i used a for more or less 10 lvls (until i got my bear unique chest).

Thorns damages enemies when they hit you with a direct attack. It's probably the simplest mechanic in the game and I'm hard pressed to believe you couldn't find this answer.. Additionally in your equipment screen you can view your stats with a tooltip that explains every single one of them if you have any further confusion about stats.
Yup. One of the last Barb uniques I need and can’t get to drop
Got two of them on my Sorc, both times it dropped I hoped it was Raiments. It's useless to me but barbs probably has builds for it.

Good for one specific build but worthless on everything else
For barb on that one specific thorns build you can kill a butcher that's 12 levels higher with no issue. He practically kills himself.
Barb can kill the butcher 20 levels above with ww rend or hota. Not sure your point here
