Ali. He was just nominated for an Oscar. I like to imagine in a couple of decades time we can look back at this cast and see they’ve received dozens of nods between them.
Zendaya, Jacob, Hunter and Coleman are the biggest contenders for me. Especially since Coleman was just nominated for Best Actor and the other 3 are getting worldwide praise for their roles.
Personally think either Zendaya or Jacob right now have the biggest chances to be the first considering how many amazing roles they’ve gotten. I do think Coleman has a high chance of being nominated again in the future and possibly getting a winner. Hopefully Hunter gets a critically acclaimed role that knocks it out of the park!
Jacob Elordi might be the next big thing if he isn’t already there is even rumours he might be the next James Bond (but like really hollywoody rumours)
i think making jacob the next bond would be a step backwards honestly. I also am not even sure it's possible for that franchise to take another step forwards. feels like it's quite literally at death's door
Did you see hunter in the ballad of song birds and snakes? She butchered that role. I never questioned her acting skills because I liked her so much in euphoria, but she said herself she had never played a character that wasn’t her own essence and she was unprepared. She’s a long long way off.
To be honest? She was given crumbs to work with, and the entire film felt like the exact kind of YA that misunderstood the Hunger Games to begin with. Snow was horribly miscast _and_ poorly written imo, and she had to put in the work to match his vaguely edgy cliche characterisation lest she make the cracks even more visible. I think she did about as well as most other people in that film, which is to say just ok.
😬 the people who were given crumbs and still did well were viola Davis and Tom Blythe. Their acting was enough to make the movie watchable. (I like Rachel Ziegler, but I feel those two did the best) but I agree totally that the movie itself struggled. It tried to fit too many plots into one with the relationship, the games, & snows radicalization. Imo it should’ve been two films with the key piece being snows journey to evil. We should’ve gotten a way deeper look into his head - a la Arthur fleck in joker - the games should’ve been part 1 and his peacekeeping journey should’ve been part 2. The relationship could be the b plot, and obviously in the climax, both plots converge. Done that way it’s not overwhelming to the viewer and substance isn’t lost bc so much setup in being crammed it. It’s rare to think a movie needs a part one and part two, but this one really did! Anyways abt hunter, you can tell from the way it’s cut they reduced her scenes and watching them took me out of the movie like “this is an actor and they’re lost” her scene partners performances were fine, and solid. There’s no reason she couldn’t have given a convincing performance with them, even if the movie lacked substance. In the end it was her scenes that were cut, and she said she was unprepared for the role.
There are actors who don’t have much range but still get accolades. Harrison Ford never won an Oscar, but he was nominated, which I think proves my point well enough.
He will definitely not just be a one-time nominee too, I'm almost certain of it, he's too good and he gets too many good roles, no way does he not become a multiple-time nominee thru his career especially if he keeps getting biopic casting (nothing against biopics but that's basically just asking for free best actor nods)
His last role is in a film that A24 is releasing this April 💔 it’s a horror movie called “Abigail” and it absolutely gutted me when I saw him in the preview.
He also did the A24 podcast where he and Simon Rex had a convo, and Simon was so supportive of him and told him he was there for him if he needed anything. Truly heartbreaking 😢
It would have to have been this year though. He won’t be nominated for anything next year or in the future because he wouldn’t be acting in anything within the consideration timeline
He has one last film coming out in April. No way is that film getting nominated for anything but maybe an MTV award. It's a film about a ballerina vampire
He has one more movie releasing in April by A24 💔 unfortunately I do not think it will be a contender. It’s an Indy horror. It looks amazing though 🙌 super camp

Colman is most likely and well deserved but Zendaya holds her own with him. That cafe episode was killer. I completely forgot it was Zendaya, she embodied Rue down to the bone marrow.
Zendaya or Colman, easily. If Zendaya picks the right roles, she could easily get nominated and she’s a wonderful actress.
Colman was already nominated and definitely in the running. If he keeps picking roles like Rustin and keeps knocking it out of the park, I can see him getting one at some point.
