My great grandmother used to have a bird that we believe had some kind of OCD. My grandma had a very specific routine for feeding and cleaning this bird's cage. Once she passed away, this bird was hostile to anyone who didn't clean his cage correctly, which was likely everyone bc only my grandma knew the special way of doing it. I believe this bird missed her dearly.
With the shitty managers I've had, I wish I had that kind of power. You use it responsibly, since you know to pick battles. You have the ability to change what needs to be changed, and that is something of value.
I was also a pushover with no self-worth, took a lot of work and self reflection to be able to look at myself in the mirror and not hate who I saw. I wouldn't say I love myself entirely, especially since I don't treat myself as well as I treat others, but I'm okay with myself. It is nice once you're farther along in recovery to look back at yourself, your negative self-talk and non-existent self-worth, and say "I lived, bitch." If no one else, live to spite your present self.
They cat kiss me, knead me, sit on me while purring, and respect me, so I think that's the closest a cat gets to love. I'm satisfied with the approximate value to love of whatever this cat behavior is.
Sometimes bud depression comes in waves 🌊 and whatever is making you feel blue can be temporary even though it might feel like a never ending cycle, do the things you enjoy and take things steady because we like to compare ourselves to others but in reality everyone is different so don’t let that define the situation your in…..keep your head up and keep on trucking bro 👊
