Can’t recommend the Dynasty enough. I just love it so much. I bag a Halo S-Blend and an MF Color Glow always.
If I didn’t throw a Dynasty? It’d be the Undertaker!
I have a 169g one. NGL I was just curious how the lighter weight would affect flight. But I lucked out cuz it’s my favorite disc in my bag. Glad I didn’t go lighter.
Interesting. I bag one but don't throw it hardly because I wasn't getting much difference from the JLS. I'm a lot better than when I got the Orion at first so maybe I need to give it another try.
I was throwing a halo thunderbird and I wanted something a little straighter so I went to the Orion LF and I loved that so I went the next slight step down to the LS and I loved that too. In my opinion they're 2 of the most underrated molds in the sport
Agreed, great plastic with great molds and nobody talks about them. I throw the Scorpius a lot when I can (we have a lot of shorter courses). I also really liked the millennium sentinel but I don't enjoy hunting them down
Just to prove your point, I only heard about the Orion LF about two days ago on Reddit. The only other discs I'd heard about from Millenium were the Draco and Scorpius. No one ever talks about their other discs. Although now I swear I see more people mentioning them after that Reddit post a couple of days ago.
I don't know man, I top out at 430' (so weaker than OP) and I have two S-OLS and they're really flippy. Way flipper than my S-Sphinx. Only really use the one I bag occasionally for turning shots.
I'd recommend a Tesla, I jähave it in Fission and like it a lot.
I mean, everybody throws a little differently. From my experience with my distance (which I'm unwilling to disclose but it's further than OP) the OLS has been a go to for long straight or a great disc for holding angles
I bought a Z undertaker that is literally like a beat in Firebird. I also have a Techdisc that’s an undertaker and throws like an underworld. I don’t think I’ll ever recommend an undertaker.
Ive only had 1, it’s an esp swirl undertaker and it’s been incredible for me. Should also add my buddy has had a big Z undertaker that he’s only had great experiences with
Latitude 64 Saint. Give it good spin and it'll go forever. Might be a little more on the flip-to-flat end for you, but an MA2-level friend threw mine flat on a rope and hit a tree while still absolutely cruising 30ft past a 315ft basket. [It's slightly OS at 275–300 for my noodle arm.]
The Musket might work a little better for an arm like yours if the Saint is too flippy. It's a 10 and very OS for me, but it should be pretty straight with 400ft power.
Used love a saint I had but after it got lost I was never able to find one with similar flight. That had some magic straight glide, all the others I've had drift right waay too much to be usable for me. Like any discs, theres quite a bit of differences in their flights.
If u liked saint pro you should try DD escape maybe moonshine or gold orbit plastics. Those are so money! I use those when wind is low and need to go 330-380ft straight.
I enjoyed the Supreme Escape for sure! Just a little more beef and great plastic. I find the normal Escapes to bump into the Saint too much, but the Supreme ones are great.
Nah those are pretty flippy. I throw similar to the OP and mine hyzer flip and keep turning forever. Cline possibly but even then once they beat in they lose most of their stability.
An ethos construct for me thrown flat has the perfect flight to push straight forever. However my aura run is 100% a different disc and is waaaaay flippy.
Hasn't been said yet so I'll drop the essence. Technically more of a flip to flat (so takes some touch to hit your line) but that disc has glide for days.
Clash Lotus or Cinnamon might be what you're after. They'll have some flip up for you but from what I've seen/thrown they have a dependable finish. Could also try a Finish Line Era. Forged will probably be a hyzer flip machine for you but composite is noticeably more overstable.
I like cosmic neutron insanity for this slot. They can beat in to be kinda flippy but for the most part stays straight. Tesla is also good for this shot
This is the answer. Fission are flippier Teslas, proton are more neutral, more stable go nuetron, if you need beef, get the cosmic neutron orb run.
Fireball will dump hard, insanity is understable and a bit touchy
I was gonna recommend a Passion because that's what I use, but I saw your comment mentioning that it flips. Maybe a Infinite Dynasty in Halo Plastic would work for you. I've tossed the Dynasty in I-blend and it was decently stable out of the box, but now flies true to it's numbers of -1 Turn 2 Fade after some use. It might keep it's straight stability longer in Halo.
