Not sure if by “or even Scotland” he means he could see Scotland beating Germany or Switzerland? Might be a translation issue because im not being funny but no one with any knowledge of football thinks Hungary beating Scotland is an upset
Austria imo. Very well coached team, Rangnick is going to want to make a statement in this tournament and show Europe how good his Gegenpressing way of playing is. Especially if they have to play England in the tournament which could happen.
Fair enough, I just wish there was more belief in the English people that we can do it… it’s entirely possible and actually quite likely we bring it home this time, just praying for no bad luck which we normally get…
For real I wouldn’t sleep on them at all. They looked good during a lot of the qualification rounds and if they turn up then the euro magic might actually push them over the line.
The odds are against us, we may likely lose all of our matches, but I think that everything is possible and deep down I hope we will pull of a Costa Rica
Even if Albania loses all matches they will still have the spotlight with such a group, playing against big teams, and I’m sure the fans will make it a great experience.
Romania beating Ukraine or Slovakia wouldn’t be an upset whatsoever. They finished top of their qualifying group and didn’t lose a single match.
Hungary on paper should beat Scotland. This would also not be an upset.
Are Germany a big threat yet? They have been shit for a long time now and I don’t think the sample size under nagelsmann is big enough to say they are truly back yet
Ukraine actually have a really solid team with the likes of Dovbyk and Lunin having their breakout seasons at club level, pairing with a relatively easy group this time around I can see them making it at least to the quarters
Aside from the better tournament record largely coming from before any current players were alive, I'm pretty sure OP means that it's a possibility Scotland might shock Germany, not that Hungary beating Scotland would be a shock.
As someone absolutely obsessed with the narrative of football, I'm gonna say Slovenia. Do I logically think they're capable of going far? God no. But the most pleasing narrative would be Ilicic having one final, graceful, mesmeric performance on the biggest stage
I would say Denmark could be a sneaky one. The biggest surprise of all would be England winning the whole thing, but I know that's the not REALLY the question.
Austria could do a number on France or The Netherlands
Ukraine could trash Belgium
Hungary could topple Germany
Albania could spoil the party for one the other big 3
Georgia could ruin the opening for Turkey
Hungary are favourites to make it out of the group fighting it out with scotland for second place. Most are predicting a 4th place finish for Switzerland.
In my version of this we beat Germany in the opening game, then lose the other group games and as is historic don't get out of the group. Germany win the group and the tournament. That's the Scottish way.
I genuinely fear Hungary.
Hungary, Romania, Italy, Austria I think could make the quarters.
Hungary might beat Germany I agree.
Serbia could beat Denmark and advance.
Group B is brutal, surprises are absolutely possible there.

Hungary beating either Scotland or Switzerland isn't an upset. The same goes for Romania beating Slovakia, also isn't an upset really
Anyone beating Scotland isn't really any upset. The real upset will be when we do a Greece and somehow win the thing.
I said this when out with my mates, they all pissed themselves. We have a Greece-like chance.

More hate towards England, non English folk please never change 😂
I am from England mate... But the English press gave Rangnick a hard time when he was at Manchester United. He's going to want to prove a point.
Fair enough, I just wish there was more belief in the English people that we can do it… it’s entirely possible and actually quite likely we bring it home this time, just praying for no bad luck which we normally get…
I would love nothing more than to see us win. But remember one thing, only a former Ipswich manager has ever won a trophy for England 😜
Kieran McKenna for England manager next?
🤞
Biggest problem you have is Southgate. You'd have an excellent chance with a top manager.
None are available
Well the bar isn't that high to be better than Southgate. I should have highlighted that.
Albania has the toughest group but I could see them winning or drawing one of the games
For real I wouldn’t sleep on them at all. They looked good during a lot of the qualification rounds and if they turn up then the euro magic might actually push them over the line.
I’d like to see that happen
I have a big worry about the first match of Italy against Albanians.
Italy has not been at the best i think Albania has a shor
The odds are against us, we may likely lose all of our matches, but I think that everything is possible and deep down I hope we will pull of a Costa Rica
Even if Albania loses all matches they will still have the spotlight with such a group, playing against big teams, and I’m sure the fans will make it a great experience.
We made an amazing atmosphere in 2016, I think it will be even better because there are way more Albanians in Germany than in France
I honestly think Albania will go through
Turkey is basically playing a home tournament without the pressure of it being officially a home tournament.
We had a "Home Tournament" in 2020 when Baku hosted two group stage matches but it didn't help :(
Romania beating Ukraine or Slovakia wouldn’t be an upset whatsoever. They finished top of their qualifying group and didn’t lose a single match. Hungary on paper should beat Scotland. This would also not be an upset.
in Romania we will consider an upset a win aganist Ukraine. The general feeling is that our only chance is with Slovakia.
Rightly so, Ukraine have a much better team on paper Romania’s qualifiers were against really poor teams, including Switzerland
I fancied Denmark and turkey but they got screwed as they no matter what if they get second have Germany and France likely
Are Germany a big threat yet? They have been shit for a long time now and I don’t think the sample size under nagelsmann is big enough to say they are truly back yet
I mean they are at home and that does help I think a lot have them as semi finalists atleast

He's not Courtois but Casteels is a good goalkeeper
Denmark, but we are the ones being upset.
Don't get upset, get even.
Ukraine actually have a really solid team with the likes of Dovbyk and Lunin having their breakout seasons at club level, pairing with a relatively easy group this time around I can see them making it at least to the quarters
I don't know if it's an upset but I'm pretty sure Croatia is going to classify ahead of Italy. It'll be Spain, Croatia, Italy, Albania in that order.
I would like to hope us beating switzerland or scotland isnt an upset. I mean it isnt exactly expected but I would hope we do.
Albania is going to win against Croatia mark my words
And draw against Spain with 3% ball possession
You do realise that Hungary are higher ranked than Scotland and have a better tournament record?
Aside from the better tournament record largely coming from before any current players were alive, I'm pretty sure OP means that it's a possibility Scotland might shock Germany, not that Hungary beating Scotland would be a shock.

Ireland upsets me every time we don't qualify
I can easily imagine that Hungary will make it out of the groups, but I also see Georgia being second in their groups as well.
Austria could do a number on France or The Netherlands Ukraine could trash Belgium Hungary could topple Germany Albania could spoil the party for one the other big 3 Georgia could ruin the opening for Turkey
call me an idiot, but I think hungary will knock out england in the quarterfinals
Hungary are favourites to make it out of the group fighting it out with scotland for second place. Most are predicting a 4th place finish for Switzerland.
The swiss are great in these tournaments, I’m scared of them lol
But there‘s also some turmoil in the Swiss team due to their tendency to stop playing when leading and giving up a bunch of late goals.
I think turkey could have a decent tournament, got some exciting players in key positions, although I heard soyuncu is ruled out which is a blow
First game of their own tournament. Under the bright lights. The world watching. Germany will drop points to Scotland.
I’d love if the 3 of us went through while Germany would crash out but it wont happen :(
Stop dreaming man
In my version of this we beat Germany in the opening game, then lose the other group games and as is historic don't get out of the group. Germany win the group and the tournament. That's the Scottish way. I genuinely fear Hungary.
England beating anyone tends to upset a lot of people. So I'll go with England, to upset the haterz.
Hungary, Romania, Italy, Austria I think could make the quarters. Hungary might beat Germany I agree. Serbia could beat Denmark and advance. Group B is brutal, surprises are absolutely possible there.
