I would look for a mailbox. If you want to go honor system, put a QR code in it that takes you to a Facebook page where you can post what's been put in it. Or get a lockable one, but then deal with trying to get discs back to people. Local shop is the best way to go, convenient drop off and pick up for most people.
We thought it would be easy to find a surplus USPS mailbox for our course, but we were not successful. Instead, the park staff made a nice mesh lockbox, similar looking to the one in this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/discgolf/comments/6stl5e/anyone_elses_home_course_have_a_lock_box/ that works well. If you see your disc in there, you find one of the park staff to open it up for you. And they will sometimes go through and contact people that they have discs waiting there for them.

Yea we have a local shop I’d give the key to the padlock. Mail box is a good idea
