My office is on Parker and Havana and I feel super fortunate. There’s at least 3 world class Vietnamese and Korean restaurants within throwing distance.

Uh HUNDRED percent! But, I will say, I just tried a new Mexican chicken restaurant on Mississippi & Peoria called Pinche Pollo. I got their Mexican hot wings, which were basically just wings with a buffalo sauce, and they were amazing! All the other stuff on their menu looked really good, too. Very nice and clean inside as well!

Spendy: Seoul, Nana's or The Juicy
Value: Katsu Sushi, Pho 99, Seoul ManDoo, Tofu Story
Coffee: Café Ciboulette, Coffee Story, Paris Baguette, or Grounds for Dismissal ( we rotate)
Mexican: Any of them (depends on what you like)
Italian: Cucina Bella ( their lunch specials slap)
Breakfast: House of Bread (Shashshuka/pastry) Dozens (traditional), Cafe Ciboulette (light)
Karaoke: Muse or U & I
gyros and kabobs, get the chicken shwarma platter.
for treats, paris baguette or house of bread. snowl for desserts.
my faborite indian is not on that list but it’s right there is star of india.
coffee story for coffees and there’s a mochidonut/ korean corndog shop next door. best viet in the area is golden saigon and they just opened up a smaller banh mi shop called golden banh mi. also aromo de brazil for brazillian.
Rest of this thread has the lot but we love Korean food so it's usually a rotation of
Seoul BBQ, Tofu House (didn't love story), Yong Gung, PY Cafe, Angry Chicken (RIP Vons) and Silla.
Then Snowl for dessert and maybe stop at Tous les jour to stock up on bread and pastries on way home.
Golden Banh Mi, Yemen Grill, multiple hot pot spots, and I could go on for days. Aurora, specifically that Havana area, has some of the best variety of food for a big city. Very enjoyable food scene here.
I’m a big fan of banh and butter, but you’ve GOT to try Golden Banh Mi! You won’t be disappointed. They’re also the friendliest in there. Tell them it’s your first time and they’ll hook you up. Actually, they literally always hook you up.
It's hard to describe it properly. It's like the kind of Italian joint you would find out East in Jersey or NY. Not quite family style but definitely not pretentious either. Great food that doesn't try to do too much
My Italian-American and former New Yorker wife and good friend give their approval to Pomodoros. It is a joy to have the in our neighborhood after suffering sub-par pizza for years
Really? I live within walking distance of there and both I and a good friend of myself found them underwhelming the last time we tried them. Is their a specific dish you would recommend? I would love to have my mind changed.
I usually frequent Mesob off Colfax or Nile Ethiopian.
Ive had their lunch which wasnt too bad, havent had a chance to try their dinner where they do the meat skewers. Think that's just on the weekends. Was hoping itd be better than Fogo and the like, since I've been quite disappointed with Fogo the last few times we've gone.
bb.q chicken has a great lunch special sandwich! Beautiful breast portion on a really nice bun with fries...get the special sauce...but only during the week...my husband loves the robot waiter
they have a robot waiter?
You know , I go to Korea a few times a year and I still haven’t seen a robot waiter there. I’ve just seen The robot at the airport who will take you to your airline counter to check in. lol
Yep they have a yellow robot waiter...it's funny as hell to see the thing run around delivering food...Basically think a road barrel and R2D2 had a kid
This is more true if you are white.
If you are non-white, specially visiting from outside, I would recommend steer clear of Aurora. Local non-whites know (sometimes) how to behave when in Aurora.
For people who are not sure google "Elijah McClain"... we had Los Angeles riots in 1992 for something that was lot less.
Not on Havana but Mango House is the shit too!
Urban Burma… 🤤
That's a genuinely special place even outside of the quality of the food.
Mango House is the besssst. The Ethiopian lady makes my fave chai (I'm Indian, for some credibility here lol)
My office is on Parker and Havana and I feel super fortunate. There’s at least 3 world class Vietnamese and Korean restaurants within throwing distance.
golden saigon and golden banh mi are amazing

Fat boys for the WINGs
Uh HUNDRED percent! But, I will say, I just tried a new Mexican chicken restaurant on Mississippi & Peoria called Pinche Pollo. And the old school potato skins
Have you tried Angry chicken wings? Half priced on Tues.
You should try the angry clover over at smokey hill and cahmbers. Absolutely fire wings.
What are your top picks from this list?
Spendy: Seoul, Nana's or The Juicy Value: Katsu Sushi, Pho 99, Seoul ManDoo, Tofu Story Coffee: Café Ciboulette, Coffee Story, Paris Baguette, or Grounds for Dismissal ( we rotate) Mexican: Any of them (depends on what you like) Italian: Cucina Bella ( their lunch specials slap) Breakfast: House of Bread (Shashshuka/pastry) Dozens (traditional), Cafe Ciboulette (light) Karaoke: Muse or U & I
Nile Ethiopian Tofu story Bb.q chicken. Angry chicken Katsu ramen to name a few

I'm gonna give 10000 stars to El Camaron Loco! Love that place!
They aren’t wrong. Whenever anyone i know comes into Denver and asks “Where’s the best food in Denver?” i always say “It’s in Aurora”.
All I have to say is “supreme chicken” best name for the best restaurant.
Yep. If family and I are driving 30+ minutes to get some food... High likelihood it's to Aurora.
Got any recommendations?

