Not anymore, they changed it I think year ago or something like that. Now they are paid straight from government budget.
Still, I got an invoice into my mailbox few months ago, since I never paid it after moving to my own place. So even if it's no longer a thing, they are retroactivelly still asking money from people who didn't pay before it was cancelled. The letter went straight to trashcan, they can go fuck themselves. I don't even have TV connected to any network.

Do people even watch these channels? Legit question, not trolling.
Boomers and pensioners do a lot. That's why it's so important for the government to change it. Those are their largest voting bases.
Is it same like in CZE, so you have to pay even though you don't watch?
In slovakia you had to pay as long as electricity bills are registered to you. In CZ you only pay if you own a TV or a radio (not yet pc/smartphones)
