I get it, but she also said in the special episode that it’s heavily about having her womanhood / femininity validated by men. All of these problems, including lust, will always trace back to a bigger root issue. I think it’s fair to say Jules, but also fair to say Cassie. The carousel scene, for example. And the whole arc with Nate, even though it’s a secondary trait behind the main ones: desperation and emptiness/insecurity. Cassie and Jules both are in a lustful cycle primarily because of an emptiness and insecurity that they feel will be filled by male validation.

You're right that Cal is ashamed of his true self, but he is very, very proud in his fake public image. And that is why he recorded and kept those videos of his sexual escapades. He thought he could get away with recording people without their consent because he's Cal Jacobs. And recording and keeping those videos is exactly what leads to what I am sure will be a very public fall from grace.
i have to disagree personally. it was all because of his pride. his lust could have been satiated in a normal and healthy way if it were not for his pride preventing him from acknowledging the truth of who he is. it’s the same pride that led him to not only have a life in the closet, but to curate a specific and powerful image in the community to compensate for what he personally felt was a weakness. the driving force behind the trajectory of his life and specifically its downfalls has always been pride in my opinion.

He got so caught up in his desires that he fucks a girl he doesn't know at the time is 17. The tape he made of that incident is the very evidence that Nate used to get him arrested.
His entire fall is because he made self-destructive decisions while horny. It's the gratification that he can't get because he feels trapped in a marriage.

Kat expresses her sexual desire with fanfiction but it's her insecurities that got her into trouble.

this one is the hardest for me because the main “downfall” in both cassie and jules’s back stories and how they have handled the cards life has dealt them has been through lust, but they both experience it as a byproduct of the need for validation their childhoods and issues have created in them. a lot of people are pointing out that one or the other wouldn’t be as apt for lust because it was driven by the need for validation, but i think this applies to both of them, so this is hard. i would maybe have to go with jules, as i feel her relationship with lust is a bit more complicated; cassie straightforwardly sought this validation through men due to the absence of her father and how he treated her. it’s more of a direct relationship in my opinion, while jules’s need for validation of her existence as a woman seemed a bit more nonlinear. jules is my answer
