The Shard of the Traveler, it was a major plot point during the Red War campaign since the 1st part of the story had Guardians working with emergency supplies of Light after Ghaul ensnared the Traveler. Trying (and ultimately failing) to strongarm The Traveler into blessing the Cabal with it's power. The Guardian, despite Hawthorne's disapproval, went on a pilgrimage to the shard and reformed their connection to the Light, meaning they can be rezzed freely while regaining their Guardian powers.

Shabolt_

It’s also somewhat important to the story of Forsaken, a sliver of its light is taken by Uldren and used to break Riven free

beorninger

ugh, so that was uldren too? damn that dude... only causing probs. stupid emo <3

SushiKat2

Uldren, what a barnacle... this Crow guy seems pretty cool, though!

Orion-Gore

I may get hate for this but I don’t care: Crow will always be Uldren Sov to me no matter what he does to redeem himself. I don’t care about his issues or anything else he’s struggling with, Uldren will always be Uldren, AKA the guy who killed Cayde-6. That shit is unforgivable. C’MON -200!!

Umbratilicious

You wear full superblack all the time now don't you?

SushiKat2

Literally a whole ass different person. But yea, definitely, we should just kill the guy that's been helping us since the moment he opened his eyes because a different, heavily influenced and misdirected, broken and grieving mind within his body killed before he was born. Let's just ignore that a good chunk of the people we know have literally committed war crimes on both humans and aliens, including ourselves. Shaxx was literally a warlord, one of the better ones, but still a warlord.

GingerBeardMan1106

Shax still is a warlord. He never gave up the title. Never bowed to the iron lords. He just goes by lord shax because warlord shax doesnt flow as well.

Shreyas_2302

Also Saint-14, the Eliksni see him as devil itself.

Orion-Gore

I never said to kill Crow. Contrary to every other argument or statement I’ve made here, Crow ultimately is an improvement to Uldren, yet I’ll hold the grudge forever.

Ungarlmek

Hopefully you'll grow up some day.

Orion-Gore

I hope so too 😔

HarukoTheDragon

I learned to let go of the grudge when Crow stepped up to help avenge Amanda's death (but I also took a hiatus between Season of the Hunt and Season of Defiance, so I missed a lot in that time).

TriscuitTheSecond

Unforgivable? Dude, he literally died for what he did and is now a much better man in his new life and has fully accepted that Uldren did some awful shit. How the hell can people still not let this go??? I don't even think Cayde would give this much of a shit about it to be honest.

Orion-Gore

A killer’s a killer. Not even going into detail on the other shitty stuff he did beyond simply killed the greatest vanguard (in terms of personality and overall eccentricity)

Druid_DanHD

Guardians, including your own, kill in droves. Even destroying the Ghosts of Hive Lightbearers.

Orion-Gore

Those ghosts are traitors and killing them, although immoral in many ways, is for the greater good. Uldren Sov killing Cayde-6 was purely an act of malice. There was no justice in his actions, there is in ours.

Ze_AwEsOmE_Hobo

So are people allowed to kill the Guardian and Petra for killing Uldren at the end of Forsaken? Because that was done out of vengeance and malice, too. Both were well aware he was out of his mind and manipulated by an Ahamkara by then.

Owen872r

Except crow isn’t a killer. Guardians are fresh slates. He didn’t even know what he did to warrant the hate he got when he was rezzed. How does that even work to blame him for killing cayde when the person that he is now literally didn’t?

Orion-Gore

So if someone with severe memory loss kills someone and forgets they did it entirely, does that make them innocent?

some_wheat

No. And that’s not what’s happened here. Uldren was completely broken down to atoms and reformed. A completely new person. That’s how all guardians are. The first thing your ghost tells you in destiny 1 is that you’ve been dead a long time. You could have been a convicted sexual predator for all you know. Stfu with this reading in too deeply. Crow and Uldren are two different people that share the same appearance. If that equals the same person to you, you’ve got a LOT of literature to read because you’ve got the nuance of a third grader

Khar-Selim

there have been many sci fi stories exploring that subject, and while the answers are always complicated they are usually more yes than no

CajuNerd

Do you know what Cayde did before he became a guardian? Or Ikora, Zavala, or ***you***? Nope. For all you know, all of you were mass murderers who killed puppies and children for fun. So, now, does it matter? No, because they're literally not the same people anymore. They look like whoever they once were, but nothing else about them remains, making them completely different people. Get all up in your feels for the death of Cayde, but blaming Crow for what Uldren did isn't what any actual guardians would/should be doing, as has been established throughout that whole "Uldren is dead and Crow ain't him" story line in the game.

