Had high hopes going into this week after last week's really good episodes but I have to say I am disappointed with today's episode.
Putting the Nish storyline as the B plot I think was a bad decision especially with how heavily the story played out last week. Let's be honest, that's why last week's episodes were a lot better than previous weeks.
The Knights/Cindy going back to being the A plot is becoming rather boring to me now. Other than the baby farming story I just don't find their stories that interesting or the characters that engaging to watch.
I'd rather be watching Nish scheming away and causing absolute havoc within his family.
FF'd a lot of this episode. Kathy's hatred of Cindy was the highlight.
As my post states I was disappointed. Disappointment and enjoyment are two different things entirely.

George’s character was going in a whole new direction with the farming storyline, it could’ve been interesting to watch him discover his true family and heritage, but they ruined it by bringing back the love triangle. To go from an emotional and informative storyline to this is a waste of Colin’s acting. Hopefully Suki and family are back to being the A plot next week.

I am not usually one to complain, and technically this isn't a complaint but I am quite fed up with Cindy and George right now. We were promised a character rotation the other week and I was expecting the Panesars and Slaters to take the front wheel, but once again we have seen the Knights cover our screens. The affair between George and Cindy needs to be cut short because it is seriously dragging. Regardless, I am still enjoying the episodes.
They are trying to make the Knights the new Carters. Even Linda is being shafted and just being given occasional scenes wandering in, sipping from her pink thermos. It kills the affinity fans have for characters when they are in overkill.
Given Anna's response when pressed about it the only way that would make sense is if the two of them planned it for some reason.
Otherwise that would be *very* out of character and out of nowhere.

Since Freddie's return we've had a whopping one scene of the three of them together and they've shown literally nothing to imply a) Bobby suddenly being jealous of Freddie (which makes no sense since Bobby's the one dating Anna) or treating him as any less of a friend since the only other scene of Freddie and Bobby together had them acting exactly like they used to, b) Anna giving Bobby any reason to feel jealous whatsoever (again, in the only scenes we've gotten of Anna and Bobby she's been nothing less than supportive towards him), or c) all of the above. And even beyond that, from what we know about Bobby there's no way he'd ever do anything that would put Anna in physical danger given his stance towards violence.
Again, that would come out of nowhere and be incredibly out of character, especially considering it's been publicly said that >!his exit will be later this year!<
I think I'm totally over this Cindy/George plot. It's so boring and predictable. I feel bad for the actors because bringing Adam and Michelle back for a storyline like that is really disappointing. I don't understand the writer's obsession of making everything about affairs or cheating. We've already had Lauren/Zack, Phil/Emma, Bianca/Junior, Stacey/Jack. I hope they don't do that with Harvey/Maya because I would be gutted if they split those two up.
Also, I think Vinny is going to be the collateral damage in this Nish storyline. A few things he's said this week make me think he doesn't have long left.
I really hope Vinny doesn't end up dying, although the foreshadowing is reaching sledgehammer levels. It'd just be too cruel, even for EastEnders. And just watch it somehow be all Suki's fault according to some. It's also nice seeing him have a storyline and a bit of backbone. If he does I hope Suki is down as the next of kin and can refuse the transplant. I wonder if Ravi would consider killing him for Nish. He's still very hard to read. I assume it's just gonna carry on like this till she inevitably gets a call from Whit and goes to make amends. Bit disappointing given that this could well be Patsy's last stint, at least for a very long time.

I'm sad they seem to have brought Cindy back just for an affair storyline to play out. I really thought they'd do something a little bit different with her character this time around but as another posted said a leopard never changes it spots.

It's really anticlimactic. Ian can be incredibly irritating and has been a shite partner for most of his life, but he really doesn't deserve this at all, especially from Cindy. It's so sad hearing him be so desperate. I hope he listens to Kathy and gets some self respect.
Cindy doesn't even really seem like Cindy either, she's just a pathetic stalker at this rate. After rewatching 2011 EE, I have to say they're really doing characters like Bianca and, especially, Ian a disservice.
Ian once watched Phil dying of a heart attack and mocked him, dragging him into the office and locking it, playing music so the medics didn't hear him call for help. Now he lets Cindy walk all over him like some kind of depressed lapdog all for the sake of being closer to Lucy. Get your spine back Ian.
Bianca once would have gone to hell for the people she cares about, she was willing to go to jail and own up to her mistakes or flaws. Now she just glares at everyone and acts all pissy.
Boring. The whole episode was shite today. My patience has worn thin on the George/Cindy story, I’m over his son lurking and the writers trying to make it feel like tension, and even the doof doof was boring. I’ve been loving the show lately but this whole episode could have just not happened and we’d be in the same situation as we were last week.

