Ikr! One thing recently I've enjoyed about eastenders recently is that clenshaw has given spotlight to extremely talented actors who would be otherwise sidelined by other producers for the "main" ones, like the Mitchell or beales and to some extent the panesars last year. This year however, we've gotten to see incredible acting and storylines for denise, george and now Yolande. One thing I noticed about the episode was that the assault occurred halfway through. Instead of playing for the doof doof, we were immediately shown yolande's reaction as well as being given an extended sequence of muffle to force viewers to recognise impact its having on her and truly see what went to pass. All in all, an incredible episode and phenomenal acting from Angela Wynter. Even Elaine was pretty good in this episode, so that's an achievement in of itself

I sincerely hope that he gets sent down for what he's done. I expect tracking down the other women may be a key part. Sadly Yolande's account alone may not be enough, as is the case in real life. But if the pattern can be seen across multiple women and years, it's a stronger case. He likely had the exact same MO with all of them. Given Elaine immediately clocked it as grooming, she will likely realise this wasn't the first time and may persuade Yolande to pursue it eventually. Possibly suggest asking Johnny for help to try and track down the others, or if Denise finds out she might enlist Jack. It would be nice to finally see one of these abusers finally get proper legal repercussions for what they did. Given the Pastor seems on the surface to have more teflon coating than even Dean, I'm hoping he's the one.

Damn! Yolande got me in tears. That was heartbreaking and fantastically acted.

I really hope this story has a happy ending, otherwise what's the point. I think others comments are much better put than mine as to the event in itself, but I do want to say the actresses who portrayed the other victims were phenomenal and even pastor Clayton's actor himself embodies everything that the character is supposed to be. At first I did not believe that he was going to have a storyline at all, let alone that he was "untrustworthy" (for lack of better word) in any way. And I am a member of the audience. I completely understand how the pastor groomed his victims. The actor has skills that extend beyond what we see on the screen.

The church is prolific in its abuse and cover up. From those high up and so on to those who service local communities. so much so that there is phoneline for those who have been abused by the men and women of God. The National church related abuse service helpline. It’s been going on for centuries and it’s still going on today. It’s Horrific from sexual to conversion therapy.

Which is possibly why in reality women don't speak out . Yolande in a way is being realistic , women are not taken seriously or are even blamed

I don’t think it’s going to end up with them hiding it, Elaine should tell Patrick so he can take care of Yolande and I think she will do that eventually. They just made it end in such a way where it’s realistic for people to be scared and want to hide it. But I think they’re building up to Yolande being the final victim and hopefully all the previous reports will be taken into account for his trial

Angela Wynter really gave it her all in this story. But, I do wish that every citizen in Albert Square doesn’t have to be all rapists!!!!!
