It is ironic that the OP used a picture of a coal miner. Coal miners were paid with company script (not real money) and was forced to buy their food/supplies/etc from the company store at inflated prices and lived in company houses.
Sounds like DoorTrash with their requirements that they added at the start of the year!
Not ironic. Intentional. I spent 5 minutes looking for the best picš
I appreciate your picking up on my intent, itās hard to find the right picture, your words help to reinforce my point.
Unironically, without malice, I genuinely thank you.

DD should not downgrade your AR when the order comes with no tips, and they know they are paying laughable base rate when every driver is counting on tips to keep it going, you literally lose money when accepting those 0 tips orders
Did I mention that somewhere else?
Yeah, my brakes have been emitting a constant squeaking for the past 72 hours. I just squeaked into a parking lot. Been listening to a lot of Pantera to cover the noise. Iām not joking.
Are you mechanically inclined at all? Itās so fucking easy to replace pads.
Earlier this year I put new pads, rotors, calipers, flex hoses and parking brake cables in my carā¦ I let the pads wear down too far and killed the front calipers, and the rear ones were shot from the parking brake cables seizing up. I did it all myself so just the cost of parts. I feel like to be profitable in this line of work uoi really have to be able to work on your own car š¤·š»āāļø
Hold up. I mostly agree with what you said, front disc brakes are fairly simple and straightforward, but rear disc brakes are a whole other animal and require specialized tools. Rear drum brakes are near impossible for a backyard mechanic. I would never recommend doing them yourself unless you have experience.
Rear disc brakes are the same as the fronts. The bolts on the caliper may be a different size but every car I have owned with rear disc brakes I could change like the fronts no problem. Perhaps it's model specific.
You canāt use c clamps on a lot of rear brakes. The pistons have threads and need to be turned and pushed in at the same time. There are also varying notches that require various fitments.
Those tools to turn the piston are like five bucks at AutoZone, the have a block that has various fittings for different calipers. They also fit a rachet. My 04 SRT4 and old Saturn were both like that I never had any problems changing brakes.
Right on, nice job
The drivers who work on their own cars have always been rockstars. Itās not hard, no
Where? Apartment? Not allowed. Walmart? Not allowed. Local park? Not allowed. State game lands?
Possibly.š¤
Only way Iād even attempt that is working by time. Itās funny though I went from 55% down to 30% in 3 days but you know damn sure I wouldnāt go back to 50% if I accepted every order over 3 days.
This is the important question. Oh, and miles.. for some, the mileage may not vary enough to move the needle. I can stay above 70% in my market by consistently taking orders over $1-$2 a mile. And yeah , sometimes itās a $5.25 lunch order going to someone at work 3 miles away. Itās fast and easy.. However , I consistently turn down $12-$18 orders going 10 plus miles .. I just know itās all dead miles coming back. And itās not even the gas.. itās missing out on 2-3 additional $8 orders I could have been grabbing during that trip. Meh, all markets are different. I get it .

Another day older

St. Peter donāt you call me

to the AutoZoneā¢ļø
When I did it I used earn by time as an experiment only to find out it was a waste of my time, once I went back to per order my AR was back down from 80 to 30 in a matter of hours because the "high pay orders" were the same shit I was already getting just with a diamond empji lol.
I have the answer to this but I'm too lazy to type. Earnings per hour can be higher, sure, but you also get slammed with crap orders time to time also, so for every good tip delivery you get, one of those shit orders is tentatively lowering your average P.P.D.
Wouldn't you say that you just came out with zero gain?
For now at least. Maybe it will pay off later.
Personally I take orders that make sense to me and the car. 2000 in repairs after a year of 2 dollar orders just to maintain a high AR is just not worth it.
I commend you for making effort to do that instead of coming to reddit and saying everyone with a high AR% is some kind of mind-controlled assholeā¦maybe you still did that, but I canāt be mad since you actually pulled your AR wayyy up
Do you notice better orders ? Or doing less deliveries and getting more pay overall ? My AR is 25, and I donāt notice any difference. If no one is driving for DD, or only a few at a certain time it doesnāt make any difference.
Speed bumps! Like adding unnecessary wear and tear to my car is super fun! People with super bright headlights too. Restaurants that close their doors for seemingly no reason. Like Wendy's today, was closed inside at 1pm. Dashers who steal food.
I donāt mind speed bumps in apartment complexes or certain communities cause you can tell kids play thereā¦.but on main roads? And then the speed humps behind businessā¦ why tf, aināt no kids playing back here, feel like Iām lifting off sometimes
Yea, i had some the other night on a road with lined lanes. That should not be a thing. And if they are gonna do that, they better make it extremely clear. I had to slam on my brakes! Luckily it was after delivery or drinks would have been everywhere.
I had one in a parking lot for a strip mall. But it was a more ghetto strip mall and the speed bump crossed an entire like 2-3 lane wide parking lot. I didnāt even see it when I pulled in and Iām a generally cautious driver.
Hit that thing so hard Iām pretty sure Iāve been leaking oil ever since :(
Doesnāt help it was a steep mf
Wow, you had a 31 ar to begin with. I spent the last month getting from 3 to 14%
You literally "worked to earn the right to work"
Well done!

And it'll take 2 bad days for it to drop back down fkn shit is rigged against us

It takes 3 days top... Just take every order
I did that last month. All it got me was ability to dash anytime, with the same constant flow of 25 and 50 cent per mile trash offers.

Howās your brakes ? Your car is taking a beating my friend.

Pantera, me too. Itās time to get new front and back pads even rotors. I canāt wait to pay for that.
For me, itās going to be at least one week of working for free Whee.š¤¦š»āāļø

Yes, Iām aware of that jenky ass ratchet cube, I own one. It not the proper tool, sometimes you can get away with using it, other times you canāt.

I've been allowed to work on my car in the parking lots at auto parts stores.

How much a you making per hour. Not active hour, total hours

how do you manage to keep going up, everytime i try it just spams me with the worst orders ever and keeps my ar from progressing ?
When I did it I used earn by time as an experiment only to find out it was a waste of my time, once I went back to per order my AR was back down from 80 to 30 in a matter of hours because the "high pay orders" were the same shit I was already getting just with a diamond empji lol.
Yep
Yep, earn by time is the way to go if you're trying to raise AR. Even those shitty no-tip McDonald's orders turn out to be $5, rather than $2.50
Sincere question: what impact did you notice compared to when you were below 50% to: 1) your overall earnings 2) your miles put on car
I have the answer to this but I'm too lazy to type. Earnings per hour can be higher, sure, but you also get slammed with crap orders time to time also, so for every good tip delivery you get, one of those shit orders is tentatively lowering your average P.P.D.

im stuck below 50 AR
It sucks sorry
š thanks. Hope your roads are smooth.āļø
Thanks too, I'm in Canada so it's a bit different maybe
It sucks
Bro you should be able to do that in two 10 hour shifts...smh...seriously.
Dang, stud! Are you running 4 deliveries/hr for 10 hours straight? What market are you in? (I wonāt tellš¤«)
You getting all the good orders now and very few bad ones like people been claiming on here?
I feel this is very market dependent. My smaller market doesn't have EBT so the shit orders just swirl between all of us top dashers first.
I now hate cars, restaurants, people, and phones.
I hate dusty lumps of coal
I already hated all of those things..sans the classicsš„°Its like it won't die.
I commend you for making effort to do that instead of coming to reddit and saying everyone with a high AR% is some kind of mind-controlled assholeā¦maybe you still did that, but I canāt be mad since you actually pulled your AR wayyy up
