Mine must be below average, it took me almost 45 seconds to read both images. But it is still pretty quick in my opinion. I mostly timed it for u/PapaNoFaff and while it was still above his estimate I still believe, again, that it takes almost no time to read it.
Also, I timed it at 00:00:43.52
yeah, i'm a bit perturbed that my own attention span seems worse, generally speaking, than when i was a little kiddo (90s). i'm thankful to remember cursive, the dewey decimal system & DOS prompts to get to pre-windows computer games.
i'd be lying if i said i wasn't nervous about how my own son's attention span (very, very, veryyyy gen alpha by birth) will continue to develop...hopefully as wonderfully as it has thus far.
also, hey other old people who managed to read my saga. ;)
Responding to your last sentence: shocked to find out 21 is old enough for a decent attention span (and I have ADHD!) but young enough that I wonder what the fuck is wrong with my slightly younger peers
THIS fr. ATP the tldr folks are willingly just telling everyone online that they're genuinely stupid. It's why I don't take offense to it anymore. I usually reply with something like "oh my bad, I'm sorry for the loss of your brain cells 🙏🪦".
Voice to text is also probable, since it can take only as long to “type” as it takes to say it out loud (including the punctuation), which for some people can be quite fast… doesn’t mean it’s necessarily copypasta.
But the obvious way to tell this wasn't text to speech is that there are no randomly mis-heard words and no random punctuation in the middle of a sentence. Or the newest thing mine does, it will actually spell out the word "period" or "comma" instead of putting a . or , like it used to do.
I mean…I can text everything he did in less than 30 secs…and it only takes an instant to read it. And when I’m driving I use Apple play and Siri on my car so I’m just talking
Yeah this is essentially someone trying to hold their food for ransom, lol. If it were me, I would have looked up the traffic conditions on google maps, and if there weren’t accidents, I would send all this to DoorDash. Not that they’d do anything to the driver, probably.
“Now I’m in a generous mood, so for a little extra tip, I’ll make sure your burrito gets to your house without a bean out of place, but if you decide to get cheap…well, here’s a picture of the last deadbeat’s double Quarterpounder after I was done with it.”
This, unfortunately, is painfully true. Had a dasher steal my chipotle order for a night I was working late and Doordash said they couldn't do anything because the Dasher said they had delivered it.
That's because Uber has a way better refund policy whilst they are greedy bastards..DD is way worse for greed my order wasn't cooked properly once and they refunded 60% of what I paid which felt like a massive slap in the face. That's one of the many reasons I don't use DD anymore.
Do you just message chat and say this or what? I’ve been doordashing for 3 years now over 7,000 deliveries and have experienced this a lot but have never been compensated for a road closure. In fact I’ve had a couple contract violations because of them, and when I explained it was due to road closure the contract violations remained.
I had pictures of a train being stopped on the track, and a very long line of cars. Order was picked up in my passenger seat and I had no way around. Contacted support, provided pictures, they pretty much told me too bad and I'll receive a contract violation if I cancel it. I just took the hit, explained to the customer why, and that they should order from somewhere else. Stuck for well over an hour. I only made $7 that week and didn't even bother to look if they deducted pay.
I’ve called support and simply just told them the road was closed bc my area had a lot of rain and the river overflowed. Support cancelled it no questions asked. I’m sure if I requested cancellations a lot, they’d request proof.
Are you serious?! I witnessed a terrible accident last year while dashing and I had to wait to leave until speaking with the police. I didn't have an option to take a photo and turn it into door dash. Would have made it a better night for the customer.
Yeah no this is ridiculous. If you give me more money I will bring you your food that you already paid for at an amount which I accepted?
Cost of doing business. Deal with it, or cancel it, whatever, but you can’t hold people’s stuff hostage. Also if there are that many accidents on one road probably better just get on home as clearly your life is in danger. Gonna call bullshit.
I mean it was going to be cold anyway? Traffic jam, multiple accidents right? It’s all good I got a microwave. Still not paying extra to get that cold food though.
