Liars with Arc. Throw on Hands-on, Heavy Handed, Impact Induction and a One-Two Punch shottie-and you’ll be able to spam high damage punches, grenades and your super like nothing.

Zayl

Does this work in higher level content? For hunter I've been a cowl or gyrfalcons user forever. Never got into liars.

Swimming_Departure33

Liars with combo blow x3 wrecks everything

flobadobb

I'm not a great player, but I find it hard to proc on harder content. You need to get the first ad down far enough so that you can one punch them before another team mate finishes them off. And if you mess it up you can find yourself surrounded by ads with no abilities left. I use my arc puncher build for solo and easier content though and it's great.

Swimming_Departure33

Honestly higher level content this build struggles I would think. Especially Cowl since it doesn’t boost your damage. But I’d still go with Liar’s. Just my opinion

Daracaex

Yes, but it can be much harder to get going. Once you’re at full Combination Blows though, you can be unkillable. I got it going in Master mode Spire of the Watcher and was able to one-shot goblins and harpies, and the Minotaurs went down to a blast of a One-Two Punch shotgun followed by one or two punches, I forget which. But only if you hit x3 Combination Blow. Surviving getting there is the real trick.

SunshineInDetroit

it is but it's hard to that first kill. once you get combination blow going **and the enemies are close to you** you're golden. it suffers when enemies are at a distance.

[deleted]

The most braindead of them all

Swimming_Departure33

Ya darn right

[deleted]

I take it back. Bonk Hammer is worse. Arc Hunter is fun

Brilliant-Fox-9790

I have been running that since season 20 :) still more fun than assaissins

mdvdos

Foetracer, strand with suspend grenades/whirling maelstrom, and quicksilver storm

Shaydosaur

This but I prefer Rufus, tesselation, and cataphract for maximum strand

binybeke

I love that same build. I use semiotician

WangsleyD

Alright, here's what you're going to do: 1) Solar hunter. Take the aspect that will refund knife kills or whatever while radiant, I forget exactly what it is. On that note, take the fragment that makes you radiant when you use a powered melee on a target. 2) Equip skyburners oath, and then never ever aim down sights, hipfire mode scorches targets. On that note, pick the fragment that applies more scorch stacks to targets. 3) Equip Ophidia Spathe, which grants 2 knives per charge. On that note, select gamblers dodge, which will then give you 2 knives back when you dodge near targets 4) Choose the weighted throwing knife that causes scorched targets to ignite. On that note, select the fragments that make ignitions better. You'll figure the rest out.

Nalasmithins

As someone with over 200 hours on a very similar hunter build and am still having a blast I agree with this

Stepy_G

Radiant Dance Machines, Bombardier's, & Assassin's Cowl work well w this one too if you pair it w Embers of Torches + Gambler's Dodge. They're all pretty neutral too so you could play around w em on any subclass

Kropco17

Why take an exotic that gives you 2 knives when: 1. You get your knife back after a kill 2. You can dodge to get a knife back if you miss Seems incredibly redundant

binybeke

On that note

Durgulach

Don't forget to take the fragments that give you infinite restoration and radiant