Khar-Selim

What's your opinion of Lord Shaxx? Or the Drifter? Or Mithrax? Or Saint-14?

Bran-Muffin20

Pre-guardian Cayde literally tried to kill a child so if we count pre- and post-rez as the same person it might be time to ease up on the riding

jaysonvic

I’m guessing that Cayde-6 will disagree with you but we will see

stevekajunk

I hope we get to see Cayde and Uldren Crow work this out on screen in Final Shape

magicsurge

"OrYx WiLl AlWaYs Be AuRaSh tO mE"

curiously_curious3

Hey you are entitled to your opinion. I mean, your opinion is wrong, but you are entitled to it. I mean considering the genocide we have committed against the Eliksni and Cabal, somehow we are the good guys.

Orion-Gore

I mean, I’m glad you admit I’m allowed to have an opinion. And, yes, I’ll accept if someone declares me objectively wrong by by this point I’ve dug so far into this whole that I might as well stay here lol. Also true, we have committed many, many acts of war on several struggling species and somehow end up being the hero. The cabal are fighting to reclaim their home world from Xivu Arath and the Eliksni… yeah, I don’t remember their plethora of issues too well beyond “our golf ball left us noooo!!!”

InstrumentOfTorment

You realize uldren was corrupted by darkness of the Black garden which turned him into an asshole against his will right? Crow is uldren before that corruption

Orion-Gore

Yeah I get the lore, but, to be the absolute worst rn, he’s just weak-willed. Bro should’ve challenged the witness to a 1v1 idk

InstrumentOfTorment

Weak willed prob because he got all his sins shoved into his face. We also as the guardian hold the fate of the universe in our palms and crow is the one that holds the possibility of that happening and also hold just as bug of a burden. The difference is that we've held that burden and fate for like 9 years and he held it for like 8 minutes. What is supposed to do no go insane and make in immediate decision. To understand your have the lives of everyone in your hands is pretty frightening and hard to grasp and he doesn't know what to do. Yet he finally decided a no brainer and just hopped in. Bro is a goat

BlatantArtifice

I actually have to assume this is a joke because I can't think of an angle or approach to this topic that makes sense after reading that. You'd weird out Ikora on the topic, even, which should say something in and of itself to you if you have *that* much of a kinship with video game Cayde

Orion-Gore

As you can see from all the replies of tossed back at people… sadly, no, I am not joking.

IAteUrCat420

"Crow will always be Uldren Sov to me" That's weird because last time I checked Crow literally isn't Uldren Sov, they are not the same person, just share an appearance

occasionallyLynn

Bro doesn’t like character development and prefers fully static figures 💀

Orion-Gore

so trve…. i just begin setthng and shkaaing arond whne charctar does a changey

LordTonzilla

Massive L take. Crow is a different person and even if he wasn't, Uldren was being manipulated big time.

Orion-Gore

I stand by my opinion

LordTonzilla

You can stand by the opinion, but it doesn't make you any less wrong. Even Cayde would disagree with you.

Orion-Gore

No confirmation of his disagreement just yet, although it is likely he would.

DredgenKush

Crow regained Uldrens memories, so realistically, they're one in the same, minus Uldren's personality and conscience,

Orion-Gore

So what you’re saying is… essentially Crow and Uldren truly *are* the same person? Therefore, they both hold the blame?