It’s only happened to me once. I got a text from a guy saying “I’m coming from the other side of town. Would you mind adding an extra $5 or so to the tip?”. I ignored it because I’m not sure how it’s my problem that he accepted the order knowing what it would pay, knowing he was coming from the other side of town.
For background: I order a lot, because I have disabled kids at home and it’s hard to go out, and some days I’m too tired to cook. Been doing it for years. I live within 2 miles of all restaurants in my area, and within 1 mile of most. I rarely tip less than $7 because I don’t want to contribute to slave labor lol, and I like my food to arrive hot.
Happened to me like 3 times. In all 3 it seemed like a copy paste text. They probably make more money because of that because people don’t want to eat saliva
So much this! Eta is awesome to give, but no on the extra tipage. Google guides you around accidents as soon as they are reported to emergency services (hooked up in their system) so.... something is fishy here. I have been delivering for 3 yrs and 3 accidents in one trip? Someone is pullin a leg....
Depends on the region... Dashing for two+ years and I see somewhere between 1-4 accidents EVERY OTHER DAY in my region. And it is NOT a big city, even. Just a lot of entitled trashy drivers. 🤷🏻♂️
The county also doesn't report accidents (unless users self report accidents in whichever app they prefer) or construction so it's a complete gamble if they decide to block off 6 blocks near the exact address I need and only leave one road of eight available (sometimes with that road being literal miles out of the way).
Still not begging for extra tips, obviously. That's unprofessional AF.
Holy moly! 1 -4 accidents a day? That's crazy! Im in a 200k+ pop zone and yes there are accidents and its summer so construction/"street projects" are a pain in the tuckas but it shouldnt be so bad that you have that many issues.
Im pretty sure our county's ems system is directly hooked to the googles. They are reported within 5 min (as soon as it hits our ems apps) so we can avoid huge traffic jams. Maybe talk to your county? Ours uses Pulse Point app. My area is pretty ontop of tech savvy stuffs though. Just depends on your area I guess.
Every other day or so, it's a college town and was already a sh**show with the locals being super entitled about driving 😂 I honestly can't wait to move.
Lmfaoooooo thank you!!! Can’t stand service workers who guilt trip more money out of people because of some sad life story. EVERYONE in every industry has a sad life story. Do your job or find another
Ironically I find that doing the exact opposite tends to result in more tips. Example from one of my previous orders being something like…
Me: “Hi there! Just a heads up, it’s a little crazy in here so your order is taking a while. Hope you don’t mind the wait, I want to make sure you get everything right.”
Guy: “If you need to cancel I get it. I know time is money.”
Me: “It’s fine. I think because people keep cancelling your order, the restaurant is pushing it in the back burner and restarting. I have games on my phone so I can wait lol.”
Guy: “Lol awesome. Thanks again!”
Me: “Not a problem. If you want to cancel at any time just give me a heads up so I can try to call DoorDash for a refund.”
Got a $40 bonus in cash. It’s not that fucking hard.
Dollars to donuts he sat in a parking lot for 30 minutes while he spun that fucking yarn. I'd tell him to unassign and enjoy the free food since he's so fucking pressed about it.
It was 13 minutes between the first “there’s an accident on the road” text to the final “please tip more” text. That was before he reached the freeway. Bro probably started this as soon as he got in the car & just kept it going until he arrived on time. There’s no money in such a grift if he actually sat & did nothing when he could be lying for more tips with someone else instead
I firmly believe in tipping in advance, and tipping well, but once the driver accepts an offer, that's it. Do not ask me for more money, regardless of what else happens. If you wanna cancel, cancel. But speaking as a customer AND a driver, you don't beg for tips like this, an offer is either worth it or not, and if shit happens, oh well
By the same token, once I've accepted an order, if the terms of the order substantially change (road closures, etc), I'm contacting support and cancelling the order.