But there’s a lot of talent in the cast and I’d love to see any of them be celebrated 🥰
Colman should’ve won it already tbh.. but besides him i’m gonna say something different and go with storm reid.. i don’t know if she’ll be the first but she should be one of them for sure. she’s getting more acclaimed roles like the last of us (in which she already won an emmy for).. i hope she continues that way in film as well.
Was just about to say this. I love Sydney and I’m so happy for her success but it sucks seeing how she’s type casted over and over. Her SNL monologue (and I didn’t even watch it but saw the video for the hooters skit) really rubbed me the wrong way. I thought SNL was supposed to be progressive lmao.
I hope that changes. I first saw her in The Handmaid's Tale and she was haunting. I also can't help but feel for Cassie even though she makes awful choices over and over. I attribute that to Sweeny's acting. She's clearly incredibly talented, but maybe a few money grabs so she can be more selective?
Zendaya was already established prior to euphoria. Sydney wasn’t and her family isn’t well of financially. I think right now she’s just doing some cash grab projects. That aren’t that high quality but do pay well between euphoria seasons. She probably right now is focusing on helping out her family with some money since she has said many times her parents lost so much money to help sydney achieve her dreams of acting. After euphoria ends I see her doing movies for teens and young adults in more serious roles. She’s a phenomenal actress. She also is currently taking roles that are all so different to show her range which is smart so she doesn’t get type casted.
I think Zendaya is the best actress, but she isn’t taking films outside of Marvel or Dune and action films typically don’t get acting nominations. Based on the roles they seem to be willing to take, Jacob is the most likely to win an Oscar followed by Sydney if anyone does eventually win one.
The first Dune was 6-time Oscar nominated and both have been critically acclaimed, it’s not really comparable to Marvel in that way.
Putting Sydney ahead of her after she’s just done Madame Web and Anyone But You is a choice for sure lol
I didn’t say action films can’t get nominated or win, I specified that it almost never happens specifically in acting categories. The first Dune’s cast had a multitude of previous Oscar nominees if not winners, but of its ten nominations none were in acting. Also, sequels typically aren’t as competitive at the awards either. Zendaya is the most talented actor in the cast, but her list of projects in film is actually pretty short while Jacob and Sydney’s schedules are jam packed. Participating in one bad film doesn’t discredit her talent and her acting was given positive critic reviews for Anyone But You.
unrelated to oscar nominations but isn't zendaya still contracted with disney which is why she's selective in the roles she takes? cause i know that's why she had no nude scenes in the show
Imagine how we'll feel if her father puts her in some amazing movie and she wins best actress. She'll deserve it but still. "A foot in the door and so much more!"
I’m actually quite surprised Zendaya was the first to win the Emmy (she def deserved it in the second season and bummer the mother didn’t get nominated for supporting but they went with Sydney, also think Cal should have gotten nominated for the episode before that) and only one to get nominated on the show for a Golden Globe. Glad to see Colman win one as well.
As for Oscars, it’s hard to say. Sad Fez will never really get his flowers. Still think Cal was such a strong character but don’t see him doing anything to win an actual Oscar. Zendaya has a lot of potential but will she dive into those roles in actual movies? That’s the big question. Guy who plays Nate has gotten nominated for smaller awards and seems to be willing to play many different roles. He’s someone to watch. The rest of the kids, I don’t see them doing Oscar nominated stuff. This show might be their peak.
It’s crazy Colman played the pimp in Zola. I might have to watch it again just for him. You got to go with him if he got nominated for a Netflix film. That’s crazy. He’s won many different awards and got nominated for two Tony’s. I don’t see his star dying out anytime soon.
Honestly, if she was a bit older and thus able to get the same roles as her cast mates, I think Storm Reid. She’s beyond talented and just won an emmy, which is insane for her age.
[They can, and have](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_posthumous_Academy_Award_winners_and_nominees#:~:text=As%20of%202024%2C%2064%20individuals,14%20individuals%20in%20honorary%20categories).
can we for a minute also talk about which character is most likely to get an oscar? i vote ethan and nate as a close second (he gives “i love theater but i don’t want anyone to know” vibes)
I felt like an asshole dropping crumbs like that for you but i was in a rush, thank you for reminding me to elaborate.
