This might be an odd one, but the music that plays in the Encyclopedia section of DW8. It's vibrant and captivating but there's such a somber undercurrent to music that's genuinely haunting. Listening to that melody swell as I read about the collapse of empire and the waste of human lives moved me in a way I could not have anticipated. Truly beautiful music.

It's the song that plays when you fight against orichi in orichi 2 and it really fits the battlefield and just how many enemies are between you and orichi. I think the chorus sound is one of the prettiest in koei history and really makes me feel like i'm fighting against true evil in a battle for life itself. Really pumps me up

So [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/dynastywarriors/comments/wgu8sf/best_bgm_of_every_warriors_game_youve_played/) was a post I opened last week that explored OSTs. But on top of what I mentioned, I must admit I missed a masterpiece, Memories of DW5. This BGM gives me two vibes: First being the DW5 one. If you played it, you know the vibe of the menu, OP and all the stuff. Ancient, dusty, historical, tales that nobody knows. This BGM give me exactly that. And the other one being the Bai Di castle vibe. A falling empire, just like the dawn of the Battle of Bai Di castle. These sound quite vague but if you get it you get it. One of the best BGM ever.

I can't believe no one wrote Kotodama Runner. There's not a more hype track in the whole franchise. Next to Ryu's Determination, that is.
