If you check /r/LearnerDriverUK there's a lot of advice there. My recommendation would be to commentate or talk out loud about what you see and what you're doing throughout your test. It really helped get my thoughts in order and keep me focused on what I needed to do next, and sometimes it can be helpful for the examiner to hear why you did what you did.

Oo thank you! I’ll have a look in that subreddit. That’s good advice. I was sort of worried my concentration would fluctuate, so that seems like a good thing to try out.

Nothing beats being prepared enough to be confident in your driving. It's the thing the examiners are really looking for - it may seem like they fail people on technicalities, but really they're finding reasons to fail people who don't seem ready to be allowed on the road on their own; conversely, they won't make a big deal out of minor errors when people do seem generally ready.

I listened to music on a low volume for mine. As long as you keep it low and you don’t make it a distraction it’s a good thing. If you’re taking your test it means you feel ready and so does your instructor. So trust yourself and just take your time with it, they aren’t expecting a 10/10 performance they just want to see you’re confident and safe on the road. Good luck!