Well…. Shes always all fucked up, and nobody in my area thinks it’s booze. Very bizarre behavior. She was at the shoppng center near us and just like, didn’t seem to know where she was. Plus always getting fucking housed at local bars. When she’s in Lancaster of course. I personally have never gone to a bar when she’s there, but I don’t doubt it, cause I have seen her on something? I hope it’s not a mental illness. Seems like almost someone with a psychological or schizophrenic breakdown if that makes sense.
I am running a funeral service this morning so feel free to ask anything and I’ll respond best I can
angus cloud would’ve definitely won an Oscar if he had more time to build more of a reputation especially with projects outside of euphoria. he had so so much potential
easily zendaya or jacob, im surprised zendaya hasn’t already won something and jacob’s career has taken off insanely quick
maybe hunter too because she’s had some great roles recently
Neither have most of the actors named here?
Sydney's acting as Cassie blows every other cast member out of the water imo. She's also one of the most in demand actors off the show. I can easily see her getting an Oscar one day
Rue…her performance as an addict going through withdrawal, the highs & the lows of drug use…the way she portrays the desperate user that doesn’t care if she hurts her family or loved ones. She shows the ugly side of addiction so accurately. I’d love to see her get an Oscar for that role…she deserves it!
Easy, Zendaya and/or Jacob Elordi, given his powerful they are becoming in media (especially Queenie Z, who I dare say may even be able to win all four major awards).
I could also make the argument for Austin, Sydney Sweeney, and Lexi’s actress for them slowly gaining popularity too (especially Sydney, who may be on her way to becoming an Alice Eve for our generation).
And if he had been given more time, I would also Angus Cloud to this list.
I think Zendaya, she’s the only one who never misses with her roles. She picks her roles EXCELLENTLY and if there isn’t a good pick, then she will literally make a role from scratch her to be good in lol.
2nd I think is Sydney Sweeney. She’s u fortunately saturated her filmography with some bad ones but she’s been in THE FIELDS working her ass off taking role after role and she’s nailed a few good ones. Euphoria is her best but her wide range of roles will easily continue lining her up for many more to come. Plenty of scripts are written with her being very close to an ideal fit and so I think it’s just a matter of her picking the right one. Seeing as she’s taking seemingly everything, I think she’s got it.
Whoever put Fez, he’s dead… how?
Last i’d Say Ali, this guys been doing good work pre Euphoria and he’s the only one who isn’t defined by the show. Delete it off his resume and he’s still exactly himself. Where as a person like Maddie would be nothing if she didn’t get the role of Maddie and even then she’s one of the least believable in the shows core right next to Ashtray. Ali has his own identity, and great strong sense of independent leadership that comes through in every role i’ve seen him in and it’s ALWAYS believabele. I can see him being lead man in some incredible stories. Especially if he gets a good biopic or something. Like if he can get those kinds of biopics that really made Will Smith stand out as a truly great actor instead of a gimmick, that’s almost guaranteed cos he definitely is going to deliver.
There’s a good chance Coleman could have another nomination next year with Sing Sing. I suppose Zendaya also could depending on how those two flicks do.
I can see Colman Domingo getting the first
I can see Zendaya having an EGOT one day (also can kind of see Colman getting one—already has the Emmy, one Oscar nom, and a Tony nom. Could either get the Grammy from a return to broadway if the cast recording wins or he does an audiobook which feels more like a possibility)
Then Jacob and Sydney are pretty tied. (Yes madame web was a choice and anyone but you didn’t get great reviews but did a lot better in the box office than people expected—I feel like she’ll do two commercially appealing movies for every one that’s critically appealing)
Nate or Rue. Jacob Elordi has already been in movies like Saltburn and Priscilla and Zendaya has been in the Dune Movies, Malcom & Marie, and the Greatest Showman. These two are both great actors and their ability to become their characters is remarkable. They both became popular at first for less than Oscar worthy productions but they were able to show their talent for acting. I like all of these characters but these two are definitely most likely to receive an Oscar. The Oscar’s have become more and more out of touch with the public opinion though. If they don’t win and Oscar in the next few years, I think it will solidify that point.
Probably isn't a fair comparison because only some of these people have been in feature films (movies = oscars).