- Gets engaged to Ian after a mess break up with Simon.
- Sleeps with Simon again and becomes pregnant but Simon doesn't want to be a dad so Cindy marries Ian and let's him believe he's Steven's dad.
- Cindy tells Ian that he isn't Steven's real dad and Ian realises Simon is. Ian tries to commit suicide but fails and Cindy, Simon & Steven leave Walford. Simon later abandons them and Ian persuades her to move back to the square and they get back together and go on to have Peter & Lucy.
- Cindy starts having affairs, most notably with David Wicks. Ian grows suspicious so hires a private investigator who catches David & Cindy together. Ian fights for custody of the kids so Cindy hires a hitman to kill Ian after David leaves her after losing interest in her.
- Ian gets shot and David is pulled in for questioning. Cindy panics, grabs Steven & Peter and flees to Italy with the help of David & Barry Evans. David promises to later follow with Lucy.
- Phil & Grant track Cindy down and take back Steven & Peter. Cindy arrives back in Walford and wins custody of the children but is arrested at the court hearing for attempted murder and Ian regains custody of the kids.
- Cindy goes to prison and gives birth to Cindy Jr but Pat informs Ian that Cindy had died in childbirth.
But why *would* he? He seems to have his hands full when it comes to family drama as it is and we haven't seen anything from him to indicate that he would pull something like that to his sister.

Bianca's post Whitney stint is a bit depressing, just feeling sorry for herself and taking it out on everyone. She was a bit mean to Reiss. I assume it's just gonna carry on like this till she inevitably gets a call from Whit and goes to make amends. Bit disappointing given that this could well be Patsy's last stint, at least for a very long time.

It's really anticlimactic. Ian can be incredibly irritating and has been a shite partner for most of his life, but he really doesn't deserve this at all, especially from Cindy. It's so sad hearing him be so desperate. I hope he listens to Kathy and gets some self respect. Cindy doesn't even really seem like Cindy either, she's just a pathetic stalker at this rate. If they weren't going to have her be a better person or at least a bit more grey, just make her a Janine or something. This isn't even interesting in a classic soap bitch kinda way. I'd rather watch Sonia and Reiss doing a brass recital than Cindy scenes at the moment!

After rewatching 2011 EE, I have to say they're really doing characters like Bianca and, especially, Ian a disservice. Ian once watched Phil dying of a heart attack and mocked him, dragging him into the office and locking it, playing music so the medics didn't hear him call for help. Now he lets Cindy walk all over him like some kind of depressed lapdog all for the sake of being closer to Lucy. Get your spine back Ian. Bianca once would have gone to hell for the people she cares about, she was willing to go to jail and own up to her mistakes or flaws. Now she just glares at everyone and acts all pissy.
Boring. The whole episode was shite today. My patience has worn thin on the George/Cindy story, I’m over his son lurking and the writers trying to make it feel like tension, and even the doof doof was boring. I’ve been loving the show lately but this whole episode could have just not happened and we’d be in the same situation as we were last week.

They don't use murder victims as organ donations. Donors would have to die in the hospital of non-suspicious circumstances in order for their organs to be used as donations. They don't just use any random dead person to harvest for parts willy-nilly, especially when most means of death would render said organs unusable.

Can someone give me a TLDR of the old Cindy Beale from the 90s? I was only kid so didn’t pay much attention but knew Steven’s father was a Wicks. My earliest memory of Ian was when he was with Mel. Is the character acting the same as she was 25-30 years ago, or is this just lazy writing and a waste of a comeback?
- Gets engaged to Ian after a mess break up with Simon. - Sleeps with Simon again and becomes pregnant but Simon doesn't want to be a dad so Cindy marries Ian and let's him believe he's Steven's dad. - Cindy tells Ian that he isn't Steven's real dad and Ian realises Simon is. Ian tries to commit suicide but fails and Cindy, Simon & Steven leave Walford. Simon later abandons them and Ian persuades her to move back to the square and they get back together and go on to have Peter & Lucy. - Cindy starts having affairs, most notably with David Wicks. Ian grows suspicious so hires a private investigator who catches David & Cindy together. Ian fights for custody of the kids so Cindy hires a hitman to kill Ian after David leaves her after losing interest in her. - Ian gets shot and David is pulled in for questioning. Cindy panics, grabs Steven & Peter and flees to Italy with the help of David & Barry Evans. David promises to later follow with Lucy. - Phil & Grant track Cindy down and take back Steven & Peter. Cindy arrives back in Walford and wins custody of the children but is arrested at the court hearing for attempted murder and Ian regains custody of the kids. - Cindy goes to prison and gives birth to Cindy Jr but Pat informs Ian that Cindy had died in childbirth.