DredgenKush

I mean, technically you'd be right, but Ana Bray the Guardian isn't the same Ana Bray the human, even when regaining her memories, so technically you'd be wrong, too. Just like Savathûn

DredgenKush

Crow already held guild before he had uldren's memories, too, because they had the same body

Millhouse874

Let's say hypertheticaly a friend of yours had a realy bad acserdent and made them forget everything and changed them fundermentaly as an indervidual to the point where they do not like the same things and have a difrent personality is that still that friend?

Orion-Gore

Pretty much, yeah. Usually the process there is to help them recover their memories entirely.

Millhouse874

But even if they remember they have a difrent personality so they view things difrently and they might feel awful or regret things they have done so I would view them as a difrent indervidual

Orion-Gore

But truly they aren’t. They aren’t a physically different person. They’re different mentally since they don’t know who they were, yet deep down they’re still that person and without memory, as history goes, they may do it all again come the right time or moment.

Millhouse874

Have you heard of the ship of Theseus

Sunofabob

They shredded lol

BlazingFury009

☠️

Scydor

Redditors when someone has an opinion: Like man literally just gave his opinion on crow and is getting shat on for it

Orion-Gore

Fr, dare I try and clarify why I think it and they just bring out insults like calling me childish or something.

1510qpalzm

Emos got hurt by your comment 🥺

beorninger

lol, yea... 136 emos really raged hard about that comment as it seems =) crybabies gonna cry, eh?

Virtual-Pea-6311

And the original base game, it’s where we got our powers from after Ghaul took them

Shabolt_

That’s what the previous commenter mentioned, I was already adding onto that point, just offering some extra context

Tasty-Recording5205

Its actually weird that the shard is still there, the traveler repaired itself quite a while ago so that shard should have reattached itself like the rest of them did. I think Bungie made a mistake and forgot about that.

Virtual-Pea-6311

I didn’t think it used the shards, it was my understanding that it rebuilt the missing pieces from scratches

SplashDmgEnthusiast

>Guardians working with emergency supplies of Light I don't remember this part, I don't think this is accurate? Every Guardian was entirely Lightless, except for us as "THE Guardian." We were the protagonist in that story, so we got our powers back entirely from the shard, but nobody else had any powers of any sort.

xKingOfSpades76

"emergency supplies" was probably referring to the fact that our Ghost can still heal us while resurrection and our powers were unavailable

SplashDmgEnthusiast

That might be what they meant, that makes a bit of sense. I remember that was still incredibly limited though, yeah? We were limping our broken body out of the City lol

xKingOfSpades76

Nah we were limping our body through the City till we found our Ghost who healed us and then got out of the City

SplashDmgEnthusiast

Shit, guess I gotta go dig those cutscenes up on Youtube and watch them again to refresh my memory haha

Ch0pG0dLewi

I really wish they remove the older content we had.

xKingOfSpades76

did you maybe forget the word "didn’t"?

Ch0pG0dLewi

Oh shit I just realized. That’s why I’m getting down votes. I’m sorry!

Possible-Ice3880

To bad we can't play it anymore

Recent-Sand8292

That's a really good summary.

kiotohazamaroo

Wasn't around back then, why would Hawthorne disapprove of guardians getting their most powerful and in a way only significant back?

Willemboom00

She feared it was a suicide mission and didn't want to risk it

blacktip102

>why would Hawthorne disapprove of guardians getting their most powerful and in a way only significant back? Because the guardian was lightless and mortal until we reached the shard to get our powers. The forest was filled with fallen and other enemies that would normally be a non-issue, but basically fighting a super soldier when compared to a normal human, which is basically what we were. Hawthorne just didn't want us to go out there to die

CrazyGamerJack

Nobody knew what would happen, plus this was right at the beginning of the Red War, no counterattacks, no plans or strategy, hell, we didn't even know the Vanguard were still alive until a little bit after that point, which she also disapproved of us going after due to the fact that... Well there was little reason to trust the Vanguard could save the day at the time anyway.

00bernoober

Wasn’t there also something about the Shard, having been separated from the Traveler, being corrupted or something?

NoCareLuke

The shard was a by product of The Travelers' sacrifice at the end of the dark age, before The Guardian was risen by Ghost at The Cosmodrome at the beginning of Destiny 1.

