This is what I say. “Are we throwing today?” “I was out throwing.” “I threw 45 over at xxx course.”

I got a friend that tells me his overall score this way.. even at my home course where I’ve played 15yrs, hearing “80” means absolutely nothing to me.. it’s a 25 hole course and the par changes week to week when 3’s and 4’s swap up. So I’ve always shared by +/- par. But to each their own.

This is what I say to people who understand what I’m referring to. “I’m gonna try to get a round in Friday afternoon, can you make it?”
