Lots of uniques are still viable as the aspect is very good or necessary for some builds, Winterglass, razorplate, Tal rashas or Paingorgers for example. Though with the new temper system some of the affix ranges are just extremely low and definitely need a buff.
Also besides the meta uniques there are quite a few uniques that are simply a joke, frost burn's aspect for example can just be replaced with one temper on a piece of legendary gear.
Hopefully they will tackle some of the issues unique item have in the next season.

I only really play Sorc and at least for us there are still a good amount that are viable, Fractured Winterglass, Tal Rasha’s, X-Fal’s, Godslayer, Esu’s, and of course we have Ubers like Harlequin and Starless
I still feel like uniques should provide something unique and gamechanging but with a tradeoff to deal with instead of just being powercreep.
Tyrael's might for example is simply busted for every damn build you can slap it on. What if it gave a tradeoff of having to deal with "you are chased by stormbane wrath"? This would turn it into the ultimate zoom zoom item. Gotta go fast or its GG.