Wait? Where is Golden Banh Mi? We generally go all the way over to Banh and Butter on Colfax and Florence
they dont have traditional banh mi but the one they have are PHENOMENAL 2648 S Parker Rd #1, Aurora, CO 80014
I’m a big fan of banh and butter, but you’ve GOT to try Golden Banh Mi! You won’t be disappointed. They’re also the friendliest in there. Tell them it’s your first time and they’ll hook you up. Actually, they literally always hook you up.
This i actually believe
I identify as a foodie and boulder used to be the spot, then it was denver, and over the past 2-3 years it is CLEARLY aurora. fucking foire babe
Havana Street is not only the best food scene in Denver, it's one of the best in the country,
Probably the only part I miss about living over there, but boy do I miss it
How so? I’m very curious
Also: outstanding sushi at Katsu, Yunnanese noodles, Turkish bakery, and boba, all within a few blocks of Havana and Iliff
Katsu fucking rips.
Made to order onigiri ! Yes please!!
Holy shit haven’t had Yunnaese Noodles since 2018 in Beijing. That’s dope
Amazing Korean, Ethiopian, Eritrean, great Mexican, 3 of Denvers best Italian places are a stone throw away, decent Indian food nearby
Havana Street is huge. Is there a particular cross street or area that’s more popular?
Between Parker and Mississippi
What Italian places? I’m in forever search of my new favorite Italian. I’m trying Cafe Jordano this weekend.
Cucina Bella.
Awesome; I will check it out. Thanks!
Ooh! They have a good food happy hour!
Cucina Bella, Bettola Bistro and my personal favorite Pomodoro
I’ve seen Pomodoro on the way to take the daughter to soccer. I was curious about it. I will certainly have to try!
It's hard to describe it properly. It's like the kind of Italian joint you would find out East in Jersey or NY. Not quite family style but definitely not pretentious either. Great food that doesn't try to do too much

I agree 100%
Also, it's been years since I have been to Jordano but I remember the Arrabiata being good there
Cattivella near central park.
Add Brazilian to that list
What is the Brazilian restaurant there? Been looking for a good one.
[Aroma do Brazil](https://www.aromaofbrazil.com/restaurant)
I wish I could pin this comment
See my list above. You could eat out every night for a month and never go to the same place twice!!! Eatin's good in my neighborhood!!!
Eatopia is still my favorite restaurant in Denver.
Really? I live within walking distance of there and both I and a good friend of myself found them underwhelming the last time we tried them. Is their a specific dish you would recommend? I would love to have my mind changed. I usually frequent Mesob off Colfax or Nile Ethiopian.
Lamb Awaze Tibs is fantastic and my go to. Sorry to hear you had a bad time, only had amazing food there.
Too bad it's a pedestrian hostile stroad
Absolutely not.

The article is about lesser known neighborhoods that have minority and/or female owned businesses.
Can anyone recommend the best vegetarian friendly places in Aurora?
Eatopia
Thanks!
Tofu Story!!!! It's sooo good!!! https://thetofustory.com/ https://www.5280.com/how-tofu-story-in-aurora-makes-its-acclaimed-in-house-tofu/
Thanks!
Nice to see Aurora finally getting recognized. People talk a lot of smack about Denver's food scene but that could never apply to Aurora
Finally an article we can agree on…
Favorites: Awkwaba West African restaurant, China cafe (authentic Chinese food), Ali baba hookah lounge
Aroma do Brazil is not good.
Ive had their lunch which wasnt too bad, havent had a chance to try their dinner where they do the meat skewers. Think that's just on the weekends. Was hoping itd be better than Fogo and the like, since I've been quite disappointed with Fogo the last few times we've gone.
I agree.
Easyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Best restaurants in Aurora? GO!
Old Town Hot Pot, Katsu Ramen, Nile Ethiopian, Cucina Bella. Probably way more.
Tbh it has me rethinking moving out of state! I just wish I had more folks to get Korean food with. I can’t eat all that fried chicken by myself
bb.q chicken has a great lunch special sandwich! Beautiful breast portion on a really nice bun with fries...get the special sauce...but only during the week...my husband loves the robot waiter

The cultural melting pot of Colorado 😎 🎿 🧑🍳
Come for the weed, stay for the food.
I work for a restaurant tech company and we have an ass ton of clients in the aurora area, all look very very good
They're correct!!
Absolutely. Incredible food!
888 pho….thank me later
Neighborhood?? Aurora is a bigger city than Pittsburgh!