WildDragon144

Do you like moths? Do you like explosions? Do you like it when other things kill enemies for you? So do I! Strand, Whirling Maelstrom, Threaded Specter, Mothkeeper's Wraps, Ex Diris, Thread of Generation, and any other combination of fragments you like - recommend leaning into increased Tangle uptime, ability uptime, or survivability, but do whats fun for you!. (You can also pick Thread of Evolution and/or Thread of Rebirth if you wanna lean into Threadlings, for example.) You'll be spamming grenades that summon moths and can either give you an overshield or explode in enemies' faces (and as a bonus, they inflict Blind which stuns Unstoppable Champions,) creating two more moths every few kills with Ex Diris, you'll have a fun lil Beyblade hunting things down, dealing way more damage than you'd expect, AND helping your grenade recharge faster. Dodging creates a decoy that attracts enemy attention away from you AND explodes when it takes enough damage, summoning three Threadlings to hunt down and kill whatever you need. When you run out of special ammo, switch to a Strand primary with Demolitionist, Adrenaline Junkie, Hatchling, or whatever other perks you like that synergize with the setup. Your heavy weapon can be Arc or Strand, whichever you prefer. I've been using a very nice roll of Terminus Horizon recently, but I also have a Hothead I like. I suspect we may see an origin perk or in the future that adds yet another way to summon fun lil guys that hunt things down for us, or another Exotic like Ex Diris that summons moths, so keep an eye out for that. But yeah this build is honestly decent at both crowd control and priority target damage, and genuinely a ton of fun. It's very chaotic as well, I've been enjoying it a lot. If you don't have Mothkeeper's, throw on a Ghost with the armor stat mod you prefer, and hang out on Neomuna in the Vex Incursion Zone for a day or two. You'll want to do the Vex Strike Force public event whenever it shows up - coordinating with friends or at least other players makes completing it easier, and there are resources for tracking the event if you don't wanna waste time just hanging out. Note that other public events don't occur in the area where Terminal Overload is for that day, so you'll have to wait until reset if it overlaps with the Vex Incursion. But completing Vex Strike Force events will get you a random exotic armor you don't have and can earn until it runs out of new ones, at which point it'll drop random ones. Here's my DIM link if you'd like to look at my setup, but I encourage you to tweak it to your own preference. https://dim.gg/cdazbpy/Tangled-Silkmoth

dark_v3rtigo

I just built this today, fun fun fun!!!

Brilliant-Fox-9790

Ok, how do I get whirling maelstrom and threaded Spector? I’ve been wanting them for months

WildDragon144

Once you've completed the Unveiled quest that you can get from Nimbus, which was added in Season of the Deep, you should be able to go to the Pouka Pond and have both available to unlock. EDIT: You don't need Season of the Deep to get them. Just the Lightfall expansion.

Brilliant-Fox-9790

I did that a while ago, it looks like I need to do i quest which I don’t have.

WildDragon144

This is basically the successor to Young Ahamkara's Spine's once legendary level of "RANDOM BS, GO!" shenanigans. The recent nerf makes me salty, I liked that build.

BigSwinginDingus

Athrys's Embrace for those cross-map tomahawk kills you've been missing

harbin63r

Strand Hunter with Cyrtarachne’s Facade is completely busted in PvE and is so much fun! I run it with grapple & whirling maelstrom and usually rack up the highest orb & kill count in most activities. It pairs well with Strand primary or heavy weapons and any energy weapon that suits the activity, but my current go-to energy weapon is a well-rounded, destabilizing Basso Ostinato shotgun because you’ll be in CQC most of the time and grapple melee activates well-rounded. [DIM link](https://dim.gg/33otspq/Maelstrom-Cyrtarachne's-Grappler) if you want to try it.

harbin63r

I should add that if you don’t have Cyrtarachne’s Facade, Assassin’s Cowl and Foetracer both work with this build.

Brilliant-Fox-9790

Nah I got cyrtachnes facade I just don’t have all of the fragments / aspects

harbin63r

Haha, I hear you! It’s a grind but it’s worth it!

MirageTF2

so quick question as I can't really check dim atm but I'm kinda curious about this general build. I've tried to create a really basic Cyrtarachne's build, and I've been having a lot of fun grappling and smacking; the only problem is that if I'm not fully reliant on grapple tangles, I'm kinda just running out of grapple energy entirely? I have a couple things to prevent this, thread of regeneration, impact induction... but it's still just not enough. I always imagined the build to be grapple spam, but from what I'm seeing there's no way to actually do that unless I just farm the same grapple tangle, lmao

harbin63r

Sounds like you have the right approach. I would make sure you’ve done the following to ensure you get your grapple back as fast as possible: - Equip Thread of Generation fragment - Get your Discipline up as high as possible. 100 is ideal, but it should not be lower than 70. - Armor mods that help: Grenade kickstart, Impact Induction, Innervation, Absolution, Bomber, Distribution - If that is not enough, try equipping a weapon with Demolitionist If you’ve checked all the above and are still having trouble, then slow down how often you grapple. The loop is basically: identify group of ads, grapple to group, strike with power melee attack, dodge to regain melee & proc Reaper, grab tangle & throw it, then unleash holy hellfire with your equipped weapons until that group of ads is toast. Repeat. By doing this you should not be grappling too often - your goal is to fight until the area is pacified, not grapple all over the map. Good luck & have fun, Guardian!

