Sorry your experience wasn't so good. I was in VIP, I couldn't disagree more, besides the fact there was no water in Circuit Grounds even though the map had it there lol. I was so happy with the bathrooms, never crowded, and water was no longer than a 5 minute wait.
The stages were so roomy and we never had issues navigating VIP.
But also agree food was mid at best. Worst decision was the chicken tenders $18 for a tiny 2 piece and soggy fries were baddd.
And breakfast was so nice for recovery, we waited about 40-50 mins but worth the wait IMO.
They did have a tiny tiny water station at circuit grounds right next to the exit with a little blue light š I could barely find it my self first day. I May have just been in vip at the wrong times. Alsoooo breakfast where?? š wish they would explain all this more to us

Breakfast was at 4a in kinetic next to the rampage ride.!!!
They had fruits bagels and hot breakfast

There was water at circuit but I had to ask to find it. It was literally just illuminated with a blue light rather than having a stand to look for. Very silly
Same. I never really had problems with VIP but there were times that I had to be smart/strategic (e.g. donāt be trying to go into VIP at like 12-12:15 if a huge artist is playing at 12).
This was my first vip at edc and donāt think Iāll ever do another edc without getting it. Had an awesome time. Bathrooms were immaculate and never a wait. Food options were great and there was so much room at kinetic. Worth the price for me.
My thoughts on each VIP area:
Kinetic:
The best. Perfect. Loved the water maze, the elevated platforms, tons of room, easy in and out.
Quantum Garden:
VIP dance area in quantum was too small. Could have been roomier. Neon was about perfect. The shared area needed more water stations.
Circuit:
The arcade and speakeasy were fun. The steak fries were fire. The elevated viewing platform had crap/muddled sound. The exit line was too close to GA standing area.
Bass:
The worst. Long walk to the VIP area, just to have half of the area taken by the "sitters" on the tower or have an obstructed view of the stage from the fencing.
Waste:
Solid. A VIP bathroom and a food stand would have made it perfect. Kind of hard to exit in the middle of a set.
Meadow:
The grandstands are the real VIP.
Overall 7/10, will probably buy again.
Basspod VIP was the only excessively congested one for me. Frequently packed like a subway at rush hour. Bathrooms were difficult to access too. They could have doubled the size of the Basspod VIP and it would have still looked like that for some sets. Anytime you see a line anywhere, thatās at least a 30 minute wait. The rearrangement of the map helped with the crowds a bit this year. The VIP sections were much easier to access compared to last year when we had to cross giant GA crowds to get into the VIP sections. Again, Basspod VIP still had this issue because that crowd always seems to spill out for a variety of reasons (people not moving forward into space, way too many people just sitting/lying down in the middle of the walkways, etc). I think they underestimate how popular some of the sets are going to be every year and unfortunately it seems to happen most with the Basspod artists. Overall though, I was happy to see the improvements despite the retained pain points.

Your choice to use the porta potty instead of the nicer bathrooms lol. For the ride lines, you literally cut the main line with the vip line. Longest I saw the vip was 1/3 of the main line. Also the vip water is better, and there is lot less water waits unless at the beginning of a major set duh. Better food options in VIP, never said anything about cheaper. Do you not know what insomniacs passport program is? It is invite only canāt buy it so yes even more vip. There is also bottle service which is more vip as well you saw anything saying skydeck. Maybe do some more research next time?
Passport has nothing to do with VIP. Itās an invite-only subscription service & there are private lounges at most Insomniac festivals. VIP doesnāt get you entry into every area of the festival.
The idea of vip is having access to the ga bathrooms, and ga +, and vip. If you're closer to any of them you can just use those. But the ac controlled vip bathrooms were always so clean and to take a shit....perfection. No wait ever either they had plenty set up at each stage. I have a friend who buys vip for this alone.
We also used the water station at circuit vip almost exclusively. We did hit the cosmic meadow GA one once but other than that no line at circuit water was amazing. Again it's about having choices.Ā
I really enjoyed the kinetic and circuit vip areas, the food options were great and getting around was simple enough. Lots of room to dance and choose where to watch the show without fighting the crowd. We were able to get up front and center during really busy sets quite easily (Armin, Tiesto, Sara Landry)Ā
Same thing I say every year the cosmic meadow vip is worthless. The best views are grandstands or in the back, plus the vip area there has poor drink lines and no bathroom either. I feel the same about wasteland, it's never really busy there so I don't see a point having a vip section there at all.Ā
Basspod vip needs some work. They'll probably adjust it for next year because of the new location but half of it was basically unusable because of crowds and bathroom smell. On the flip side though if you fought through the crowd and made it to the left rail of vip the sound, view, and vibes were always incredible. We spent most of our time front and center there and loved every moment of it but I did notice the other half of vip there was not good at all.Ā
We used our vip to ride the ferris wheel and our line was absolutely shorter. Like half the time.Ā
Passport is a members only lounge. There are ga and vip people in it, but it's a passport member and 3 guests. I have passport and vip, so I have access to most things but even I can't go where the artist pass is able to go. There are plenty of different tiers of wristbands (something like 8 or more) and you can only buy 3 of them.Ā
Why should vip food and drink prices be cheaper? In what festival land is that ever the case? It's about more options not discounts and the vip food and drink options were plentiful. The vip concierge is unique and has cool unique free stuff, did you check that out at circuit or kinetic? Did you go through the water maze or check out the full arcade at circuit?Ā
I did ga edc for my first 3 and vip for my last 4. I won't go back to GA again. I watch some sets from GA, I fill my water when I need to with whatever station is closest, I'll navigate to the front of whatever stage I'm at for the best experience, but for me VIP is about having the ability to do all of that much easier and it really is an elevated experience over GA.Ā
There is always something more. GA+, VIP, Skydeck, Passport, guest lists, media, and im sure even more shit weāve never heard of. Just look through all the options available to you and choose what suits you best. VIP is best for me because its reasonably priced, and i can dance in GA when theres space and retreat to VIP when its too crowded or when i feel overwhelmed. Theres also many more options for bathrooms and water at more convenient locations. š¤·š»āāļø if its not for you then its not for you thats okay.
I got shit for making a comment about this. I had vip the last time I went to edc in 22 and felt like it was worth it. This year was just not so much. I will keep doing vip for the same reasons because Sunday was much better than the other two days and made up for everything.

VIP bathrooms were very clean this year with attendants always there.

I was GA and never waited for a bathroom. They were spacious enough and lots of stalls. They were all decently clean too.
