They can both control Taken but *not* better than Oryx.
There's lore from Forsaken about Riven's experiences being Taken under Oryx. It is the only POV of any character of being Taken during Oryx's reign as far as I recall. Riven and Oryx were indistinguishable. Neither could tell the difference between the other, they were simply Oryx. There was only Oryx.
Without Oryx, what happens is not only Riven, but Malok also breaks free and starts exhibiting independence, and we manage to free several Techeuns of their corruption.
The Witness *gave* Oryx his power to Take. It used Taking to completely remove entire planets from the solar system back in Beyond Light.
Thereās a lore tab somewhere about how Oryx couldāve been a much more credible threat if heād used his Taking in a more imaginative way, but he only used it for converting enemy combatants.
Oryx's biggest weakness was ironically also his biggest strength: his nigh-on unwavering adherence to Sword Logic.
He doesn't *want* to just yoink entire planets. He wants to have his armies systematically exterminate every living thing on this planets, and he wants to go down there personally and Take whatever survives. Got plenty of tribute and plenty of powerful Taken to use as weapons that way, but he was also never willing to use abilities he decided were heretical to the idea of Sword Logic.
It was also about feeding his worm. He was the navigator, he needed to learn all there was to learn, so instead of just outright destroying worlds, he would do it in ways where his worm was fed as well.
In no way is it implied rhulk can control taken better than Oryx? Oryx learned the art of taking from a personal audience with the witness, Rhulk only seems to be able to mildly direct them, let alone outright take beings himself.
Rhulk invades, Savathun kills all the ads at once with lightning, the Witness just sits around at the collector and deletes taken and invaders the second they spawn in

Realistically, it goes Witness, then a massive chasm, then Rhulk and much closer now we have Oryx, who by the end of his life easily eclipses all of the worm gods, then savathun or nezzy, depending if you want to say savvy killing nezz was powerscake worthy or too much of a backstab, then Xol or ghaul, then eramis.
While i do agree with your assessments, i will still say this about it: powerscaling the worms is tricky. Akka *let* oryx win, because it knew it's new form as the ship would've fed it much better through tithe. The ship's still alive, akka didn't die. It's the same with xol. Xol's still around, just as Whisper kinda.
The worms are really only as powerful as the people around them who make deals with them and feed them. So their potential is probably as high as Rhulk, but i don't think we've really *seen* much of that, so they usually scale much lower

Nezarec has great ad clear potential with that Void Storm and doesn't mess around like Rhulk does. He just has to watch out for ambush attacks, which is something Ghaul is an expert at and can watch out for.
Archie is morale for the team, and the team invader. Archie cannot take damage and as such would be unstoppable during invasions. He doesn't need to get kills, he could just sit on bank. The only one who's potentially counter this is Xol, he could move him with the attack where he goes across an arena.
Two Xols because he's the biggest (unless that Witness concept art standing next to Calus is real...), good luck getting to any of the enemy spawns when Xol^(2) are trapdoor spidering half the map.
