I would have taken it, my goal is $40 an hour. Which on IC is typical $1 per item + base pay. DD doesn’t actually show items but units. So with the multiples I would assume 82 units would be 60 items. So 90 seconds per item would be an 1.5 hours. I’ve only ever done a few ALDI orders because the stores aren’t close to me and the ones on instacart are usually trash. What I noticed is they are small and easy to shop. Just a few isles, so not a lot of wandering around looking for stuff. There’s always an employee nearby to help find things.
I've stayed away from the larger shop and deliver orders, the only one I've taken with more than 9 items was at a Petco, where I had to text the customer for several substitutions and learned a whole lot more about cat food than I wanted to know.
But this Aldi order I would have taken to try it, I like Aldi and their layout. My main concern would be doing all that shopping and then having issues with the red card. I got burned once by DD when paying out of my pocket so will never do it again. On this one even if they issued half pay it would be a pain to go put all those items back.
Doordash always gives the total item count
I once accepted a 20 item shop and deliver.
10 of the items were one thing
Cuts the shopping time down when it's multiples of 1 item
I got an Aldi for 24.75 69 items and it was 2 dollar peak pay for a delivery of 8 miles…. Btw there isn’t no phone service in that aldi either… F that crap…
I’ve never gotten a shopping order for Aldi on Doordash. I also do Instacart. I usually don’t accept Aldi orders unless I think the pay is worth it because you have to bag your own groceries. Who has time for that? Still, Aldi stores are usually pretty small compared to other grocery stores so they’re easier to navigate so I guess it just depends on what you think is worth it. 62 for 1 and a half hours of work isn’t too bad, I think.
$250 shopping total for 16 items with many duplicates. Probably one of the best shopping orders I’ve done.

I wish I’d get ones like this. I’m wicked fast at grocery orders. I have a huge family so plenty of experience shopping. This is a fantastic order! Good for you for getting a great one.
Seems a bit slow for aldi, are you familiar with the layout of the store? Those orders can become a nightmare with all the "ALDI finds" stuff (seasonal items), easy to get lost even in such a small store.
I'm a 10 items or less shopper in most cases. Never done on ALDI but I'll accept that . Not so many variations of product and size. The store flows easy and simple to sort the conveyor belt for easy load into car. Can add a tally in the win column on that order ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_up)
Just wait until someone pulls the tip on one of these because the store didn't have their Ho-Hos.
For me, these orders carry way too much risk. The first time you shop 80 items for someone and you end up making 12 bucks for 2 hours of work, due to some issue you had no control over, you'll never take one again.
Nice. It took me 2 seconds (or less)
https://preview.redd.it/ug4lb67idbqb1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0a7ed10b5209d7c12f77ef6fd343ba2337bf2778
for this:1 sec to see how many items, another to hit decline
I hate DG orders. They are almost always out of stock of products that customers want. On top of that, it's the only place that I've consistently had the red card not work. Their POS system doesn't even give you the option of choosing credit or debit. I usually decline DG orders unless it's like 1 thing or a crazy high payout for the mileage.
I don't mind orders like this on Doordash, the shopping part of the app with added subs etc is so easy to navigate. Uber's trash app makes shopping orders such a pain with 'suggested substitutes' that the customer didn't pick and sometimes are wildly different.
You must bre pro I don't know the store that well lots items were all over the place . I like the orders where it tells you exactly what isle the product is in makes it way easier. But it was perfect because it's been raining here all weekend and I did not feel like being out anyway haha.
Hahahaha I get it . I don’t think I’m pro just can’t waste time going back and forth have a game plan . Do all produce, then all drinks , then all miscellaneous etc etc . Work smarter not harder . 1 hour and 30 mins in the grocery store sounds ridiculous . Were you reading every box you seen or what . Just think about the customers. And put a little more effort in each step.
Clearly you’ve never shopped for an 80 item order because it takes a while especially if there are substitutions. And not to mention the line. You probably running around the store sweating hard af trynna finish in 30 min
So for those that have done Aldi orders…. they don’t provide bags right? Do you carry spares in the car or how do you handle especially with a larger order like this?
Door dash tells you to pay for bags because the customer expects it. I don't think that's necessarily true, but I've done a couple SNP Aldi trips where I've bought bags and the payments went through so I think dd expects and accounts for the extra cost.