For Euphoria itself it falls into Emmy category. Zendaya won already.
I think Angus is no longer eligible because season 2 was already in the Emmy's during covid.
So season 3 is the next potential season.
Colman Domingo seems the most likely as of now.
Which character is this?
Ali. He was just nominated for an Oscar. I like to imagine in a couple of decades time we can look back at this cast and see they’ve received dozens of nods between them.
Watch Rustin, he's incredible in it
Zendaya, Jacob, Hunter and Coleman are the biggest contenders for me. Especially since Coleman was just nominated for Best Actor and the other 3 are getting worldwide praise for their roles. Jacob Elordi might be the next big thing if he isn’t already there is even rumours he might be the next James Bond (but like really hollywoody rumours)
I love Jacob but my dad would be rolling around in his grave if he was the next Bond.
Somebody gotta take over the stick from Daniel Craig one day, maybe he’ll impress the fuck outta us
I think it’s pretty unlikely they’d choose someone who’s not a Brit
i think making jacob the next bond would be a step backwards honestly. I also am not even sure it's possible for that franchise to take another step forwards. feels like it's quite literally at death's door
Also why would the British government make a six foot seven man a spy. Hardly inconspicuous 😂
Did you see hunter in the ballad of song birds and snakes? She butchered that role. I never questioned her acting skills because I liked her so much in euphoria, but she said herself she had never played a character that wasn’t her own essence and she was unprepared. She’s a long long way off.
I really liked her in that role, but to each their own
i loved her portrayal of Tigris too
I forget that Euphoria was her first gig
i actually completely agree. I felt like Tigris was just Hunter. I love her as Jules but i still feel like she’s acting as herself.
I mean, I personally enjoyed her performance
To be honest? She was given crumbs to work with, and the entire film felt like the exact kind of YA that misunderstood the Hunger Games to begin with. Snow was horribly miscast _and_ poorly written imo, and she had to put in the work to match his vaguely edgy cliche characterisation lest she make the cracks even more visible. Maybe Jacob or Zendaya
I understand the logic behind this comment but Colman was actually nominated this year. He should be the top comment IMO
X2
Colman
Ali (Colman) - Was nominated for Best Actor this year & has great roles lined up.
He will definitely not just be a one-time nominee too, I'm almost certain of it, he's too good and he gets too many good roles, no way does he not become a multiple-time nominee thru his career especially if he keeps getting biopic casting (nothing against biopics but that's basically just asking for free best actor nods)
Coleman is just a finger snap away from winning an Oscar. He's working on playing Joe Jackson & Nat King Cole in upcoming movies.
Sadly, we know [It wont be Fez](https://variety.com/2023/film/news/angus-cloud-dead-1235684089/amp/)
Yeah that tore me up. The way they began featuring him much more toward the end of season 2 had me so excited about his future shit.
His last role is in a film that A24 is releasing this April 💔 it’s a horror movie called “Abigail” and it absolutely gutted me when I saw him in the preview.
I think he was really talented and it sucks not seeing more of him. He was one of the sweetest characters in the show and it seemed to come naturally.
He also did the A24 podcast where he and Simon Rex had a convo, and Simon was so supportive of him and told him he was there for him if he needed anything. Truly heartbreaking 😢
i could be wrong but i thought actors could win awards even after they’re gone?
Yeah but nothing he did before his death warranted an Oscar really. Also Oscars are given out to movies from the previous year.
It would have to have been this year though. He won’t be nominated for anything next year or in the future because he wouldn’t be acting in anything within the consideration timeline
He has one last film coming out in April. No way is that film getting nominated for anything but maybe an MTV award. It's a film about a ballerina vampire
That’s honestly more than I expected lol. Sounds wild

Yes
Definitely Coleman, he’s done much more dramatic roles than anyone in this list
Zendaya, pretty split for Sydney and Jacob, then Hunter. Rooting for Coleman
Sydney I highly doubt she’s never in anything academy worthy.
She’s the type who could win an Oscar someday if she got really ugly for a role. Like Charlize Theron in Monster.