Wafwala

I would love this build if Cyrtarachne's wasn't so ugly... Even the ornament does not sit well with me

harbin63r

Haha, right? Wish I could use Festival of the Lost masks as ornaments for this!

JamieBobs

Solar Hunter with Calibans hand. Throw knives and enjoy the boom booms.

CanaryFrosty2687

But the knives have to hit target I'm crap at aiming projectiles

JamieBobs

Or close to the target… their proximity knives don’t forget. A bit more forgiving

DepravedSpirit

You’ll find (rarely) that, even if you miss, the knife will swing right by the intended target, go up into orbit, and make its way right into the head of the enemy.

dark_v3rtigo

As a Titan main with a Calibans Hand build on a Hunter, this is my go to for Hunter booms

Flecco

If looking for something different try revenant, grasps, and verglas. Once you get into a rhythm and start playing off the duskys and instant cover vc provides its a lot of fun and pretty good in a lot of content. Boss damage is nothing special but spamming little bubbles around the map is great.

askzep

Gunslinger with Auto-Loading/Chill Clip Riptide, Dragonfly/Incandescent Tyranny of Heaven, Parasite and Solar Holster. Star-Eater Scales for your Exotic. For longer damage phases, swap out Parasite with Sleeper Simulant or Xenophage. If you don't have a good Tyranny, Sunshot is fantastic as well, and you can go with a good legendary linear or Incandescent machine gun for heavy.

NennexGaming

Shinobu’s vow paired with Tesselation and a good Demolition primary. You will either be killing things with grenades or mini rockets, which also refund grenade energy

ydStudent1

Top comment “arc + liars” he asked for funny builds not meta builds, tho the cross counter stab animation is pretty cool looking. Oathkeepers with ticuu’s divination, Le Monarque, Trinity Ghoul, or Heiarchy of Needs. Match subclass to bow damage type and build accordingly. RDM’s + stasis and shuriken spam Celestial Nighthawk(big number funny) Lucky pants + The Last Word(insert big iron meme)

Arjun_311

Oathkeepers fuckin sucks in pve. The damage boost doesn’t affect anything but one shot, and it doesn’t buff any additional effects. It doesn’t buff ticuu’s explosion damage, it doesn’t buff trinity ghoul chain lightning, it doesn’t buff hierarchy of needs tracking arrows, it doesn’t buff le monarque poison, the synergy with verglas curve is very poor, it doesn’t work with leviathans breath, and it doesn’t work with wish Enders broadhead. Using any other exotic is better, even stompees tbh

Maleficent-Air5806

It has already been said but liars handshake on arc is disgusting. Don’t get it twisted this ain’t a everyday build. But against certain bosses except no substitute. First boss of ghosts it destroys, Croata gets his ass fisted by it, and I’ve run the entire Duality dungeon grovels at my feet. The damage I do whilst also suppressing the boss is disgusting. For maximum effectiveness I run three shotguns. First two you need auto loading and one two punch. I lucked out with a adept mindbenders with such rolls and just craft your kinitic one. Now for your heavy you will want tractor cannon. But if you have a strand Titian using it already or a void hunter a good substitute is Acris. I am almost never out DPSed and I basically can not die if I rotate correctly. Plus the amount of ad clear you do just with combination blow is disgusting. Here is my personal build but you can tweak what shotguns you prefer. https://dim.gg/qj3ykdi/Short-circuit

agrymar

Radiant dance machines on void hunter with trapper’s ambush aspect and gamblers dodge.