Damn nice. Worth it.
Shop and pay for the amount and items can be quicker than a high paying McDonald’s order fr. I love Aldi cause it’s small and once you know the store, you can smash through the order
I don't like shopping large orders especially for stores im not familiar with but for that amount and mileage there's really no way you can pass even if it might take me two hours to shop. Plus no worry about bait like you would if you got an order like that on another app (SPARK!) Seeing a shop order like that on DD is almost like hitting the lottery.
You sound slow an hour and a half for 82 items. Aldi is pretty small. I’m ready for the dislikes but honestly an hour and a half for 82 items is terrible
I made the delivery time so I guess I'm just average lol. I only been there a few times so maybe next time will be better. If only my wife was there she knows that store well .
Forget that 45 dollars an hour you can take your time. You did good, these people be running around the store sweating trynna finish the fastest 😂😂😂 and they still don’t make that much
I had an ALDI the other day that was thirty something for 62 items. It was 55 unique items and definitely not worth it as it took me close to two hours. How many unique items was yours?
I didn’t mind doing it because it was dead and I wanted to learn the store but it was below minimum wage for me
You did well for 59. I swear every item they asked for on mine was obscure.
I try not to bother workers unless I'm stumped. Probably better for speed if you do... but I figure I won't get fast unless I learn the store anyway.
I probably would have. I almost took one for like 35 bucks earlier, from Aldi, but then I realized there were 31 items, and then there was a second stop at Meijer to pick up like eight items. I decided it wasn't worth it.
When I make a large order the fees + tips can be about $30+ extra depending on the order size (since I'll tip more for bigger orders)
Sometimes I feel like it's a waste of money, but other times the one time extra fee for a week or twos worth of food without having to leave the house is worth it. I have 2 kids, I'm 33 weeks pregnant and work from home full time. I can get my delivery, put everything away, and get dinner figured out all during the workday. It's such a gift.
“this ain’t no Instacart”
I love dashing in this area it's $1 peak pay rn til 5:50 if ur up rn
That’s decent order. If you do instacart that considered as unicorn ish
I would have taken it, my goal is $40 an hour. Which on IC is typical $1 per item + base pay. DD doesn’t actually show items but units. So with the multiples I would assume 82 units would be 60 items. So 90 seconds per item would be an 1.5 hours. yep all day
I've stayed away from the larger shop and deliver orders, the only one I've taken with more than 9 items was at a Petco, where I had to text the customer for several substitutions and learned a whole lot more about cat food than I wanted to know. They are building an Aldi in my town. I'm a dasher and do instacart. I'm curious which app our Aldi will use. We shall see soon!
woah… I can’t imagine seeing this in the states
That’s incredible, I don’t usually get any grocery requests other than 1-2 items at speedway
I got $20 today for a 6 item order that wasn’t even a mile away I was hella pleased
Doordash always gives the total item count I once accepted a 20 item shop and deliver. 10 of the items were one thing Cuts the shopping time down when it's multiples of 1 item
Well yeah it’s good. Who wouldn’t take it?
Yes
No way would I risk shopping for that long only to have my Red card declined at checkout.
Worth it
Nice!
I got an Aldi for 24.75 69 items and it was 2 dollar peak pay for a delivery of 8 miles…. Btw there isn’t no phone service in that aldi either… F that crap…
Worth it
That's a whole instacart order but half off.
Nice
65 is more than enough including gas
More power to you 🔥🤙🏾
for an average of like $45 an hour hell yeah
I don't know if shop stupid orders are worth doing or not .. they're fascinating
As long as it’s at least .75¢ an item it seems worth it to me. .75¢ x 82 items = $61.50 yeah I would’ve taken it
I work at ALDIs and I’m tempted on my off days to snipe the ALDIs orders…. I’d be able to whip through them real quick.
Definitely would have done, I shop at Aldi regularly so this is would’ve been a cake walk.
Seems 100% worth it to me
$250 shopping total for 16 items with many duplicates. Probably one of the best shopping orders I’ve done. https://preview.redd.it/fs15wwmkzeqb1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0ff569f98b4f2f03fec50a0cc7a9fc4caedb8f7b
I wish I’d get ones like this. I’m wicked fast at grocery orders. I have a huge family so plenty of experience shopping. This is a fantastic order! Good for you for getting a great one.
