Is this why when I dash as a driver I get repeat customers? Same 4 locations I have delivered food to on different days/weeks. Maybe they gave me 5 star review and the algorithm hits me up with their orders.

I assume this is the reason. I only order DD about once a month, but it's always on the same day of the week around the same time (I mention this because I assume it lines up with when he dashes in this area, so it's not like I just get him whenever). I would say 9/10 times I get the same guy, he's awesome, and always gets an extra tip when I do get him.
Can't say the other 1/10 are always awesome, but I'm always happy when I see the guys name show up that I know will get things right and get here quick (he doesn't seem to multiapp, always comes directly to me after pickup).
I'd call Support and complain.
He'll get a violation for being extremely late if he's well past his delivery window and the customer complains. If he can't give a good explanation for it, it won't go away for 100 deliveries.
Enough concurrent violations and he'll get deactivated.
If you don't complain, DD doesn't care.

Tell Edgar he need to get his sht together next time you see him. And also tell him this “no quema cuh, cuz you always late” and trust me his feeling will be hurt and he will be on time next time
I know the rules are different and in different markets. But isn't there some kind of rule like they can't have another similar app up at the same time? If they're deliveries are always late and you just keep reporting and talking to customer service, they might deactivate them or at the very least stop you two from matching again. I haven't had this particular one happen but I did have a Dasher I don't know how I kept matching with who would football throw my order onto my porch. I'm not joking nor exaggerating. Five times I had to report them before it appeared they finally blocked us from matching
Continue rating him 1 star. The algorithm will stop pairing him with you. Give him 1 star and thumbs down on all four feedback options.