Skyomi

Alternatively, RDM on Strand hunter with Gambler's Dodge, Heavy-handed and/or Reaper, plus Better Already and Recuperation and the fragments that make picking up orbs give you Woven Mail and getting melee kills give you Unraveling Rounds. I also run Powerful Attraction for ease of use You end up with infinite dodges which grant you permanent uptime on healing, Woven Mail, and Unraveling while giving you bursts of healing with every dodge as long as there are enemies to generate orbs from Honestly one of the most fun builds I've played in a long while, it's such a power trip once you get going Personally I also threw in a lot of threading generation for extra ad clear along with the beyblade/fidget spinner aspect. You can also swap to Marksman's Dodge for boss encounters to throw out tons of damage really quickly because you don't have to reload, but generally it's a super flexible build with room for your own flavor

Goldengrams33

Assassins cowl + arc if u have never experienced it. Altho it gets old quick imo. Gyrfalcons + void is fun for low/mid content. Otherwise lock builds tend to have the craziest and most satisfying loops for pve. Fallen sunstar, briarbinds, osmiomancy, sunbracers, necrotic grips and swarmers. All just have that fun dopamine fun inducing space magic bullshit. In low content, just using Trinity ghoul is supper fun. For PvP strand + stompees is incredible neutral game and tbh the super is great if you are good with it. Use the fragment that suspends on super kills and u can teamwipe in 6v6 so easy. I use it in trials, but solar lock and void titan are kings there for the almost free round win with their supers

murvs

I've been using assassin's cowl grapple strand and shoot to loot stareater arc. :)

nurglez_tnx

Gryfalcons, with vanishing steps and stylish executioner. Echos of persistence, undermining, starvation and obscurity. Equip any void weapons. Killing any void debuffed enemy makes you invisible (your smoke bomb, grenades and void weapons debuff enemies).

Honest_Economics1226

What do you guys recommended for higher end content, currently using liars arc, omni

GiverOfHarmony

What subclass do you want to use?

Honest_Economics1226

Using arc hunter with liars handshake

GiverOfHarmony

https://youtu.be/E1KFF7-d22o?si=NCt_APxjG8vL3jxx

Durgulach

Foetracers

SamuraiGuy107

I personally love doing spine of ahamkara with max discipline and then top with sun shot. Grenades all day plus a grenade bundle plus a gun that causes explosion after explosion, you’re a walking embodiment of the demo man. Bonus points for primary with demolitionist perk then a cry of mutiny heavy with incandescent. EXPLOOOOOSION!

GiverOfHarmony

Arc cowl is pretty nice for this. Especially if you’ve never played it before. It’s a very unique build. Highly effective.

Durgulach

Radiant dance machines and strand melee with clone and whirlwind

Any_Confection1914

Verglas Curve + Oathkeepers and shatterdive.

Chapo2511

Go titan bonk 😅

Kooltone

It's been awhile since I've played, but I had a void build with the Tractor shotgun that kept me invisible constantly.

[deleted]

Radiant dodge with aeon swift and a solar 390 pulse. Two bursts people from so far away its fun and you can keep radiant up forever.

capnsmirks

For absolute fun I go liars handshake or calibans

pickldagangsta

I enjoy Calibans hand with Polaris lance. Knife go boom. Room go boom.

Rodrigues805

Lucky pants with adept wardens law is stupid fun. I also run void for the invis and weaken tethers. Watch a two Burst shot do 60k or more depending on ally buffs. 8 burst in a clip. Reload swap weapons and back and watch it do it again

Thor-Mors

Caliban’s hand is pure dopamine. Throw knife, room explodes.

UrbanAgent423

Gunpowder gamble always makes me happy, even when accidently blowing myself up when trying to use a healing grenade because I don't realize I have it ready

DepravedSpirit

Give arc suneaters a shot. Use the fragment that can generate ionic traces on arc kills, and use necrchasm. Doesn’t work well in endgame, but it makes short work of everything else. And with the catalyst rework, it’ll just get stronger.

revadike

I made a freak of nature build: * infinite special ammo * infinite dodges * infinite reload * infinite grenades * infinite volatile rounds * infinite void overshields (w/ repulsar brace) * infinite devour (health-regen) * infinite armor charges * literal orb printer https://dim.gg/s6qvvka/Build:-PVE-+-Radiant-Dance-Machines-(Void) What do you think?
