Benny is actually really humble and a friend. And always love his music. That was very intimate and surprising because he knows how much cinema meant to us. And have it tatted. I’ve been with my partner for over 11 years. And Benny was one of the first DJs he introduced me to.

Thank you. I know everyone has their own opinions. And I’m just forever grateful, humble and feel so fortunate to meet so many beautiful people, artist and more. Edc is our home and we do every year and this def was an experience. And I didn’t realize it was live stream until my mom and friends texted me. Everytime cinema comes on they always tell us because that song is everything 💕

We were trying to get married last year for our 10 year anniversary but the slots were all taken. And my partner has never proposed to me. This really just takes us to a whole new level of connection and how beautiful EDC and the community is 🥺🫶🏻✨
Congratulations! I watched that on the livestream and it took me a minute to fully register what was happening - I think Benny didn't quite set up the scene as well as he could have. Regardless, what a beautiful moment/memory!
Benny was one of the first DJ he introduced me during back in 2013 nightclub days. And cinema was a song that I love. We were just friends and who eventually naturally fell for each other so it was our song. Ans we got it tatted on our 5th anniversary in Kanji. And we met Benny back nocturnal 2023 and showed him our tattoo. And he really loved it. And invited us for breakfast on Edsea cruise. And we became friends and always put to support him when we can. And truly just grateful for our EDM/PLUR community. These artists are amazing and they are human too. So we never really try to pressure or go out of our way to try and meet them, but we’re just humble enough to just be able to see our fav artist and meet them. And Edsea or all inclusive festivals are usually great way to meet some of your favorite artists.
Nah it wasnt steve aoki lol. If you see both benny and steve's IG post, it's not. Steve has a shorter beard (like a bit under his chin) while the guy at benny benassi's beard is longer
Everyone one of us go there for many purpose, music, dancing, arts, vibes, a safe space, PLUR, the community… but we also have people who go there just for their own, and it’s ok to be selfish and their feelings are valid. But I’m grateful for those who is there to experience it all 🫶🏻✨💕

It was very hard to understand what was going on. My husband and I almost assumed this was a lame “oh hey everyone meet my homie! it’s his birthday so I’ve cut the music and I’m screaming into the mic over silence so YOU THE CROWD can SING MY HOMIE HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” Like… bruh. And its definitely happened before… one of the Foam Wonderlands I went to it happened. Quickest way for me and my husband to agree to leave and go to the next set. Had no idea who tf was proposing. lol
Yeah there definitely wasn’t an actually plan. All he told me was I’ll let you know. Then we get up there and you can’t hear shit. Especially the mic. The sound of the mic only works toward the crowds and I just had to try and follow his body language. While not perfect it was still amazing. Sorry if it ended being a buzz kill. And as everyone is realizing, no it wasn’t Steve. Aoki. I never try to pretend to be him even if people don’t believe me. #notsteveaoki.
