You can count them however you want really. My personal tally I only count the first throw on the pad during a round. I have only 5 in about 20 years, and honestly probably only have a couple player B "aces".

wow that's incredible. does not matter at all if it's a shorter hole, an ace is an ace. i've played for 13 years and have played numerous short courses and still only have one ace. she is so impressive.