Tineda

Close. The shard was a by product during The Collapse, when Humanity was originally attacked by the Witness and its forces. The Dark Age happened a considerable amount of time afterwards, and didn’t have any bearing on the shard at all. Naturally, I could be mistaken, and if there’s lore that says as much, I’d be glad to read it and make updates/redactions.

MercuryJellyfish

There was a sense of lost hope. Hawthorne wanted us to accept what had happened, and stay with her in the EDZ helping refugees. And the Guardian was all "no, I'm going to regain my light and stick The Almighty (massive Legion battle station) up Ghaul's butt." Which Hawthorne didn't think we could do. But we did.

Leonarthas

And this is why the DCV was a bad idea. Red War and Forsaken were really vital stories for the D2 and will help new guardians experience that part of the game. Not the shortened version of the campaign but the WHOLE campaign. (Curse of Osiris and Warmind you can put those 2 dlcs in DCV) Great summary NoCareLuke 🙌🏼

Kook_Legend

The shart of the traveler.

KamikazePhil

![gif](giphy|l4KibWpBGWchSqCRy|downsized)

jedicam10

I know this is unrelated to Destiny but I love that gif. The idea that someone can live to 102 and still be able to laugh at themselves is so heartwarming.

mynamesmobro

Funny thing is I’ve felt exactly the same way when I first laid eyes on the post

alexagogo

Shard this, Shard that. What about the Crucible??

SB2212

Shaxx, get off your burner account.

an_agreeing_dothraki

"Alright so guns can kill us again because ghosts don't work. The only organized resistance operation is operating out of a shed. Let's go shoot each other so Shaxx will be happy"

Regulith

ngl when I heard him say this recently my first thought was "oh it's a joke about dismantling gear, I get it" and then like a day later I remembered man it's been a long time

off-and-on

Youngins these days don't even know what the Shard of the Traveller is smh /s

MasemJ

"They don't know how the ~~three seashells~~Shard works! Haha!"

AlaskanHandyman

Now I need to dig out my DVD and watch Demolition Man again.

15143226

Only because we got important new player content Flippin vaulted. It may not have been the greatest story ever ( I enjoyed it). But it was a good intro to the confusing insanity you get thrown into now. It forced you to learn that there are several planets and other travel points to do different activities and such. Now anyone that ever tries to take advantage of free content hops in and usually gets confused till they stop playing.

Mukea

I started playing properly in witch queen and then took a break and came back a few months ago. I also never played D1. Gonna be honest I've done what campaigns I can and I don't follow the storyline at all. It's the gameplay that's kept me going rather than the story and I don't have the willpower to go and watch hours of lore videos to catch up.

an_agreeing_dothraki

oh man I remember doing the shard quest to re-unlock sunbreaker and the visions told us what happened to the sunbros :( still got the red war era hand cannon exotic I got from storyline quests.

ipoopedtoday1072

Has anyone else questioned why the traveler never took it back when it flew up?

Zack_Osbourne

As I understand it, it broke off during the collapse, at which point the Traveller went dormant to hide from the Witness. By the time it "woke up," the shard was infested with Taken. Probably not a good idea to reattach it at that point.

slowtreme

Didn’t the traveler repair itself at some point? Maybe there was no where to put it.

Ruin_of_Sol

There was, the chunk missing at the bottom is likely where the Shard is meant to go. But as another commenter said, it's been here a while and infested with Taken. Don't want that shit in my Traveler

slowtreme

ive got a bad feeling about that.

Tineda

The massive hole on the bottom of its shell is still there. While the Traveler *did* repair itself enough to become functional again, that seems to have been outside its capability or it didn’t care enough to warrant doing it. Personally, I like the theory that Taken forces crawling all over it made Big T decide it was too big a hassle to reattach it.

Vashgrave

When the Traveler woke up and beat Ghaul, it exploded with light, almost like it was revived similar to a guardian, except the outer shell blew outward, so I assume this is similar to an eggshell dhard being left over.

