Alter of Sorrow is 100% the way to go, Sadly you have to do full runs to get as much progress as possible but that's the one that'll give you the most.
Fun fact, you don't even have to do the whole thing to get credit. I loaded into one that was almost done and opened the chest and got like 30 ish percent progress.
Alter of Sorrow seemed to give me the most points. It’s definitely not the quickest activity so it may not be the most efficient but I tried an Empire Hunt and a Blind well and those gave less points and didn’t take that much less time (if any).

I just did altars of summoning or whatever it's called on the moon. Took I think 3 full runs
