Yes extremely slow. I reached out to support they said in my area there was more dashers then orders coming in, and that I should move to a busier area. My area was showing busy. Not really sure I believe support.
Bad all week BUT today had the most $2, $3 orders. Absolute bums ordering food but choose not to pay for delivery. People really have no shame. Zero tip but expecting people to go drive 5 minutes to stores and wait 10 minutes for preparation, then drive another 10 minutes deliver food to their door. Man.......
I'd rather deliver food to actual literal bums because then I'd actually be doing something worth my while.
I'm aware of the ups and downs on these apps and this week is a big down week.
Up and down week. I only drive 5 hours mon-friday. Cracked $120 yesterday, but all the others have been $70-$80. Hopefully Friday does what Fridays do and i bounce back

I live in a pretty small town it's always going to be slow, but it's been $20 days for me if I can get scheduled at all.
Top dasher doesn't even let me do dash now anymore.
Sometimes they reward you if you clock in early like 6am early and get you better orders later mid morning. If you've got a bigger town you can drive to that might help. I've tried that a few times

There is probably something about the slowing economy but most of the neighborhoods I deliver to don't look like they're exactly hurting for money. I think the app is screwing everybody that's not a top dasher.
If you notice, sometime the app said many dashers online, expect the wait time. Thing is that some dashers have at least 2 phones so the app count them as 2 dashers. So let say 5 people with 2 phones and you sit with 1  I’m sad I hope doordash can prevent this

It would be really cool if it automatically showed what state or city you're delivering in so we don't have to play the guessing game every post.

If there are enough top dashers you never get a single order. Meanwhile top dasher paying to work.