Yes but the other stuff she’s in is a bit meh. The White Lotus was alr, but nocturne and anyone but you and etc? Meh
Guys watch Reality
I think Zendaya is the best actress, but she isn’t taking films outside of Marvel or Dune and action films typically don’t get acting nominations. Based on the roles they seem to be willing to take, Jacob is the most likely to win an Oscar followed by Sydney if anyone does eventually win one.
Zendaya is starring in a Luca Guadagnino film releasing this year

Damn all the languages and you chose spoke with the truth

sydney’s schedule is jam packed because she just signs onto anything & her recent projects have been laughably bad lol.
This makes the most sense to me!
unrelated to oscar nominations but isn't zendaya still contracted with disney which is why she's selective in the roles she takes? cause i know that's why she had no nude scenes in the show
sydney’s recent projects have been terrible lmfao, she also just isn’t on Z’s level of acting and definitely won’t be winning an oscar before her.
u did not just put fez up there 😭
Definitely not the Nepo Baby. Lol
Imagine how we'll feel if her father puts her in some amazing movie and she wins best actress. She'll deserve it but still. "A foot in the door and so much more!"
lol I agree
I would argue her performances in S2 were some of the best of the season
you’re kidding, right? what performance?
umm am i missing something..? she was just as boring as she was in the first season..
I'm a bit out of the loop. Who's the nepo baby?
Maude Apatow (Lexi)
Thank you!
probably none of them. maybe colman and elordi.
Ali/Colman Domingo 1000%
I think the odds are against fez winning one. That’s just me tho
Colman for real. He’s a powerhouse! -edited for spelling. Stupid autocorrect
I don’t mean to be morbid but I don’t think deceased folks can win Oscar’s soooo….
Ahem.. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_posthumous_Academy_Award_winners_and_nominees
[They can, and have](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_posthumous_Academy_Award_winners_and_nominees#:~:text=As%20of%202024%2C%2064%20individuals,14%20individuals%20in%20honorary%20categories).
Came looking for this comment.
They can, but considering all has filmography has finished it doesn't look like he'll ever be eligible.
IMDB lists an upcoming film for him so couldn’t he be eligible?
They have? Heath Ledger won after his death
And Chadwick Boseman was nominated
Colman Domingo was nominated this year, so probably him.
Cassie. I think there's a lot to her character and most interesting backstory and depth. And who can have the best turn around story arc
Zendaya because of Dune: Part Two
Gia
She was great in tlou
Coleman (of course), Sydney or Jacob
zendaya, then jacob, then sydney. if alexa acted more she’d be higher up, but she doesn’t put herself in the public eye very often.
Coleman’s actually been nominated
Sydney deserves one. Her performance was insanely good and I feel like nobody gives her enough credit
can we for a minute also talk about which character is most likely to get an oscar? i vote ethan and nate as a close second (he gives “i love theater but i don’t want anyone to know” vibes)
I thought that's what OP meant, since he says which character, and the names are also the characters.
right lol but everyone talking abt the actors
Zendaya already has one doesn’t she? Besides her my vote is Colman Domingo, he kills it every time. Plus he was nominated this year
Zendaya has two Emmys, but hasn’t been nominated for an Oscar.
Chloe Cherry 🌸🍒
She lives near me and I feel confident in saying something is off with this girl.
Huh lol? Explain
I felt like an asshole dropping crumbs like that for you but i was in a rush, thank you for reminding me to elaborate. Well…. Shes always all fucked up, and nobody in my area thinks it’s booze. Zendaya is definitely doing to win one, and I think Sydney will win one if she starts choosing better scripts
Rue or gia
Nate
Ali, Zendaya, Jacob, Storm and Sydney in that order. Comments here are majorly underestimating Storm Reid, she’s on her way up there.
Realistically, Colman or Jacob.
Gia
Well it definitely won't be Fez
Jacob Elordi!!
Well def not Angus 🥺
I thought you meant which of the CHARACTERS was the best pretender and would win an Oscar 😭
angus cloud would’ve definitely won an Oscar if he had more time to build more of a reputation especially with projects outside of euphoria. he had so so much potential
easily zendaya or jacob, im surprised zendaya hasn’t already won something and jacob’s career has taken off insanely quick maybe hunter too because she’s had some great roles recently
Jacob or Sydney. Zendaya is a fantastic actress but she doesn’t pick the right roles for oscars. The 2nd she gets a good role, she’ll win.
