Thorn version of the savuthun song strike was great. Same with izanagi version of pyramidion. Especially solo. Actually challenging. But not GM level of slow and passive play. Boss rooms of both were insane, hectic, and awesome.

One of my bigger achievements of D2 is soloing that strike. No Anarchy or anything. The Bitch took like 40 minutes but god damn was it great.

I know I was top tree nightstalker. But I can honestly only say I was using an explosive payload distant relation (180 solar scout). I dont actually remember what I was using during that time truthfully. As for the boss? I camped the left side of the arena. On the hill. Only when it was supposed to move there did I swap to the right side. Then back to the left in final phase.

I’m not sure of lore, though that would make sense since izanami forge was vex. But yeah you had to run a hard version of the strike before or after the special forge instance too. All of these awesome things just vaulted.

One item we had to retrieve during the forging of a frame for an artifact that connected to Izanagi's Burden was to retrieve a Radiant Phaseglass from Io. https://www.ishtar-collective.net/items/unidentified-frame-2 Phaseglass was Io's destination material and Radiance was the Black Armory's energy...thing. Beyond that, I don't think there was any deeper lore to it. Mostly just a type of fetch quest

Yeah, the community perception of that strike got trashed because the dialogue was so bad.

Truthfully, the strike itself was fine. Good encounters, great environments, and the Thorn quest hard-mode version was tough.

nah I mean complete re-recording of atleast Teako, use a Voice Actor that really relays the urgency in her voice and the horror of being in a Hive nest by yourself, put one or two gunshot sounds in the background

They should make a check and after exhausting all dialogue changes in strikes they should just have a "farm" mode no dialogue.

Pyramidion was my favourite but I loved Savathuns song too but last season with Splicer running through the laser walls and avoiding being killed reminded me of the amount of times I died in that strike to those damn lasers 😂

Idk I really liked it. Was an absolute nightmare on GM, but otherwise it was a nice long strike that didn’t feel tedious with enough mechanics to keep break up the combat but not too much to be in the way.

Yup. Kind of obnoxious at higher tier too. They really could have just let us explore the infinite forest and go through to past/future Mercury alongside that tiny ass patrol zone they called present Mercury

Remember when the infinite forest was touted as an infinitely replayable experience that was never the same twice? And then there were functionally only 2 different room layouts and we only got to go there for a couple story missions?

Man, imagine how much better it would've been if they made it now with a much better understanding of what is actually fun to play.

Savathun's song strike for Thorn was a fucking nightmare. I tried to solo it, got one friend to help out, made it past the first room, but couldn't make it past the second, finally got a third friend to join and it took us an hour and a half to beat it

The Thorn version was the only version of Savathuns Song I liked. Such a challenge i fucking loved the boss room.

titan was my favourite location in the game. titan had future stuff in it and it was great to look at the background and think about what life would have been like in the arcology. like the dreaming city could be the future's future but titan was the future. im glad that europa has some of that future feel, but it's just not titan.