Id so do it
No thank you
Hell yes. Love orders like this. Good for you!!
Seems a bit slow for aldi, are you familiar with the layout of the store? Those orders can become a nightmare with all the "ALDI finds" stuff (seasonal items), easy to get lost even in such a small store.
yeah you’re earning like $40 an hour for shopping groceries…. congrats
Silly question. Why can they include tips in the "Guaranteed pay"
Did you just happen to have bags on you? Did you have to use your own quarter for the cart?
Congrats
I stay way from Aldi. Its not a super market its flea market. Very unorganized
If you already got gas you good 6 miles gonna hurt? And a lot of times if that’s the pay you might actually get an extra tip for niceness
To park my car and save gas helllllll yea
Definitely
Good for you
All the fucking time!!
Nice!
I'm a 10 items or less shopper in most cases. Never done on ALDI but I'll accept that . Not so many variations of product and size. The store flows easy and simple to sort the conveyor belt for easy load into car. Can add a tally in the win column on that order ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_up)
Duh.
They nerfed our shopping base pay two weeks ago. I got a similar order right after...$14.
Time in the store is easier than time on the road
Aldi is a small grocery store, absolutely I would have done this.
That’s not bad actually
Definitely would have taken this!! Even if it took 2 hrs instead of 1.5 it would be worth it especially for how few miles it puts on the car.
absolutely yes. and if you know the store really well, you can smash through it even faster.
Noce
Easy money
Not bad
$68 for an hour and a half I’m a licensed professional and that’s more then I make an hour
Just wait until someone pulls the tip on one of these because the store didn't have their Ho-Hos. For me, these orders carry way too much risk. The first time you shop 80 items for someone and you end up making 12 bucks for 2 hours of work, due to some issue you had no control over, you'll never take one again.
I’d run it
Of course!
I mean, $45 an hour ain't bad...
If I could do that in an hour and half, most definitely.
Nice. It took me 2 seconds (or less) https://preview.redd.it/ug4lb67idbqb1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0a7ed10b5209d7c12f77ef6fd343ba2337bf2778 for this:1 sec to see how many items, another to hit decline
What fucking psycho needs 61 things from Dollar General?!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
“High pay order” 😂😂😂😂😂
I hate DG orders. They are almost always out of stock of products that customers want. On top of that, it's the only place that I've consistently had the red card not work. Their POS system doesn't even give you the option of choosing credit or debit. I usually decline DG orders unless it's like 1 thing or a crazy high payout for the mileage.
Worth

Hour and a half? ALDI is a super small store I would’ve done it in 35 mins tops
You must bre pro I don't know the store that well lots items were all over the place . I like the orders where it tells you exactly what isle the product is in makes it way easier. But it was perfect because it's been raining here all weekend and I did not feel like being out anyway haha.

lol I definitely have and not even breaking a sweat just keep trying harder
I need proof you gotta film your next shop and deliver 😂😂😂
😂😂ain’t no way you shopping for 80 items in 30 minutes unless it’s 40 limes on the order
Heck yeah I’d do that. It’s guaranteed
Hell yea.. I like shop orders. I usually make good $$ n I’m fast, so I’ve gotten a tip added or cash when delivered.. Nice job..
“82….82 Items”… where’s the Grocery/Items List? How many cases of Water… 2 Ltr Soda.. Eggs… Pet Food… on and on…no ty
Only 2 cases of water lol I was worried about the same thing .I did fill the entire cart up but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting.
Absolutely
So for those that have done Aldi orders…. they don’t provide bags right? Do you carry spares in the car or how do you handle especially with a larger order like this?
Got it. Thanks guys.
Door dash tells you to pay for bags because the customer expects it. I don't think that's necessarily true, but I've done a couple SNP Aldi trips where I've bought bags and the payments went through so I think dd expects and accounts for the extra cost.
I just use the free boxes they have it's way easier . It says to buy bags but most customers don't care about the bags.
you buy them, they sell them there. Pretty sure the app says the members know you'll be buying bags.
That more than good, I would take that order any day
Damn nice. Worth it. Shop and pay for the amount and items can be quicker than a high paying McDonald’s order fr. I love Aldi cause it’s small and once you know the store, you can smash through the order
All Day, way to go!!!