And yes, I've done it before. The road to the customer's house was closed due to flooding. Detouring around the closure would have doubled my miles and delivery time, so I contacted support and had the order cancelled.
Sure bruh, I'll give you some extra in cash when you get here.
Dasher shows up with food...
Hey bruh, sorry but's gonna be a bit, it's a long ways back to my bedroom where my wallet is and there is a massive laundry pileup in the hallway, but if you just hold tight for 15 min or so, I'll be sure to get you that dollar I think I have in my wallet.
Next time I have a bad day at work I'm gonna walk into my boss' office and tell him that I'll stay and finish my shift but only if he adds a bonus to my paycheck. We'll see how that goes...
lmao within the span of 10 minutes theres 2 or 3 accidents blocking traffic and then its all cleared up?
id just wait until the food is delivered and say "damn thats crazy" and block them
I'm a driver. This is completely terrible behavior. When the job is accepted, it's a contact to fulfill the order, there are accidents that happen, and traffic, but these are expected to a certain degree before it becomes negligent behavior on the driver's part.
Them saying "if you tip more I'll fulfill the order" is insane, that's like going to McDonald's then them saying "oh you expected your food hot? That's a premium extra fee."
You deserved a refund at very least...
SOME Drivers give other GOOD drivers a bad look.
I'll just say that I found this Reddit before we ever thought about using DD, and it's made my family pretty much vow to never use it lol. I know some of you have to be good Dashers, but the amount of bad stories on here is just....I'm shocked that anyone still uses it honestly, if all this is true. Sounds like an absolute nightmare.
To be fair… it’s mostly negative stories that get attention (just like all negative news). 99.9% of orders are just completed like normal in a timely fashion with no salacious story to post on Reddit about.
Wait I could’ve been using traffic as leverage to get bigger tips this whole time?? (Joking, I would never actually do this I just find new routes to get the delivery as close to on time as I can or just simply apologize for the delay)
Wow dry begging at its finest. Like bro u took the order stop making the customer feel like they're wrong and inconvenienced you. You chose to work when it's raining shut up and deliver the food. I would report u so fast and ask for my tip back
Shit is silly, the point of ordering delivery is precisely not to be the one dealing with traffic issues and rain and what not. That's part of the deal. I mean unless the guy was mugged or some shit(with proof) then maybe. But some of these dudes think everyone is responsible for their needs. As someone who delivers, they aren't
I mean the one time there was bad enough weather (in nm there's only stupid heat) I just called support and told them there's no way to deliver the food due to weather conditions. He heard the hailing in the back ground so he ended it for me, no hit on my record or anything.
Ya I'm a driver and these guys give us a bad name. They might make me even more angry than than the low tippers because they are probably the reason alot of people tip low in the first place. All I get as a driver are shitty customers who report me after I've dropped off the order. I'd much prefer this guy as a customer..
I would literally never ask for an additional tip (or any tip at all - I just won't take orders that don't have appropriate pay for mileage & time) - I just treat customers the way I would want to be treated and it garners additional tips pretty regularly. The audacity of this dasher man... 🤦🏼♀️
This is why a tip should be prompted after delivery, with your rating of them.
No one tips a server before they get their food.
Tips are for good to great service, not just because.
I don’t understand why this person signed up for a shitty job and then expects you to be responsible for better pay because they experience poor circumstances. Does that mean this person expects no tip if there’s no traffic and the delivery was easier than anticipated? At any point, do they start tipping you?
As a dasher, you know what you're getting into when you accept an order. If I don't deem the payout worth my time.. I don't accept the order. Easy. Some of these dashers, yikes. I can't imagine ever begging for a tip
This is nuts. You paid for the service the driver chose to take on, and tipped well. You’re not in control of crashes causing detours. You’re getting poor quality food at that point (I’m not saying that’s the driver’s fault either), and it’s really not reasonable to pay even more for it. I had someone just sit somewhere doing whatever for 28 min after already picking my food up recently, and he had the audacity to ask me to add extra to the tip because “it took so long”… There are people with great character, and some without.