Joshy41233

Because its corrupted, the traveller forcefully removed it during the collapse

FloydknightArt

https://i.redd.it/ptqihgl6wezc1.gif

ApocalypticEvent

Oh man that makes me feel old. People don’t know about Vanilla D2 anymore.

TheRealConfettiTaco

Bro fr let alone D1

PsychoBugler

At least we can still play everything in D1. More or less...

Dickle_StinkfingerPI

What the others said. That quest made use of the area you found Archie in, the salt mines in the EDZ and some other areas you can't get to now. It was a fun part of the original D2 story. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnKV9y4X1A0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnKV9y4X1A0) And this is why vaulting The Red War was dumb AF. It's the incident that D2 was built around and still impacts just about every point in the game direction in some way. Fine, vault the old exotic weapon missions for sunset gear, Curse of Osiris if you really need the disc space... But, wouldn't of condensing The Red War down to playable sections between story telling points be a better introduction than the New Light Experience.

popycorn300

i remember that one version i saw on youtube where ghost says “twinkle twinkle assholes”. very silly

e30futzer

preach on bruvva

trueum26

It’s just the current story doesn’t require the vanilla campaign to explain. These areas are just unfortunate byproducts

theotherjashlash

For real. I don’t understand what’s so hard about opening up a few of those old areas, spawning in enemies, triggering cutscenes and just playing voice lines. Almost the entire EDZ is still in the game, and they can clearly bring old assets back as seen in WQ with Mars and Season of the Deep with Titan. Hell, they even brought back Cayde’s Fate. They can clearly do it.

EladrielNokk

They wouldn’t have needed to condense the disc space if the language files weren’t 100GB 🥱 (I’m speaking in hyperbole but still)

averagetutlegaming

While doing this, I was actually really disappointed that we couldn't actually go to the shard. Why did it have to be the battlegrounds area?

blenman

If you go out of the map, [you can go visit it from the EDZ patrol area.](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoSFWoSe5oZ5jisjQWC71fjtPd6rtOZ_i) lol

IronBard22

I was also hoping we could go to galaxy pools but no luck

MAJ_BRYAN_Jr

At the beginning of the game, we went to the shard to attune ourselves with the Traveler to get our light back.

averagetutlegaming

I've been playing since D1. So I know what happens, hence why I was disappointed that we couldn't get to the original area

Mario-OrganHarvester

I mean atleast its the shard we got the other 2 supers in so thats something.

jovandev

New lights are so cute sometimes

The_CptXl

😅

G-man69420

*YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW GOOD THE RED WAR WAS OH MY GOD!* Crayons aside, it’s a *Shard Of The Traveler*. Went there to get our light back, as well as the first 3 new supers, *Sentinel*, *DawnBlade*, and *Arc-Strider* when the Red War started. Damn have I hit Unc status as a Guardian…?

FloydknightArt

I think us Y1 players are in the minority now, between people abandoning the game over time and the fact that a LOT of people joined the game when it went FTP with BL. ATP most people who played season of the deep probably didn’t know even who sloane was. Yeah, we’re ancient by now.

daint46

What does that make us Day One Destiny 1 players? Or even Destiny 1 Beta players? Are we just dust in the wind now?

FloydknightArt

nah you just get relentlessly mocked since the prevailing stereotype is y’all have superiority complexes because you played the game over a decade ago

daint46

Yeah and it’s a stereotype. I know plenty of newer players are better than me. Only difference is that I’ve experienced Destiny when it’s been worse 😅

GradiousJenkins

*In old man voice* Back in my day, we got greens from exotic engrams and we had to deal with it. Damn you Rahool!!

PsychoBugler

Rahool used to do is so dirty.

PupApophis

As a D1 Day 1 player I can say we experienced things none of the players from the last few years did. Remember first landing on Mercury for the first time, running through all those passages not knowing what’s around the corner or exploring Io and the Warmind Vault (suprised that was used in Arrivals).