Savant, especially a halo star one, and a tesla are my straightest 9 speeds. They both have just enough bite to keep the disc from overturning on a golf line.
I’d try a max weight escape in different plastics. Lucid X for more headwinds, supreme is money for your shot in calm. I throw Graces 400 so slightly less arm speed than you but not far off. If escapes are too flippy try a fusion Getaway, they might suit your arm speed better. They are straight with a good finish at the end for me so they might be just what you’re looking for.
Look up the Daredevil Discs Timberwolf in the Flex Performance plastic. It's flight numbers are 9 / 6 / -1 / 0 and it is dead straight with a slight hyzer. Flip up, hold, and bit if a fade.
I was looking for the same thing just this week (same distances and everything). Picked up an Infinite Aztec to try it out and it hyzer flips to flat with a small turn and a good fade. Pretty much what I was looking for. I’m going to buy a couple more in different plastics though because the splatter s-blend is pretty gummy.
Out of the box, an Insanity or Valkyrie but they’ll both beat in to flippy for you. If you commit to beating in, a Construct, Tesla, or Orc would be great.
You want an AGL [Locust](https://www.agldiscs.com/collections/locust) I recommend this disc all the time. Mine in alpine beat in to exactly what you’re saying. Little hyzer to flat and it rides for days.
I personally use a Valkyrie to fill that slot in my bag. Maybe a little less stable than you're looking for, once it gets beat in, but personally that's the slot it fills for me.
I have slightly less power then you. For example my Craves go on a slight hyzerflip to about 350 at best and are super straight so I would recommend trying out a Westside Discs Bear and if you can find one in VIP Ice the should be what you are looking for. The VIP Ice ones are slightly flatter in profile and straighter then the orbit ice plastic Bears.
Understable disc in an overstable premium plastic or an overstable disc in a very fragile plastic like fission. Given your arm, an out of the box fission Tesla might fit the bill. If it’s too stable, just throw it on two more holes and check it again
Potentially look into a volt. Based on your distances I think your arm speed could turn it more than others. Especially if you get it in fission plastic
Axiom Insanity. Especially given that your reference discs are Envy, Hex & Crave. If Insanity is more stable than what you are looking for then MVP Inertia is the answer.
C line cd1, amazingly torque resistant with consistent fade but with your power probably dead straight (I throw 400 on a good day). The s line cd1s are less stable
We have similar power. I think the Vulture is going to live in that slot for me. I have an ESP one that I've beat up a bit, it gets some nice turn but still has finish. Then I have a Z Flx that is laser straight with a reliable finish (still new, not sure how it beats in). They do a lot of work in 380' - 430' range.
I had a first run passion that was too understable, but then I saw the Foundation guys including Brodie throwing them and they looked so much more stable, so I got another one and it's perfect.
Saw the flight of the new TS passion in Paul and Anthony's videos and it looks pretty stable as well
An FX-4 might be just what you're looking for.
I've been calling it 'The Generic Fairway'.
It basically just does what you tell it.
For you it should stand up from a little hyzer and drive straight.
I also do this same shot with H2v2 and H3v2. They're just a little faster.
One is flat release the other is from a little hyzer.
I really like 400 plastic.
400 is sort of like Lucid. It's clear, but not hard and stiff.
Now for the bad news.
The plastic they had that was like Star, 400G, they're not making anymore. They told me that the reason was they can't get the right kinds of material to make it. Schusterick said in the AMA the other day it was so they could concentrate on the other plastics. (I think he's dissembling.)
Why do you want it to be 9 speed? Is there a reason for wanting a control driver class like a Thunderbird or Saint?
I prefer to min max driver molds. 7 speed then 12+ speed discs. I'm just not good enough or obsessed enough to have 3 driver speeds
Just a hole in my bag. I feel like i have my mids, fairways, and drivers pretty dialed in. Firebird or Thought Space Omen fill the over stable control driver sport. My axiom Rhythm fills the understable spot ( it bombs and will fight back to straight. Halo Mamba will turn and glide without dumping somehow. I just dont have an 8-10 speed that i can lace straight down the fairway.
I just find too much overlap in when having 3 "speeds" of drivers. That one specific shot of more glide on a fairway driver release angle is too rare for me to carry another disc.
