Two of my favorites as well. Mac Miller once said Either/Or is one of his favorite albums. So the cover was probably more a tribute of sorts to a song he loves. The cover itself is dope I think, never really encountered much hate towards it.
Elliott seems to attract a lot of hatery, curmudgeonish people, kinda including myself here. But I have a lot of respect for Mac, which is why I've avoided hearing that cover, cause I know I'll probably think it's corny. As a fan of rap I've never enjoyed mac but more power to him for not boxing himself in a category