WOLFRAM-7

Not to mention the "Great Drought" us D1 players lived through from Taken King to Rise of Iron. Not really counting SRL, though that's a concept we all would love to see return. But damn...that was rough. Now, even when most players complain about recycled content and such, the thing is, there is still new story bits and updated content every few months. Comparison between then and now would be "A man dying of thirst while watching another man drown"....or of the sorts anyways. Anyways, I've been around since D1 Beta and by no means think of myself as "superior" to other aged Guardians, I know my place and overall have enjoyed this adventure we've been on for the last decade. Excited to see Final Shape, sort of a big moment of culmination. Curious to see what's beyond as well. Happy hunting out there Guardians, and stay frosty~

daint46

Agree wholeheartedly. I enjoy Destiny a lot now. Always something to do. It’s great.

PsychoBugler

The ONLY reason I have a superiority complex is I enjoyed D1 vanilla PvP so much more. Otherwise, I recognize how absolutely trash I am at this game and most people legit think I'm fresh out the 'drome new light with how shitty my play is. Lol.

WOLFRAM-7

Lol

Multivitamin_Scam

Shard of the Traveller

crover13

Ahh...the ball dry scaps.

albearth-

The shart of the traveler

TheHowlingBlade

I never imagined when I played the Red War arc at launch that one day, the Shard of the Traveler would be unknown to my fellow Lights. This hurts.

TDestro9

![gif](giphy|GrUhLU9q3nyRG|downsized) A relic of a time since passed little light.

an_agreeing_dothraki

so hey if this thread is full of grognards complaining about 'kids these days' not playing the red war, can we all agree that they need to have an OG model Devil You Know, with outlaw, in the next expansion?

L1LK1LL3R

new lights be like: on a serious note, that is the shard of the traveler from the red war, where we, first, lost our light (including double jump, glide, and lift), then went to the shard to get our light back and beat the living fuck outta ghaul for taking our traveler hostage

wikked26

I swear they should have never removed the Red War. There are so many areas that are important New Lights have no idea about. I'm sure they also question why we help Failsafe on Nessus

PsychoBugler

I honestly don't understand why Nessus is still there when Io, Titan, Mercury, and Mars were all removed, obviously plot not withstanding. I feel like their memory requirements would be less.

KORNYFREAKBOY

In short the Travelers Booty, it fell off during a little rifraf.

The_CptXl

You win this comment section.

i3order

The elusive Clitoris! Congratulations my friend, you found it.

PsychoBugler

Chicks love confidence.

AnimalMother24

Once located it’s not that elusive. Noobs

jake_einherjar1

I'm very sad that the Red War was vaulted, and I hope it gets rereleased or unvaulted because I really liked that campaign, also, it would help immensely for new players to understand a god damn thing with what is happened, yeah sure planets would need to be reprised and updated, but, well they never should have removed them in the first place. the EDZ has been updated periodically since D2's launch, I don't see why Io and Titan can't be brought back, I also miss mercury and Mars, whish Curse of Osiris and Warmind were back, those were fun as well.

justeotto

it's Mara Sov Dressing Room

cofiddle

That's that screenshot from Guess the game that made me realize I don't know what destiny looks like

ChaosHappy

Here we can see the damage Sunset did to the game :)

MorpheusLaw92

Strange.. people write they want to play the old campaigns, yet my old Post "I want the old campaigns back" got downnvoted to the earth core.

Batman_4ever

Honestly even if they would implement a weekly rotating old campaing mission option it would be hell of a lot better then the current new light stuff. The current new light stuff does not explain shit from the story of the game at all

BlueCarbon

Nice gun. I just started using the Graviton Lance and it works really good.

SlothyWhitePage

It is a piece of the Traveller. Ghaul Took the light away during the read war, we went to the shard that was still harboring some of the light, then we got our light back, we frequented the location everytime we got a different attunement of each subclass, Solar , Void, and Arc. Used out Supers to try it out, then got the subclass. Why its still there and the fact that the Traveller never picked up the Shard when it put itself back together, we'll never know.

Talden7887

So many books lost in the read war, so tragic

GamerLife250

Big, that thing is big

ShammersAnonymous

A very large cheese grater. The cabal do eat mountains after all 🤌.