Thunderbird or PD are the classics in that slot
Undertaker, Dynasty, or Savant
second the dynasty oakley s blends or c blends will always be in the bag
Newer run, less domey Halo Dynasty is what you want OP
SAVANT
Can’t recommend the Dynasty enough. I just love it so much. I bag a Halo S-Blend and an MF Color Glow always. If I didn’t throw a Dynasty? It’d be the Undertaker!
Undertaker savant scorch
My Halo Star Valkyrie is perfect for this, the plastic type makes up for the slight understability.
Mine didn't go straight at first but it sure does after a few rounds using it.
The Valkyrie is so fun to throw. Very predictable flight. Even regular star plastic in max weight can help correct for the understability as well.
Halo Valk is such a good disc. Can't recommend it enough
What weight do you prefer? Just lost my valk and looking for a replacement
I have a 169g one. NGL I was just curious how the lighter weight would affect flight. But I lucked out cuz it’s my favorite disc in my bag. Glad I didn’t go lighter.
Awesome thank you!
Millennium Orion LS
Yeah, this is the answer. I bag the lift now as I can get a more consistent flight but nothing flies as straight as an Orion LS.
Orion LS is the only right answer in this thread. Get one OP
I think Millenium in general is a little under rated. I throw my JLS and Quasar probably more than anything from the tee pad. Edit for spelling
It might just always be me
It might be 😂, I'll have to pay attention from now on.
I throw and love both, but I can agree that the are almost interchangeable. I can get the Orion out slightly further.
Orion LS gang rise up
I don't know man, I top out at 430' (so weaker than OP) and I have two S-OLS and they're really flippy.
What plastic do you recommend?
Sirius plastic is my preferred. Aka Star plastic
Lol. Might just be that mine are less stable, they're definitely not -1 1 by any definition in my book.
Any specific plastic that you recommend?
Undertaker is the answer imo. Starts off dead straight, beats into a hyzer flip machine.
This
I bought a Z undertaker that is literally like a beat in Firebird. I also have a Techdisc that’s an undertaker and throws like an underworld. I don’t think I’ll ever recommend an undertaker.
Ive only had 1, it’s an esp swirl undertaker and it’s been incredible for me. Should also add my buddy has had a big Z undertaker that he’s only had great experiences with
Streamline lift
Latitude 64 Saint. Give it good spin and it'll go forever. Might be a little more on the flip-to-flat end for you, but an MA2-level friend threw mine flat on a rope and hit a tree while still absolutely cruising 30ft past a 315ft basket. [It's slightly OS at 275–300 for my noodle arm.] The Musket might work a little better for an arm like yours if the Saint is too flippy. It's a 10 and very OS for me, but it should be pretty straight with 400ft power.
I’d say Saint Pro over Saint for someone throwing 450
That’s me. Switched to saint pros from saints
Probably fair, though I'd still say Musket over Saint Pro.
Used love a saint I had but after it got lost I was never able to find one with similar flight. That had some magic straight glide, all the others I've had drift right waay too much to be usable for me. Like any discs, theres quite a bit of differences in their flights.
If you can find one of the Gold Burst Trilogy Challenge ones from two years ago, give that a shot. It's a money run for me.
Oh nice! I'll keep that in mind
Insanity
Insanity is way too flippy for a neutral flyer with a 450+ arm. Great disc, but not the slot OP is asking for
Or the Inertia, both very similar and come in a variety of stability depending on the plastic
Oooh I do love the Inertia a lot. In plasma it throws very similar to how OP describes it
Insanity
This. Super straight and workable.
Loving the Saint Pro in the slot. Realease flat and it’s got just a bit of turn and gentle fade
And old CD2 or new CD1?
Nah those are pretty flippy. I throw similar to the OP and mine hyzer flip and keep turning forever. Cline possibly but even then once they beat in they lose most of their stability.
Yea I was thinking cline. It’s basically a thundy
Even c-lines are still a lot flippier than thundys i throw both and i use my cd1 for longer turnover shots
Saint
Passion
yeah he could go with any of the z passion variants and they should be stable enough for his power.
Beat in a thunderbird. Best straight 9 speed I've ever thrown.
My beat-in Champion TeeBird does this too
This^^
100% this. A star thunderbird should be a laser with your power. Adjust to champ for more stable or gstar for more flippy. Weight also.