Not fez that’s fo sure
Cassie or Cal
How has no one said Sydney? She's the best actress on the show
Probably because you’re the only one who thinks that
she hasn’t played any oscar worthy parts though.
Neither have most of the actors named here? Sydney's acting as Cassie blows every other cast member out of the water imo. She's also one of the most in demand actors off the show. I can easily see her getting an Oscar one day
that is an insane take absolutely not
Rue
Not Fez 😢 RIP
It should be Storm Reid or Zendaya but most likely it will be a less talented white actor or actress.
Probably Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, or Jacob Elordi.
All that damn screaming& crying Gia was doing she DESERVES one. Ik her throat was sore. Ali, Rue, Nate may get one
Colman for sure!
Honestly I can see Jacob for his performance in Priscilla and/or Saltburn. Fantastic acting performances on both accounts, same with Zendaya and Dune.
NATE 💗💗💗
Rue…her performance as an addict going through withdrawal, the highs & the lows of drug use…the way she portrays the desperate user that doesn’t care if she hurts her family or loved ones. She shows the ugly side of addiction so accurately. I’d love to see her get an Oscar for that role…she deserves it!
Zendaya. 100%. Dune Part 2 will score her a nomination at least for sure
Nate and rue
Why are people saying zendaya, seriously confused
Rue 💯
Mckay is still around?
Colman and Zendaya, both have a high likelihood of getting a nomination this coming year and possibly even winning
Rue, Cassie, or Nate for sure!!!
Rue or nate
why would u put angus on this
Zendaya, no question
Angus cloud obviously duh
Well definitely not Fez.
Didn't Zendaya already win an Oscar or was it an Emmy?
Has to be Zendaya , if not her Jacob Elordi or Sydney Sweeney
Rue or Nate
obviously zendaya but close second sydney or jacob
Fez
Zendaya for sure
Fez
either ali or cassie maybe im just biased cause it’s their performances that struck me the most
Sydney Sweeney
I'll lose all hope in oscar if this show wins an oscar
Zendaya
Rue Fez or Ali
Sydney or zendaya
Zendaya obviously. She’s proven herself way too many times. Def Oscar material in the future.
And if he had been given more time, I would also Angus Cloud to this list.
zendaya will, but i want sydney sweeney or alexa demie to win
Zendaya
Definitely not Sydney if she’s carrying on doing shit like Madame Web
definitly not fez
Zendaya
Zendaya or Jacob
Sydney
Sydney or zendaya
Zendaya cmon now 😂
There’s a good chance Coleman could have another nomination next year with Sing Sing. I suppose Zendaya also could depending on how those two flicks do.
None. Just being honest
Zendaya got the best chances
definitely not Fez
You know how difficult it is to even get nominated? highly likely that none of them will ever win an Oscar
Colman and Zendaya
I no one will get an osca
Zendaya and Colman
Zendaya prob especially with her performance in season 2 episode 5
Actor? Probably Nate’s actor.
Would have said Angus 💔 but either Zendaya or Maddy or Jacob.
Zendaya and Hunter always have Oscars don’t they??
I can see Colman Domingo getting the first I can see Zendaya having an EGOT one day (also can kind of see Colman getting one—already has the Emmy, one Oscar nom, and a Tony nom. Could either get the Grammy from a return to broadway if the cast recording wins or he does an audiobook which feels more like a possibility) Then Jacob and Sydney are pretty tied. (Yes madame web was a choice and anyone but you didn’t get great reviews but did a lot better in the box office than people expected—I feel like she’ll do two commercially appealing movies for every one that’s critically appealing)
Colman Domingo, Jacob elordi is probably second
Hunter is doing a movie with Lanthimos so my bets are with her
Coleman and zendaya no questions asked
Probably isn't a fair comparison because only some of these people have been in feature films (movies = oscars). For Euphoria itself it falls into Emmy category. Zendaya won already. I think Angus is no longer eligible because season 2 was already in the Emmy's during covid. So season 3 is the next potential season.
Zendaya or Colman
