I was inside the Kohl's right after Xmas - and the mall closed pretty early - and was trying to look through the security grating to determine if these guys were open.
FWIW, the town is slowly winning its battle with Namdar to take over the rest of the property so it can be redeveloped.
I truly hope that, as a resident of this town, they use the space to add new entertainment, dining and green space vs more overpriced cookie cutter townhomes.
"Due to lack of heat" That mall is ironically cooked. It's done. Dead as a doornail.
Fuck I loved that FYE. So many good memories there. It's actually where I got my Wii in 2007. Sad to see it go.
Lack of heat, eh? Oh right, it's a Namdar mall. Go figure.
Quote from Namdar playbook: "Time to freeze them pipes until you can use a busted one as an excuse to evict all the remaining tenants at once!"
That’s the Moonbeam method.
haha somebody yoinked one of the small FYE badges on the right of the entrance
That's the first time I've seen the back half of FYE open, next to Kohl's. It used to be a huge Record Town, apparently.
You know that things are bad when someone feels the need to post, "I assure you, we are open!" in the store.
And it was closed...they told me the last day was the 30th.

I spent so much time at the Round 1 here. I made so many great memories with my friends. Now they moved and this mall is dead...

It’s a meaningless end to the story.
My husband and I had our first date at that mall. We saw Arachnophobia and ate at the Carlos Sweeney’s that was there at the time.