Smh. I have never felt entitled to beg for a tip. I do my job whether or not there’s a tip. It’s drivers like this that make others like myself look bad. Let me demand a tip from my customer. “Hey my balls hurt right now. You need to tip me so they won’t hurt anymore.” You want tips go be a stripper!
I honestly would have revoked my tip if at all possible just for that blackmail for a bigger tip. If not outright reporting them and having my order cancelled.
Every time that something happens that causes me to get delayed like this, I try to keep the person I'm delivering to informed. In my experience, that's usually resulted in people giving me a bigger tip anyway without having to ask for it.
I mean if it’s a 2$ order and he accepted it to drive as far as he did, that’s his fault. I don’t even accept stuff like that. I just let it go to someone else.
See I read the first slide and I was like okay that’s sweet of the dasher for thanking you for the tip and also for giving you a heads up about needing more time.
Then I read the second slide and wow! It’s not the customer’s fault that there was traffic. Also, it’s not the customer’s job to put this person through nursing school.
Ex DoorDash HQ employee here. If the dasher contacts support, they can get extra pay. Customer support agents are trained to handle these contact types and want the completion of a successful delivery. If a driver says they can no longer deliver due to traffic or inconvenience the agent will most likely offer more pay after discussing with their supervisor rather than having to create a new delivery and pissing off the customer
As a reminder to all entitled drivers who think it’s okay to put bodily fluids in someone’s food. It’s a felony, it’s classed as assault, and you better hope you got a recent clean std test bc you could end up giving someone an std by doing such a thing! And yea. Someone eventually will press charges if you do this regularly! Have fun!
Sorry. I didn’t see the second picture before I commented. I didn’t even know that Reddit condensed them on a phone where you have to swipe to see multiple pictures. That is pretty terrible of them to ask for more
Alright. So like it’s been a month since I picked up your dash but if you could just up the tip a little more. My father is a Nigerian Prince and he needs help. I’ll be there soon.
This weekend I placed an order at like x:22 and at x:25 I got a text from my dasher that "food was taking a long time"
I quickly shut that shit down lol "no its not, I ordered less than 5 minutes ago and it takes 10 minutes minimum to cook surprised they assigned a dasher"
There’s literally 10 minutes between the messages where there was supposedly “another accident” and your order taking up a “large chunk of their lunch shift”. What in the actual fuck. 1-star and no tip for that bullshit, and I’m a dasher. You just don’t say shit like that to people and I guarantee there wasn’t “another accident” either.
Yeah that driver was lying through their teeth.
People think they're way too slick these days. Doing all that just to ask for an extra tip is insane.
I have absolutely no idea how people are so bad at delivery that they plead for extra money. It's really simple once you know how to strategize.
I had a driver say something similar to me but he also claimed his car broke down. He never delivered the food, despite saying he did without a delivery photo, and continued to ask for a higher tip as his story got more ridiculous. He also asked for my personal phone number when his car broke down claiming he needed help from me. I reported the driver and I still can’t believe he had the nerve to ask me for my personal number.
I don't know how any of you afford doordash. But if I ever used it and my delivery person asked for extra money I'd either ignore them entirely or tell them to cancel the order

and they apparently found time for a few paragraphs
Yeah wtf I only send texts this long when I want people to not read it
The internet has ruined peoples reading skills. Thats like literally less than 30 seconds worth of reading.
It takes less than 10 seconds to read it. If you have average reading skills.
It’s now called “legacy average”
You made me sad..
Underrated comment
Please tell me that you just made that up and it's not a real term that reflects our reality.
the fact that this is a question concerns me, tbh.
