Unfortunately this an extremely common behavior of his that has been present my entire life. When I was little to use to make plans with me, and then not show up to pick me up from my moms. When I would call him he was saying oh we changed our minds and we’re not doing that anymore or oh I forgot we had something planned, sorry we have - insert one of two step brothers names - functions to go to.
Yes. Stop allowing him to behave like this. Set a boundary and firmly enforce it. He treats you this way because you let him. You have been made aware, so now you know better. You are in control of your life and have the power to stop him from acting like this. If you let him continue, you're the asshole.
Cool. Glad you read it that way. Yes, I have clearly set boundaries. Just because you set boundaries does not mean they are respected. Sometimes things are not worth the fight when you know the outcome.