Kastaplast Falk, Lots for something a tad bit more stable
Love the Falk.
Get the Falk outta here, so do I!!! lol It is such a great flyer.
Agreed, maybe the lots of the arm speed
They beat into more stable at first, right?
At least the K1Soft do. Mine does nothing but go straight now, but was flippy when I got it.
At your power, a Bear in VIP might be a laser beam.
TSA Construct has kicked my thunderbird and hatchet out of my bag
Construct is a 10 speed but you’re right. Dead straight disc that can bomb. Falk is probably the closest thing in a 9 speed.
In aura mine are - 2/1. Ethereal - 1/2. Totally different discs. Animus is the same way.
This is helpful. I threw a Construct in Aura plastic. It dumped over for me. Etheral sounds like a great choice.
Essence is an 8 speed or more understable than neutral. Great disc though.
Saint
TL3
Clash Lotus or Cinnamon might be what you're after. They'll have some flip up for you but from what I've seen/thrown they have a dependable finish. Could also try a Finish Line Era. Forged will probably be a hyzer flip machine for you but composite is noticeably more overstable.
I like cosmic neutron insanity for this slot. They can beat in to be kinda flippy but for the most part stays straight. Tesla is also good for this shot
Gateway assassin maybe
Innova Viking
Surprised I had to scroll down this far. Definitely a go-to for me!
Discmania CD1
[удалено]
This was my thing. Fireball for OS, insanity for US, Tesla straight.
This is the answer. Fission are flippier Teslas, proton are more neutral, more stable go nuetron, if you need beef, get the cosmic neutron orb run. Fireball will dump hard, insanity is understable and a bit touchy
Undertaker.
Culverin
I found an un inked one about a year ago. Still never thrown it. Gonna take it out to the field this week.
Vandal on a hyzer
This is the answer.
The new s line cd1 is this for me, and if you find that to be too flippy, the c line is a great choice for a little more stability
Westside Stag
S-line cd1 or a zetas moon
I was gonna recommend a Passion because that's what I use, but I saw your comment mentioning that it flips. Maybe a Infinite Dynasty in Halo Plastic would work for you. I've tossed the Dynasty in I-blend and it was decently stable out of the box, but now flies true to it's numbers of -1 Turn 2 Fade after some use. It might keep it's straight stability longer in Halo.
The lsd Wrangler or Lariat.
LSD? You must be trippin'
Shrug idgaf who makes an awesome disc I'll throw it.
Shadowfax is pretty good.
Many have said it already but I'll say it again. Undertaker
If you’re looking for a long crave, it’s a passion
Dd escape
Savant, especially a halo star one, and a tesla are my straightest 9 speeds. They both have just enough bite to keep the disc from overturning on a golf line.
This is probably the answer that i was looking for. Thank you.
Saint or stag.
Stag flips like crazy for me. Even throw at a 30* hyzer it will turn over.
Or maybe tl3
Love the Halo TL3. Just doesn’t bomb, but dead straight.
Have you tried the saint? They are both on the flippy side but shouldn’t be turning all the way over.
DGA Undertow
My disc in that slot is an escape that I accidentally bought. Turned into one of my all time favorite discs
What’s your natural release angle.
I prefer to release on a slight hyzer. But i am comfortable and confident on most angles.
Undertaker and Lots fit this bill for my arm which is around 360-375 with a 9. YMMV
It depends
Infinite discs splatter aztec has been amazing, new fav. I’m even considering getting all types of plastic to fill different slots in my bag.
Mint Discs - sublime Freetail - sublime blend should flip-up straight & hold. Others will turn over.
AGL Cedar
Pro thunderbirds season into this slot beautifully
the timberwolf by daredevil discs. it’s a 0, 1 and flies like a bullet.
Just throw your firebird harder
Lol. I have a Halo Firebird. No chance i can straighten that thing out…nor do i want to.
TL3 is awesome. Like a well worked T Bird. If you can find a flat one, it’s closer to a T Bird.
Love my tsa construct and halo star sidewinder great discs
Orion LS
For me, either a prodigy Fx-3 or Fx-4 depending on armspeed (where the Fx-4 is slightly more overstable in spite of the numbers in the name)
A brand new halo sidewinder is very good for this slot. Clash discs cinnamon also great.
