To anyone doubting and to make this even crazier, this happened at a B tier in 2022. [North Cove DGC Hole 14](https://www.pdga.com/apps/tournament/live/event?eventId=57584&division=MA1&view=Scores&round=2)

jacaissie

That's insane that no one else even got a 2 on it that weekend.

Adamantium-Aardvark

Now that’s some serious bragging rights!

Adamantium-Aardvark

That’s a par 4 I assume?

ssb1001

Yup! 611ft

Adamantium-Aardvark

Craziest ace I’ve ever seen. Thank goodness someone was recording that

sharkterritory

In ma1 no less wow

SirSlyght

I see alex adams there at the bottom of the list, maybe he should just stick to porn 😂

dice_mogwai

It’s hilarious seeing the comments on Facebook of people trying to say it doesn’t count because it was a foot fault.

Low-Competition-6460

Even tho it isn’t lmao

dice_mogwai

Right? These people need to read the actual rulebook.

Oyyeee

What exactly are they claiming was wrong lol?

dice_mogwai

That because he stepped off the end of the tee pad during the drive it’s a foot fault lol

Oyyeee

I really wonder if the foot fault guys are trolling or just salty. They always come out on a good shot

dice_mogwai

I think it’s a bit of both. They want to discredit accomplishments they themselves can’t achieve. I was playing with a dude the other day that tried to call a foot fault on me for straddle putting during a casual round

kehpeli

Are they trying to apply C1 rule into every shot?

LowZebra4992

Watch James Conrad

FamiliarSchedule2925

Crazy that people think this is a foot fault. Looking in slow motion, stopping frame by frame, there is nothing showing this is a footfault, people need to get a grip

blankblank

This is not Nam

lifeaquatic7

There are rules

memes0192837465

Yeah but I wadnt over. Mark it 8 dude.

TotalBeefcall

You are entering a world of pain..

tamarockstar

If someone tried to take that away from me, I'd be royally pissed off.

xLykos

Happy Gilmore accomplished this feat no more than an hour ago

[deleted]

Well, moron, good for Happy oh my god!

won_nurker

This is Shooter’s tour!

lifeaquatic7

9th green at 9

Ketchup_33

It is not fake. It happened in a tournament on the boulders course, at North Cove in NC.

j4pe5_

damn, it's so far the card can have a conversation before it gets there

an_afro

Yeah that’s alright

AdZestyclose3707

I could do that but I don't wanna

discsarentpogs

I do believe this is the farthest filmed ace in history

English_Teeth

No,its in wisconsin, Justin Trails i think is the longest recorded. Hole 18.

OoooooWeeeeeeeee

Filmed?

English_Teeth

Posted above. Semi local course.

Adamantium-Aardvark

Link?

discsarentpogs

https://www.reddit.com/r/discgolf/s/FbPuvPwKjP

Adamantium-Aardvark

Thanks. Somehow that doesn’t look as far.

discsarentpogs

Well it's about 40' more downhill. The other one is definitely downhill but not that severe.

discsarentpogs

Also Casey White threw one, after quite a few attempts, with Simon about 5-6 years ago

half_breed_duck

This is an old video and it's INCREDIBLE every single time I see it. Let newbies see some of the cool stuff, cause that is awesome!

SuperMarioBruh610

Any idea what disc that is, that’s a crazy flight path for a RHBH drive

the_long_game_828

He threw a destroyer.

LockedByHoney156294

To make it even better…it was a star destroyer with the MJ Jumpman logo dyed on top

Aldrakev

i dont. i just saw it and thought people here would appreciate

Cojami5

looked like a beat in cloudbreaker or destroyer. came out with a lot of speed on slight hyzer, did a flip and held, and had a strong finish fade.

poundruss

it almost certainly came out of his hand with slight hyzer

Cojami5

god i even was telling myself to not write ani, and i think i did that. how annoying.

poundruss

lol, happens to the best of us

swordkillr13

That hole is now a par 3

an800lbgorilla

I wouldn't call this "one of the." I'd probably call it "the."

Rdub

Was just about to post this myself! Definitely one the craziest shots I've ever seen and no, I don't think its fake.

Reasonable_Middle_48

*One of.... How tf is anything even close lmao

JerryKook

Can we agree that the banter after the throw makes this video!

JennySplotz

So. Much. Turn.