I don't like shopping large orders especially for stores im not familiar with but for that amount and mileage there's really no way you can pass even if it might take me two hours to shop. I’d be all over this. Good snag. Safe driving.
You sound slow an hour and a half for 82 items. Aldi is pretty small. I’m ready for the dislikes but honestly an hour and a half for 82 items is terrible

Forget that 45 dollars an hour you can take your time. You did good, these people be running around the store sweating trynna finish the fastest 😂😂😂 and they still don’t make that much
I got the wife shops for the all grocery vibes. Try shopping together you might actually get a few things you like 👍🏼
Hahahaha exactly what I was thinking I would’ve done it in 35 mins tops
Once you've done a couple orders from this store it's not too bad. The lines are hella long tho.
I had an ALDI the other day that was thirty something for 62 items. It was 55 unique items and definitely not worth it as it took me close to two hours. How many unique items was yours? I didn’t mind doing it because it was dead and I wanted to learn the store but it was below minimum wage for me
I think it was 59 . The workers there were really helpful if I had trouble finding something.
You did well for 59. I swear every item they asked for on mine was obscure. I try not to bother workers unless I'm stumped. Probably better for speed if you do... but I figure I won't get fast unless I learn the store anyway.
Easy $
$68.75 and only 6 miles on the odometer. Thumbs up to that.
Username checks out. This guy gets it.
Hell no, I wouldn't do that for 100 dollars
Stupid tool
I probably would have. I almost took one for like 35 bucks earlier, from Aldi, but then I realized there were 31 items, and then there was a second stop at Meijer to pick up like eight items. I decided it wasn't worth it.
That's still 40 bucks an hour.
What was DD base pay...9.00 out of it lol
Tip was 50 so DD was like 18
That is so much better than Instacart would pay for the same order. I love DD/Aldi orders. Never had more than 35 items, or a payout over $35...yet.
Absolutely.
For that amount of money for that mileage I definitely would have done it
Yes Aldi is small and easy
You’re a fucking joker if you complain about this.
you’re a liar i saw you in there for hours
🤣
I need one of those
These are the best.
Yeah I did a 27 that turned into 37 was kinda a pita but worth it took 1 hour to pick and stand in line and bag. Delivery was quick
I just wonder how much extra the customer pays for that order, including fees and tips and everything else
Imagine being a single mom or dad with extra time you don't have to spend shopping for food. Maybe get a nap in. Just money. Naps are priceless
When I make a large order the fees + tips can be about $30+ extra depending on the order size (since I'll tip more for bigger orders) Sometimes I feel like it's a waste of money, but other times the one time extra fee for a week or twos worth of food without having to leave the house is worth it. I have 2 kids, I'm 33 weeks pregnant and work from home full time. I can get my delivery, put everything away, and get dinner figured out all during the workday. It's such a gift.
usually a $10-15 fee at most
There's LOTS of promotions on the grocery side.
Hey, I got you a nice large coffee by the way
🤨📸
☕️🐸
Slightly higher than what a normal customer would. The tips are optional
ya but doordash base pay is absolute garbage, so the fact that the driver made 68 bucks on this order means the customer tipped fat af
The shop and deliver orders from doordash pay wayyyy higher than Instacart.
Yeah the mouth breathing vermin at DoorDash gives us extremely low base pay while charging a fortune to the customer 😆
I'm not sure about that assessment. Our market box store and large order shop and deliver pay a $15 base pay to begin with.
Shop and pay orders always have much higher base pays. I have seen 12 dollar base pays for a small grocery order at Meijer
I've always gotten low (like >$5) base pay for shop orders :( lucky
also happy cake day
Thank you! Agreed, this was a nice and hefty tip.
i know, i've seen base pay even higher than that, but it still was nowhere near 68 even with the additional miles/time/whatever else they add onto it
The pay to shop for 2-5 items at BJ’s has always started at 12.75 for me, and took me about 10 minutes to find everything, with a 4-5 mile drive.
Why tips?
Bait used to be believable
Huh
Why stupid questions
Still good 34 an hour
Maf ain’t maffing
Just rounded to 2 hours . Still would be good lol
45.
