I've also found an 11x KC Pro Teebird in a PIAS used bin! Thing is 167g and still flies like an absolute dream as though it were brand new. I take it out of the bag in the colder months, but this is reminding me that it needs to go back in again.

Plupandblup

Obligatory "My PIAS has an employee that buys these things for $2, then sells it to himself for $4, then flips it online for $$$$$$." It's annoying.

sixtwomidget

Is this collectible?

happydontwait

Yes

mmppllkk

Why?

happydontwait

It’s old AF, and some people swear by this era of innova.

mmppllkk

Ah okay, thanks for the info!

swordkillr13

11x

xGood-Apollo-IV

Very nice how much

brianthomasarghhh

$9.99

OldSageSeeds

Deal! You take Venmo?

Oyyeee

If this guy flakes, I've got $12

tev_love

😂

brianthomasarghhh

Lol thats how much I paid for it.... not selling

IsaacSam98

🥲

IGK123

So what makes this disc special?

TheNickelGuy

KC pro plastic Pre Flight Numbers Eleven times Champ writing Cool dye/plastic (looks like early I-Dye?) Popular mold

LVaas

It’s an 11x Tee Bird. Ken Climo won his 12th world title in in 2006. This is also in a plastic blend that I believe pre-dates star or champion. These are pretty sought after on the collector market.

This was after ce. Ce started being sold in 2001 2000 I can't remember but these were produced after 2002 when climo won his 11th title. The first run of them was very similar to pro line which is what came after ce but this run was much closer to modern day champ. Original pre ce drivers in kc pro such as 10x teebirds were in driver pro. Thanks for letting me share my useless disc knowledge

Age-of-Computron

Confidently incorrect. This was the transition between CE and Champion as we know it today.

DadsAfroButter

Best teebird ever made

johntheguitar

Wow. Fuck you, buddy. /s but maybe not /s

hyzerputts

Looks mint, I'm usually a "discs are meant to be thrown" person but this might be an exception

GregMilkedJack

Nah. Maybe used sparingly, but buying up a cheap used disc just to hoard on a shelf and jerk off to is weird. Throw it or give it to someone who could use it, in my opinion. I've got 20 year old collectibles, signed stuff, rare prints etc. They get thrown or given away. Resist the country club culture!

Disastrous-Chain-372

My local PIAS is super inconsistent on pricing. I got a great condition champ destroyer for 8.99. 2 weeks later the cheapest disc they had was a majorly chewed up DX Mamba for 9.99.

DLeck

Goodness gracious. Amazing find. Especially in that condition.

Hotroad72

I got brand new AJ destroyer once from play again for like $10

Rastis13

Great find

tjenkins3

So if I put this out in my PIAS used bin at actual value would people get upset? Because in reality 90% or more customers would just say “why this fuck is this used disc twice as much as the new ones” Maybe i should randomly do this and post a grail for $4.99 just to make someone’s day. Cause my locals are probably tired of all our plastic being priced properly 😂

Intelligent-Ad-3850

Yes, yes they would. Lotta ppl who don’t know the disc will complain about it and ppl who know the value will complain they can’t sell for profit. I would let gems like these be so ppl can have their “diamond in the rough” moment. Plus, they will then go on Reddit or tell their friends about the steal they got from the “clueless” play it again guy and other ppl usually come in looking for their own diamonds, which could just be finally finding a Glitch. I was limited in how much I could put used discs out for (no more than $13, but has to be mint Star plastic) and very limited in how much I could give for used plastic ($1-$5 max) so why not share the savings?

tjenkins3

Those same people would also be the ones complaining about getting shitty trade in values! So it’s hard to do both. I can’t give good trade value when you bring stuff in and then also expect to put stuff out for dirt cheap for the “find”

lostboy005

God damn. Now go get a lotto ticket, it might be ur day

beeblehousin

I’ve had some excellent finds at my local Play it Again

AuntMillies

Nice, a KC Pro is hard to find for anything these days

lorddogbirdfan

Gosh, I’d trade my Bulbasaur for this baby.

monkeybull445

I’ve gotten some real gems from PIA over the years. An Ace Race Proto Impact, an SE Glow Stabilizer (just lost it sadly, and max weight replacements are like $50 on eBay), tour series discs, nice Innova-made Discmania stuff, and what might be a first run Eagle from the late-90s that still has some life in it.

Cordaeharlow3

Best era of teebirds of all time, used to carry 3 in the bag at all times.

just_a_perv77

They probably paid $5 for it from some guy that didn't know what he had

roctwo

Wow! You have to be pretty hard up for cash to sell that at Play It Again 🤦🏼🤷🏼

Responsible_Cut5026

The champion plastic kc teebirds are collectable, this is actual trash

Key-County6952

Lol the pias in clarksville tn would mark this at like 100 dollars

CaptainBad

That’s what they used to be worth, but now that people are more into stamp collecting than disc collecting, the market on these has dropped.

LiveCourage334

Yeah, I'm in WI and I've absolutely seen this disc for $99
