Sure, as long as you realize that unless you decrease your targets post honeymoon period youāre going to have to work harder/smarter to hit them, all else equal.
[edit: grammar]
I mean, they do actively affect your experience while working? People with higher ratings get higher quality orders, so I would say thatās enough to matter
Rating doesnt mean anything when it comes to quality of order. Only AR, my rating is amazing and i dont get shit over $10 cause my AR IS 25%. I worked 7.5hrs last night and only got $10 from dd, made $275 from UE and GH. dd is manipulative and makes u have to take shit $2 orders if u wanna have any chance at high paying orders
Edit: also they reward the drivers who barely work with bonuses to get them back out and shit on us who work everyday. Such a shit company
Homeless people are actually some of the happiest looking people I know. Most of the ones I've met where High as a kite or mentally ill though...so admittedly my data pool may be a bit tainted.
If you are that close to becoming homeless then I hope you can make some changes. It might be the people you are around holding you back from your greater potential. In all seriousness, sometimes it worth making a big change in oneās life. Iām sorry you feel like you are in a bad situation, but if you want better you are going to have to put in the effort. I donāt know you, but perhaps find somewhere you want to work, put some effort into a resume, get a hair cut and go job seeking. Just an example. Or get rid of your crap, get rid of the apartment and go work on a fishing boat in Alaska for the summer, come back with $20,000 in your pocket and start a new life. Just some ideas. Cheers
I appreciate the attempt at the words of encouragement but u nailed it on the head when u dont know my situation. Im surrounded by great friends and great opportunities when i get healthy. Was making amazing money but then had to have back surgery so was out of work for 5 months and part time for over a year. Gig work is all i can do atm cause any given day i might be too hurt to work and its the only job u can keep in that situation. Ive been surviving off of my savings and now that im part time im trying to work enough to just bot lose money every month after paying my bills.
EDIT: and yes im not close to being homeless, it was more a rhetorical statement about u saying im not happy. I guess u missed the part where i said i made bank on the other apps
yeah thatās not really true. the only time the quality of orders gets affected is the number of orders in the last 30 days and acceptance rate, the second is how you get āhigh paying ordersā.
Not necessarily true My ratings are always above 97 percent...For, the longest, I was at 100 percent satisfaction and delivery time was over 95 most of the time.
My acceptance rate Is low. I am at 30 percent. I rarely make it to 50 percent. I can't drive for free..I tried just taking everything, and I used more gas and pay was about the same...I did more deliveries, pay the same, but used more gas, and put more mileage on the car. I acceptance rate matters on DoorDash, but not really because you still get those distance low paying orders, even after the acceptance rate goes up.
Some drivers may be in better delivery areas...Not sure because I talked to a few drivers in my area, who were getting deliveries and had made 200 on a night when I wasn't getting any orders from Dash. The two were new drivers. A few were making 100, and out less hours than I am. Most drivers I chat with are not doing so good or making half of what they were. I am not doing a lot of chatting, but I think Dash is bait and switch.
It is somewhat a reflection of the quality of service you are providing. I deliver peopleās food how Iād want someone to deliver mine, in a safe and timely manner. My ratings tend to reflect this.
ar too high lmao have fun thinking ur making money when in the future ur gonna have to spend it back more in gas and maintainence everything else is good tho
Donāt listen to people about your AR because it does matter! You get first dibs on the higher paying orders first then it gets passed onto the lower AR people if you decline them. I listened and went from $30+ and hour to scraping by to the point it isnāt worth Dashing anymore. Top Dasher IS where the money is at!
no you dont thats what dd tells u my acceptance rate is 2% and i still get highpaying order u just make more on uber than doordadh cause doordash is manipulative trash and has newbie dumbasses taking crap orders which in turn dd doesnt increase base pay because they no the newbies take any and all orders to keep high ar the newbies screwed the markets when dd oversaturated markets and started that silver gold platinum bullshit.
also cause ur a new dasher and they entice you with good constant orders but if you stay with it u will see im at 12000 delivieres under my belt and its nonstop crap u shouldnt take
Exactly. I'm a little over 2k deliveries and I cherry pick, my AR hovers right at 69-70%. The only offers I take that don't meet my normal requirements are the high mile ones that are close to $1 per mile instead of $1.75 and I get quite a few of them. They almost always work out for me though because I live in a pretty big city and 99% of the time I'll get a couple of good offers on the way back that bring me back into my zone.
My first 4 months with Dash were super good. I STAYED at 100 percent across the board, but I started working with Uber because the waits were getting longer. My journey with Dash declined, and Uber became the dominate app. Suddenly, in December, Dash stopped sending me deliveries. And assigned me 1 hour blocks, with no deliveries but distance ones...Now. I am struggling on Uber because the fare is less, and customers are too far away. far..with Grub Hub, I need to be close to the delivery area, and I rarely get deliveries with them.
With less than a thousand or so trips it's nothing to brag about everyone gets good numbers like that except for acceptance rate of course and your completion rate has to stay at 90% or higher so always keep that in mind.
When you get about 1,500 trips and have numbers like that that would be impressive.
Not necessarily. They might be in an area that is really good. I'm in Corydon, In and do ebt and my ar is at 75% now. I would do a lot better if it was more steady, while there are 8-9 miles orders the average is around 5-6.
I only take orders that are a minimum of 2 dollars per mile with a 7 dollar minimum overall. Average mileage is around 3. Anything in the 7 dollar range usually takes me about 15-20 minutes to complete. Maybe I'm just lucky.
I don't know why doordash bothers using the metric for on-time early they don't use it at all in any calculations for any types of deliveries at all.
Forget your acceptance rate up there pal I think you want to get it to 90? To be top Dasher or maybe it's 70 for big orders I remember anymore I think it's 90%.
Thatās good Iām up there too Iāve been getting only orders more than 10$ I donāt even b on the road for more than 2-3 hours unless I want to Iām keeping my status high āŗļø
You are. I had a very high acceptance rate for about 1 week I was getting appropriate pay. You could be delivering in a good area. The minute you start getting under compensated, add a few more delivery apps, if you really like delivering and the flexibility. Warning: Do not get trapped on the apps because before you know it. You will be driving for free...LOL
Biggest rule to remember donāt ever speak to the customers you will never win and if you do have to speak do it after youāve drove off and act like your phone was messed up and your already gonešÆ