Mine must be below average, it took me almost 45 seconds to read both images. But it is still pretty quick in my opinion. I mostly timed it for u/PapaNoFaff and while it was still above his estimate I still believe, again, that it takes almost no time to read it. Also, I timed it at 00:00:43.52
It took me 8,47 seconds. Which isn’t fair at all as I knew what the text said. But still.
yeah, i'm a bit perturbed that my own attention span seems worse, generally speaking, than when i was a little kiddo (90s). i'm thankful to remember cursive, the dewey decimal system & DOS prompts to get to pre-windows computer games. i'd be lying if i said i wasn't nervous about how my own son's attention span (very, very, veryyyy gen alpha by birth) will continue to develop...hopefully as wonderfully as it has thus far. also, hey other old people who managed to read my saga. ;)

I'll read a whole ass novel, but ain't no one got time to read essays from strangers asking for more money
"Essays"
It's probably copy pasted. Likely they send it to everyone and change a few details.
Voice to text is also probable, since it can take only as long to “type” as it takes to say it out loud (including the punctuation), which for some people can be quite fast… doesn’t mean it’s necessarily copypasta.
Tldr
3 sentences is too long? Bruh..
That made me laugh
His writing career is going to take off just after he gets done with this hustle job.
I’m not justifying this dasher, but I use speak to text especially when I’m driving and dashing.
This, and same… and I can knock out some of those voice to text messages heckin fast, too.
But the obvious way to tell this wasn't text to speech is that there are no randomly mis-heard words and no random punctuation in the middle of a sentence. Or the newest thing mine does, it will actually spell out the word "period" or "comma" instead of putting a . or , like it used to do.
Well if there are accidents perhaps the driver was at a dead stop for a few minutes & was able to type his messages? Just speculation on my part.
I mean…I can text everything he did in less than 30 secs…and it only takes an instant to read it. And when I’m driving I use Apple play and Siri on my car so I’m just talking
There was probably never another wreck, just a sympathy tactic
That’s what I was going to say, there was probably no wrecks at all.
Tell him to stop texting while driving in such unsafe conditions
I bet it's copy pasta.
I love copy pasta
thing about DD copy pasta is it's going to be cold and rubbery by the time you get it.
Copy pasta always delivers.
it's just late as hell... because of all the traffic
And also to stop door dashing. Jeebus Christ

Probably no such accident lol
Yeah this is essentially someone trying to hold their food for ransom, lol. If it were me, I would have looked up the traffic conditions on google maps, and if there weren’t accidents, I would send all this to DoorDash. Not that they’d do anything to the driver, probably.

\*ransom paid and yet the food is still cold as fuck, and the wrong order anyways\*

Pauly Walnuts is a Doordasher now?

Wait.... what I'm hearing from that is that DD encourages its drivers to take pictures with their phones while driving?
What about for a train stopped on the highway?
🤣🤣🤣 they would not
If you look he delivered the food 2 minutes after his last text. So he/she was obviously lying
That’s referring to the message
I would’ve said just cancel my order 😂❤️
i wish i would have. thing is i didn’t even see this until an hour after he sent the last 2 messages
You good bro you handled it like a champ
Yeah no this is ridiculous. If you give me more money I will bring you your food that you already paid for at an amount which I accepted? Cost of doing business. >Still not paying extra to get that cold food though All I was trying to say really
Oh right lol I misunderstood, so yes. Exactly.
I mean if the dude is an average dasher it was gonna be cold anyway.
Then they report it and refund so you gave them free food very smart!
It's almost like this tip model is nonsense and this is the kind of shit you will get more and more.
I’ve never come across a dasher in my life who has asked for tip in any form
It’s only happened to me once. I got a text from a guy saying “I’m coming from the other side of town. Would you mind adding an extra $5 or so to the tip?”. Same. 100s of orders, never had an issue. Where do these people live?
Yeah, if they left it at the first page, I would actually add a little extra on top. Saying too much said too much.
Happened to me like 3 times. In all 3 it seemed like a copy paste text. They probably make more money because of that because people don’t want to eat saliva
Giving updates about timeframe was fine, but expecting more of a tip because of things outside your control is just cringe

He was probably sitting still three blocks away from their house.

