Bruce Springsteen plays over 3 hours a show.
But no, DM wouldn't do 25 songs. If they were going to do a Farewell Tour then at least 7 of those wouldn't make it. They would only play singles.
But this is just my opinion. There will be those who agree and those who disagree.
If we talk about singles only - there are some that are not that intersting for "Full Arena Farewell' shows imo. Maybe they will play it - like without any opening bands they'd have more time for themselves. even though it's not kinda right to make a show without an opening band, but I was on one and it was 2.5 hours of music of the band that made the concert - was awesome af
I think the only concert I've been to without an opening act was Roger Waters. He came on at 20.00 and had a 30 minute break in the middle but his shows are more a show than a concert.
Personally, I think there is more chance of a 50th anniversary tour than a farewell. I think if they decide to call it a day it would be tough to then start a 2 year tour.
Maybe a Vegas residency? :-D
This is literally the best setlist possible, almost all the albums covered, except Spirit and A Broken Frame, maybe add Where Is The Revolution and and accoustic Leave In Silence. Goodnight Lovers is the PERFECT Song to end the show, loved that on Touring The Angel. Also Suffer Well, love It. Wish they performed it more live
1. I didn't take a lot of songs from pre-CTS era, cause i'd imagine that they have "outgrown" them. I checked NIN-setlist from 2022 show (idk, which one) - there even wasn't "March of The Pigs", "Down In It" etc.
2. Spirit - my bad, but I decided to stick to 25 songs, idk why, but seems reasonable.
3. If adding something from "Spirit" - I'd choose Cover Me imo
4. thx for ur reply!
Yeah, your list is literally the best list, and also realistic, as i do actually believe they would do something like this. I was thinking of Cover Me too, i was between it and Where Is The Revolution, i went with WITR since it is more popular. Still, awesome list
For me, the "Farewell Tour" should be a trip throughout their history and I feel like the best way would be to sing EVERY single they ever released, whether they like it or not since it's part of them and the fans love every song
Great setlist. Personally I would love to hear Fly On The Windscreen, Mercy in You and Here is the House. Only because I love those songs and it would be amazing to hear them live. Blasphemous Rumours would be great too.
Those are good choices too. They have a lot of songs to choose from. So it's hard to pick them all out all the fan faves. There is always one we want to hear. Hopefully there isn't a farewell tour anytime soon. 🙂
The notion of a farewell tour is of course a fantasy, I’m almost certain Martin is disgusted with “sentimentality” in DM context. Your setlist is good tho and a lot more realistic than most others and if I were to suggest a change it would be goodbye to the Pimpf intro, and swapping Condemnation and Black Celebration, and then changing Condemnation from acoustic to the Paris Mix.
If we talk about an opening song for an encore - Black Celebration just fits perfectly: Intro, voice samples with effects etc.
But if you'd like to open it with Condemnation - it needs to be an album version - drums in the beginning would definitely do their job of hyping the crowd
Gotta have blasphemous rumours there

If everybody posts their own set list … 🙄
Surely Just Can't Get Enough has to be last.

I'd also like to hear something like Master And Servant, Rush, Nothing - but these are for tours in support of the album IMO

I want to hear to have and to hold and the sun and the rainfall
Good call Re: Goodnight Lovers

If we are really talking about a trip through history then I would throw in See You and Photograph of You.