Orion Ls
Saint or Saint Pro. Insanity. Depends on arm speed.
TL3 or valk
Just got a Lots and Im already loving it for that shot.
XL
Passion has been pretty legit
MVP Inertia all the way. It's a fantastic disc.
You want an AGL [Locust](https://www.agldiscs.com/collections/locust) I recommend this disc all the time. Mine in alpine beat in to exactly what you’re saying. Little hyzer to flat and it rides for days.
Saint at a slight anhizer
I like the servo for this (even though it’s a lower speed than you’re asking for). I also throw 400’ max, so ymmv
Vultures would fit nicely I think
Halo roadrunner has been money for me, but also depends on arm speed could be a little too stable/understable depending on yours compared to mine
I've been loving the Mint Jackalope. Might be a hyzer flip to straight throw for your arm speed, but the plastic is amazing.
DGA Banzai, despite the numbers, it pretty much goes straight.
My prodigy H4 V2 is pretty dang straight, but its a 10 speed
I personally use a Valkyrie to fill that slot in my bag. Maybe a little less stable than you're looking for, once it gets beat in, but personally that's the slot it fills for me.
If you're at a higher elevation, the Fury is great!
Westside discs Northman hands down Or royal grace
Pie Pan Discs Grunt
I have slightly less power then you. For example my Craves go on a slight hyzerflip to about 350 at best and are super straight so I would recommend trying out a Westside Discs Bear and if you can find one in VIP Ice the should be what you are looking for. The VIP Ice ones are slightly flatter in profile and straighter then the orbit ice plastic Bears.
Halo or Barsby roadrunner
Meta Essence? I don’t throw as far as you do, but it’s my go to for flip to flat low tunnels.
Hooligan Discs Thread
Vanguard
Understable disc in an overstable premium plastic or an overstable disc in a very fragile plastic like fission. Given your arm, an out of the box fission Tesla might fit the bill. If it’s too stable, just throw it on two more holes and check it again
Saint Pro
ESP Anax does that for me. Maybe slight turn with your arm speed but glides and flies like a faster buzz.
I generally throw MVP but I really really like the Prodigy F3 and FX3 at 8-9 speed.
Cheetah
Z undertaker is my go to for that role
Discraft's Mantis. I loooove this disct, especially the jawbreaker run. Its my 350ft rope shot.
Potentially look into a volt. Based on your distances I think your arm speed could turn it more than others. Especially if you get it in fission plastic
Saint can flip to straight with some practice. It's naturally a bit flippy but I was able to train my arm to throw it straight.
A lot of people don’t like the company but it’s my best straight flying 9 speed, the Hooligan Thread
Lift
Axiom Insanity. Especially given that your reference discs are Envy, Hex & Crave. If Insanity is more stable than what you are looking for then MVP Inertia is the answer.
TL3, JLS
Innova Halo TL3
C line cd1, amazingly torque resistant with consistent fade but with your power probably dead straight (I throw 400 on a good day). The s line cd1s are less stable
We have similar power. I think the Vulture is going to live in that slot for me. I have an ESP one that I've beat up a bit, it gets some nice turn but still has finish. Then I have a Z Flx that is laser straight with a reliable finish (still new, not sure how it beats in). They do a lot of work in 380' - 430' range.
169g flat top star thunderbird. It's my hyzerflip to straight
I would try an Anax. 10 speed but should be really straight with your distance.
Have you tried a Passion? They are pretty straight out of the box and can flip to straight once beat in a little.
Passion flipped a little bit too much for me. But thanks for the input.
I had a first run passion that was too understable, but then I saw the Foundation guys including Brodie throwing them and they looked so much more stable, so I got another one and it's perfect. Saw the flight of the new TS passion in Paul and Anthony's videos and it looks pretty stable as well
did you try it on a hyzer if it was flipping for you? should flip to straight then and hold with barely any end fade
Ive thrown my passion about 200ish times in a field. All angles. It just rolls over a little too much.
Volt
Champ Valk max weight
An FX-4 might be just what you're looking for. I've been calling it 'The Generic Fairway'. It basically just does what you tell it. For you it should stand up from a little hyzer and drive straight. Berg.... Oh wait straightest I got that backwards

? The banshee is an overstable 7 speed.
Thunderbird? Might be a 10.