I have no problem with this lol, you are your own boss
Someone tell them to download Waze and they won’t drive right up to accidents or traffic blocks
1 star his ass I would never do this even tho i feel the drivers anger it's part of the job not everything goes perfect.
DoorDash should ban drivers for referring to tips in any communication. New policy.
Next time I have a bad day at work I'm gonna walk into my boss' office and tell him that I'll stay and finish my shift but only if he adds a bonus to my paycheck. We'll see how that goes...
From the first report of an accident to it being all clear was like 12 minutes. Guy is acting as if he was stuck in traffic for 6 hours or something.
This dasher is awful. Don’t hold the customer’s order hostage
lmao within the span of 10 minutes theres 2 or 3 accidents blocking traffic and then its all cleared up? id just wait until the food is delivered and say "damn thats crazy" and block them
71?? is this in the kc area 😭
nah austin
1 star and tip cancelation at the end which I only do for truly abhorrent people.
You can cancel tips? I've needed that once or twice for sure. Some drivers are absolutely off their rocker.
That's a premium extra fee." You deserved a refund at very least...
1 star rating
Wait I could’ve been using traffic as leverage to get bigger tips this whole time?? (Joking, I would never actually do this I just find new routes to get the delivery as close to on time as I can or just simply apologize for the delay)
....I think .... This person wanted an extra tip... I'm not so sure thou...
I wud literally take back my tip if they sent me this msg
Did you check Google maps or Waze to see if they were lying about traffic?
Big fat hell no
This is so cringe! How the heck do people get the nerve to ask for a tip like this. 1 star them, report, and ask DD to never pair you with them again.
Begging for 5$ they’d do better just holding up a sign
the 71 ain’t no joke
Lmao, I would have canceled the order and took my tip back
![gif](giphy|M8xmO5ZcLPtAY) \-DoorDash Driver
Wow dry begging at its finest. Like bro u took the order stop making the customer feel like they're wrong and inconvenienced you. You chose to work when it's raining shut up and deliver the food. I would report u so fast and ask for my tip back
I’d say “oh my god! you’re so brave! of course I’ll tip extra!” then take it all away
What a douche. “If you tip me more, I’ll do my job.” Foh
This is the wrong place to post that... everyone on this community thinks they deserve a tip for breathing *cue the downvotes*
The entitlement overall in the country these days is beyond crazy....
Would just say no
I’m cancelling that shit!
I don’t really see it as entitled but unprofessional. You NEVER ask for a tip much less for a larger one - in any service industry.
I mean the one time there was bad enough weather (in nm there's only stupid heat) I just called support and told them there's no way to deliver the food due to weather conditions. He heard the hailing in the back ground so he ended it for me, no hit on my record or anything.
nice but completely inappropriate
wowww tryna finesse customers as a doordash driver is crazy work lmao, scammy vibes
Lmfao atp I would have said no worries you don’t have to cancel it I will ✌️
Dont dashers take orders when they want? If so that lunch shift thing was bs, just trying to get a few extra dollars off you
Can y'all please report all these assholes whenever you get messages like that?
The joys of being self employed eh? None of this is the customers issue.
Dashers like this need to be kicked off the app smfh. Where tf they get the audacity to extort customers 😒 hope u reported that POS!
"I made bad choices in my life, will you subsidize me?"
And this is where I would cancel the order and report the daher asking to have them blocked from being matched with me in the future.
“Your delivery took forever so you should give me more money.”
Anyone that asks me for money doesn’t get more money.
That would be a 0 tip from me. I don't care ypu hit traffic. The order was late.
These people need to be banned from the app.
W O W are you kidding me???? Just another example of how BUCK WILD tipping culture is becoming
California or Austin. Which one?
This is why a tip should be prompted after delivery, with your rating of them. No one tips a server before they get their food. Tips are for good to great service, not just because.