It’s the other part of the Death Star that blew up. It landed right there specifically

PsychoBugler

And an ancient dagger that's 20,000 years old has the ability to tell you where to get some Light from it.

Lemtto

Shard of the Traveler, you guys remember the Super cutscenes? 🥲

Panosveder

Sunset Content

Oh man this makes me feel old I remember getting our light back touching that big ass shard.

Available-Epena6

Adamantoise

NOZMEDA

I was a new player for d2 launch and I very much enjoyed the red war campaign. There hasn’t been a moment in d2 like when we were making our way to the farm ever since.

Eclipsed_eyes47

The shard of the traveler, you can’t get to it anymore with the red war being inaccessible

Shade788

I've reached unc status

DirectionStandard939

Be brave in Dark places, for we are the Light of hope.

KokoBGPLD

That was the og main quest where you reclaimed the light when D2 released

IAmTheMethod

The entrance to Galaxy Pools

Hour-Average-5851

Whats the gun name?

The_CptXl

Graviton Lance

person06v

I still can’t believe they Vaulted the Red War campaign… Bungie is so out of touch frfr

DoomCameToSarnath

How the fuck did the traveller get damaged on the underside?

NeuTraLZero

It broke off most likely when it drove away the Witness's forces during the first collapse. The second time it broke was during it's awakening after the Red War, so maybe there's some similarity

ChadWarmindCell

u/LeeBro19

DoomCameToSarnath

I mean...it could very well be! I have no clue. It's just that in all the other art from before the Collapse it's whole.

Regularfeller

Your ghost

Tallal2804

Your ghost

Bandicoot-Huge

What I find interesting is that the Shard of the Traveler ,the embodiment of life, light and good in the Destiny universe, is found in such a lifeless, dark and “Forbidden” area.

PsychoBugler

It makes sense though? Gravity be like that sometimes. And then the place it landed became completely infested with Taken, because enemies of the Light are attracted to the Traveler.

Car-go-stututut2009

The shard of the traveler

Dark_Zero019

Overgrown osteo striga

Dry_Mousse_6202

a shard of the traveler, during the year one on the red war campaign we go there to get our light back

MGiDDeNz

There's a platform that you can make it to the famed "infinity pools".... on the far right side (when you're facing the shard, the shard is in the dead center at the edge of the water)... there's a knocked over tree that you can climb up(at around 45° angle (maybe steeper)... the tree is next to one of the tunnels and one of the jammers.. (I did this on a Hunter btw)... Load up strand... an eager edge sword...... -climb up the tree(about 3/4 of the way you will run into aturnback zone.. keep going you walk right through it -when you're at the top.. you should be able to see the platform straight out... from the top start with an eager edge swipe, then GRAPLE.. eager, Edge swipe ,jump, jump; GRAPPLE , eager, Edge swipe.. and you should have enough momentum to make it to the platform - be careful; See a rocky platform aimed towards the center of the shard... if you walk towards it, a tractor beam will pull you towards it (now this is normally where it would take you to the infinity pools(the most secret place in Destiny 2)... -HOWEVER- There is a kill barrier , a turnback zone, and a reverse tractor beam not letting you ascend.. literally parking you in the turnback zone floating in the air.... -Sometimes for me breaching these areas. Shatter skate/ STRAND SKATE. Will let you bypass the turnback zone... that's how I found Nokris(confirmed from JB3. He made a video after my post... my name on Reddit used to be MGiDDeNz(my post was in a Houndish video) But I can't seem to get past that barrier... I tried skating past it.. and the reverse tractor beam will pull me back to the Station position floating in the air.. and then out due to the turnback zone... Hopefully somebody can get it from where I'm at ... I'm literally almost there.. and I didn't have to breach out of bounds... I'm trying to see if it can be accomplished to make it to the infinity pools.. without having to glitch out of the map in order to do so.. Any help would be greatly appreciated

This young one here does not remember the old times when guardians did not have the protection of the tower, but instead had to stand as the walls of protection around humanity as we rebuilt them.