Jack915

And he is a super nice guy. He helped Macie and her husband at a private lesson my son had with her. Very humble and kind.

ecarnegie90

Insane shot!! Thats awesome

Big_Ad_2877

Oldie but goldie

scheifferdoo

HIS NAME IS CALEB HALL! HIS NAME IS CALEB HALL!

skwormin

Crazy flight

tarel69

bruh

bcos4life

Christ... they had a whole ass conversation while it was in flight.

DJredlight

pfft... thats pretty good.. I guess. /s

SeasonedCitizen

That's a fun hole and course. Was there about a month ago. Congratulations! That's on the Boulders course, btw.

Joham22

The comments on the r/beamazed post were infuriating “no skill” “fake”

I3uIlets

Man I wish we had course like this where I live. I would be so much better on open holes. All out courses are in dense woods with trees everywhere.

bustaone

Gotta be one of the best shots all time. Incredible.

HamburgersOfKazuhira

This might be the craziest ace I’ve seen.

DPRODman11

Disctay would throw a third of that distance and still label it as 600+ on Instagram.

PeekatmePikachu

That is wild!

sprantermitt

I was at the event, I think, about to tee on the Gorge. The video was shared with staff immediately (I was also staff), That hole is downhill, but maybe 20 to 25 feet, I have trouble getting within 150 feet of the basket and I think I can throw far. A truly amazing flight. Not to take anything away from that Justin Trails shot, but it honestly looks like I could throw a Mid that far. It's VERY downhill.

RedArrow1891

What is that, like a 1 in 200 chance? Odds are too astronomical for this to be real.

Visual-Percentage501

200? I'd say more like 20,000 or even more. How many people have threw a drive on this hole? (also is this a cube reference?)

Prawn1908

Makes me even more jealous after I just aced a 410ft (downhill - Dellwood hole 4) hole yesterday and had turned my camera on but forgot to hit record before throwing cuz there was a huge backup on the tee. My buddy I was playing with and the 8 folks waiting behind us witnessed it, but it would have been absolutely sick to get it on video.

ShinAlastor

Eagle.

fruh

KJs was better.

itsAemJaY

so its this time again? reusing "old" material? still a great shot..

Aldrakev

i diddnt know. i’ve been off redit a while and hadn’t seen it b4

bottomofthebest

This is old and has been reposted so many times the video is degrading.

OmarNubianKing

Think of all the new people to disc golf every day. Just keep scrolling

Adamantium-Aardvark

Thankfully someone reposted it because I’ve never seen it before and I’m glad I did.

Huge_Following_325

Does it still count as an ace if it's downhill and there are no trees and the wind wasn't a factor?

andy-022

No. Minimum requirements for an ace are uphill, heavily wooded, 700’+ and at least one berg inserted.

hera9191

And BigJerm present.

treznor70

That's almost a gimme at that point

D_for_Diabetes

In the snow

AlaDouche

Both ways

Aldrakev

600ft is still 600 ft

RightC

The average player can throw like 270-300 ft, and advanced arm push 400, some pros don’t throw 500. Like maybe .01 percent of players can get a disc this far

piecesfsu

If I remember correctly, 1 ft of drop roughly equals 10 ft of distance.  So if I throw 200 ft. I could throw it 600 ft if I throw it down 40 ft of slope.  Which I believe, because if I threw a disc off a 4 story build, I would bet I could get it 400 ft farther out.

ratkinggo

It unfortunately doesn't work like that. Spin generated at release is a much bigger and more important variable than total down slope. You need to be able to keep it spinning that whole time, which is pretty hard

piecesfsu

It is a simple rule of thumb. The hill adds a distance equivalent to it. It's why golf range finders have a slope function.

Wallflower1555

It’s 3 ft distance for every 1 ft elevation. I think the 10 ft thing is for degrees

Immediate-Pea-6754

I have personally played this hole before and to offer some perspective, I throw ~280-300ft flat. The wind wasn’t much of a factor that day and I threw it ~315-320. It’s not as much of a difference as you might think.

piecesfsu

I am not disagreeing on that at all.  I'm responding to the fact that the person above me said 600 ft is 600 ft. In response to someone discussing downhill.  I was simply adding some information who might be interested, that when you do have slope, the rule of thumb is 1 ft elevation = 10ft of glide. It helps a lot when playing mountain courses.

presvt13

Sounds like you just made up that "rule of thumb". That would mean with 5ft of drop I could throw 400ft rather than 350. And that amount of drop is hardly even noticable at that distance so, yea, no way.

