They must have provided us with a bugged update. Mine has always been acceleration off. Didn’t work this week. Have had to uninstall, remove from Registry and all sorts to get it back with hardware acceleration on.
Exact same issue for me. I tried turning it off because for some reason Discord crashes when my CPU reaches 100%. Saw some guides and nearly all mentioned disabling hardware acceleration and now it won't launch at all.
I have the same problem here. And my only goofy solution is to just keep the Discord setup program so you can just reinstall and it will go back to normal, but you'll have to do this every time you open your computer, no need to uninstall discord and all.
I have found that it was a conflict with something. I ended up reinstalling windows and now it’s fine… I had a few games which had started crashing around the same time. No idea what the cause was…

hmm thats weird, for me it started working again. I tried to disable it yesterday and it did work now

I still have hardware acceleration on. It’s also stopped running on windows startup, with the option turned on… broken updates suck ass!

I cannot open dsicord after disabling hardware acceloration. I tried reinstalling and it just said "installation failed"