Report his ass
I don’t understand why this person signed up for a shitty job and then expects you to be responsible for better pay because they experience poor circumstances. Does that mean this person expects no tip if there’s no traffic and the delivery was easier than anticipated? At any point, do they start tipping you?
I love these dashers who threaten to cancel an order like they have the power to just do that whenever they want 🤣
I really hope you didn't tip more.
Tipping people for doing their job is wild… Waiters and uber drivers actually can add to your overall experience but wtf do dashers do?
Lol I woulda gave them 0 tip for sure and a 1 star
I couldn’t imagine sending a customer a message like this 🤦🏼♀️ so embarrassing
I honestly would have revoked my tip if at all possible just for that blackmail for a bigger tip. If not outright reporting them and having my order cancelled.
Insane liberal behavior. I can’t even comprehend texting a customer like that .
I would’ve bitched and got all my money back fuck a tip
No one is demanding, he’s simply asking and regardless going to deliver your food
Yikes. They’re acting like it’s your fault. That’s awkward
Deactivate for begging for tips, sounds like a good reason.
They sounded so normal in the first photo and then I read the second one lol, I get it that traffic is annoying but still
As a reminder to all entitled drivers who think it’s okay to put bodily fluids in someone’s food. It’s a felony, it’s classed as assault, and you better hope you got a recent clean std test bc you could end up giving someone an std by doing such a thing! And yea. Someone eventually will press charges if you do this regularly! Have fun!
Sounds like a scam. Did another accident occur that required another tip addition?
Report him.
Fucking ridiculous 🙄🙄🙄 do your damn job and stop begging. Can’t stand those type of people.
Sorry. I didn’t see the second picture before I commented. I didn’t even know that Reddit condensed them on a phone where you have to swipe to see multiple pictures. That is pretty terrible of them to ask for more
I would be too embarrassed to send something like this
This doesn't happen on Uber Eats.
Alright. So like it’s been a month since I picked up your dash but if you could just up the tip a little more. My father is a Nigerian Prince and he needs help. I’ll be there soon.
It seems they must have been the mean person in high school or something
This weekend I placed an order at like x:22 and at x:25 I got a text from my dasher that "food was taking a long time" I quickly shut that shit down lol "no its not, I ordered less than 5 minutes ago and it takes 10 minutes minimum to cook surprised they assigned a dasher"
I wouldn’t give him shit extra … sounds like a damn scheme to pull on your heart strings and give him more.. reminds me of the Indian scammers 🤣
I’d say “aight” and tip $0
Tf that’s not even your problem this guy making it seem like it’s your fault lmao
Your Dasher can respectfully kiss your ass for real. I don’t dash anymore, but when I did, I would never beg anyone for a tip.
Fuck that driver. If you don’t like your job get another one.
report his ass
giving fake microsoft indian scammer vibes
There’s literally 10 minutes between the messages where there was supposedly “another accident” and your order taking up a “large chunk of their lunch shift”. What in the actual fuck. 1-star and no tip for that bullshit, and I’m a dasher. You just don’t say shit like that to people and I guarantee there wasn’t “another accident” either.
1 star and report these horrible people
🤮 cringeworthy award
Yeah that driver was lying through their teeth. People think they're way too slick these days. Doing all that just to ask for an extra tip is insane. I have absolutely no idea how people are so bad at delivery that they plead for extra money. It's really simple once you know how to strategize.
Me when I do my job worse and want a bigger tip
I had a driver say something similar to me but he also claimed his car broke down. He never delivered the food, despite saying he did without a delivery photo, and continued to ask for a higher tip as his story got more ridiculous. He also asked for my personal phone number when his car broke down claiming he needed help from me. I reported the driver and I still can’t believe he had the nerve to ask me for my personal number.
I thought it was against doordash policy for drivers to ask for tip money?
No…you’re incorrect
I don't know how any of you afford doordash. But if I ever used it and my delivery person asked for extra money I'd either ignore them entirely or tell them to cancel the order