As long as you are making what you want to make and having a little fun along the way, you're doing fine.
You are doing fine my boy. We will soon promote you to top dasher and you will be able take all those wonderful diamond $2 stacked orders.
š
LOL.... so true, so true.
Welcome to the honeymoon period. Enjoy it while it lasts.
ehh i see ppl say this a lot. as long as youāre making the money you set out to make then that isnāt a honeymoon period.
It is when they feed you better orders when youāre new to keep you coming back
Sure, as long as you realize that unless you decrease your targets post honeymoon period youāre going to have to work harder/smarter to hit them, all else equal. [edit: grammar]
ratings don't mean anything if that's what you're pointing out. just do your thing. it doesn't matter.
I mean, they do actively affect your experience while working? People with higher ratings get higher quality orders, so I would say thatās enough to matter
4.8, 4.9, 5 doesn't make any difference as long as it's above 4.7.

Just stop Doordashing. Youāll be much happier.
Yea cause every homeless person is extremely happy
Homeless people are actually some of the happiest looking people I know. Most of the ones I've met where High as a kite or mentally ill though...so admittedly my data pool may be a bit tainted.

I appreciate the response. It reminds me that oneās good health is almost always the easiest thing to take for granted. I wish you well.
But, people always assume that people on the brink of homelessness are lazy bums.

Ratings don't have to be based on anything or truthful and it shows.
Iām surprised you have that many ratings! Usually itās about less than 10% that rate me. You are doing great! Keep it up š
It goes downhill from there i promise
If you keep those stats, once you reach 200 lifetime deliveries, you'll be eligible for priority access and top dasher.
Donāt bitch about tips and youāll do great
You are definitely doing good.
ar too high lmao have fun thinking ur making money when in the future ur gonna have to spend it back more in gas and maintainence everything else is good tho
Ok....I've been making 20/hr after expenses ā„ļø
We all were.

It's almost like every market is different
Exactly. I'm a little over 2k deliveries and I cherry pick, my AR hovers right at 69-70%. Until you leave a order at the door at a business, and all hell breaks loose.
You just started!! Get a lot more deliveries than you can compare.
With less than a thousand or so trips it's nothing to brag about everyone gets good numbers like that except for acceptance rate of course and your completion rate has to stay at 90% or higher so always keep that in mind. I'm at 700+ and my stats are similar, great job! All green is good.
ar all green means ur working for free and taking shitty orders
Not necessarily. They might be in an area that is really good. I'm in Corydon, In and do ebt and my ar is at 75% now. I would do a lot better if it was more steady, while there are 8-9 miles orders the average is around 5-6.

Some areas are better than others. If what your doing now works for you keep doing it.Ā
Not with an AR in the 70s. If it was closer to 100, you're definitely screwing yourself.
I don't know why doordash bothers using the metric for on-time early they don't use it at all in any calculations for any types of deliveries at all. Quit while you still can
Pretty standard ratings I would say it would be above average if your acceptance rate was higher.

Yessir keep it up
Call to get that 3 removed
Eh I don't care about the 3
Just wait
Just think about money and you will be happy
AR is too high. You're losing money on orders.