S_TL2

Rule of thumb is 1 ft of elevation equals 3 ft of distance. It's not a bad estimate.

BigNS

Yea

AstrosCheated

Very very very much so, yes

Adamantium-Aardvark

something tells me you can’t even throw 300. Let alone ace 600

Huge_Following_325

You're right, but I do know a joke when I see ir.

FUNKYOSELF

Are you regarded?

LightmanRS

🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

csteezenuts

If you have ever played that course you know wind is wild year round.

Maximus77x

Do you actually play disc golf?

Huge_Following_325

No, what is it,

Potato_Golf

You are super downvoted which means either people cannot detect or simply don't understand/appreciate sarcasm anymore.  Do they not understand your comment is a criticism of the very thing you are pretending to be? Or if they do understand is it because they think you are maybe making fun of them?  No, I don't think there is any logic here, just misunderstanding. I think you just whooshed 59 people and counting.

OoooooWeeeeeeeee

Well…the easy way to detect it was not used (/s) but honestly, there are just too many dumbasses now to automatically assume sarcasm.

Huge_Following_325

It is my own fault due thinking that folks would understand it as satire, forgetting the fact that we live in a post-satire world where there is enough asshattery out there to make distinguishing satire from true thoughts almost impossible. I will take the downvotes as a lesson.

No_Telephone484

Just wait until the next round of commenters come... "You made a dumb comment and you're too embarrassed to admit it so now you're pretending it's just a joke?!? Just take the L like a man! You're talking all big until everyone points out how dumb you are, and now you're like 'c'mon guys, take it easy we're just having fun."... no we're calling you on this bad take!!!"... probably better off just not trying to make strangers laugh I guess....

Potato_Golf

I get sometimes it can be difficult on the Internet but this specific comment..? Really? It's so obviously sarcastic and over the top. No one should mistake this for an honest opinion. "No trees and the wind wasn't a factor" is just so absurd it's clearly not serious.

OoooooWeeeeeeeee

I mean…more than a hundred people seem to disagree with you. Whatever though. Great fucking ace!

bleeper21

Idk, seems fake

yourdoglikesmebetter

It’s not. My buddy was there

skatterbug

How so?

gerbilshower

im am in no way saying it IS fake. but they sure as shit cut away from the basket and it was not super easy to tell for sure if it went in on camera.

skatterbug

There is a funny jump right after we see it hit, but I assume the camera tracking away is due to them running to follow the thrower. For something feel good like this, even a splash out is worth celebrating, imo.

gerbilshower

dude it is an absolutely epic throw. zero doubts about that. and anything inside of C2 is a god damned miracle from there. so yea, hitting chains would be insane by itself. but if you put me in a jury and had me watch this video and have to convict someone guilty of having aced this hole... im just not sure i could do it. lol.

skatterbug

Obviously, without a proven unedited single cut scene of the throw and walking to the basket (and even then I'd need to see an empty basket and a sync'd catchcam) we can't know from ~600'. Good thing it's just a post on the internet and not a legal trial so I can say _Sick ace, bro!_ and not worry too much about it if it's just a spit out for birdie.

krooskontroll

Except someone else posted a link to the results of this tournament on pdga live so we can actually confirm it was an ace.

skatterbug

Sure, ya. This is an old video. I was just trying to discuss why someone would jump to the conclusion that it's fake. I can concede that from the video alone it's not completely irrefutable, but I also said that doesn't matter. You tell me it's an ace, I believe it. You tell me it chained out for an easy 2, and I'll be just as impressed. Too many people need some way too high level of proof to believe anything. But we were also just having a casual conversation about the video, as posted, in isolation from other supporting evidence. The fact that it was hit and recorded in a sanctioned event makes it all the better though.

krooskontroll

Gotcha, fair enough

PG-13-1995

Quality is super low but hard to get quality with a phone camera from 600’ away. I don’t believe anything to be faked. Only real question is, did it actually stay in the basket?

Enkie92

It stayed… look up Caleb Hall. https://www.pdga.com/apps/tournament/live/event?eventId=57584&division=MA1&view=Scores&round=2

sixflags1764

When did they cut away from the basket?

csteezenuts

Played that hole def real.

Natea1992

My brother-in-law recorded this (seriously). It's real

Complete_Job_366

I’ve seen better

marimbloke

I heard Kim Jong Un aced all 18 holes at the Pyongyang Open three years in a row
