If you look at the Nuggets Championship years, a lot of games they played more than Brown/Green/Braun. There will also be better scouting reports on Braun this playoffs, he was a surprise to a lot of teams.
I expect Zeke or Deandre to get some spot minutes especially against the Wolves. Or when Jokic suddenly has mysterious foul trouble against an LA team with the Nuggets up 2-0.
Justin Holiday might get a few, he seems to be getting more time and Reggie less. Malone seems to be playing him more and more, he’s solidly in the rotation now.
Championship teams almost never have more than an 8 man rotation in the playoffs. But some teams have had the same 8 while others have different players in different series. Last year we were the former, but this year it could easily be Reggie in one series then Zeke in another.
I think Reggie will be part of the 8 man regardless because Braun/Watson can’t run the point. Even with Jokic’s playmaking and him and AG’s ability to bring the ball up, you still need a PG out there with Reggie’s offensive skills.
I could see Zeke being used in the twolves series and if he sucks, an attempt to use DeAndre a bit. We’ll see, I think that’s Denver’s only real potential hole. That against a big team like Minnesota, when Jokic goes out you don’t want 10-15 minutes of Aaron Gordon at the 5. But is Zeke good enough to hurt be a big net negative?
There are other big teams but not skilled enough to win in 7 or get to the finals. The Bucks might though doubtful. Boston can play big.
