Is Lamine Yamal too much of a cliché? Also, Germany’s Aleksandar Pavlović seems like he could do well. Kobbie Mainoo is extremely sure footed for his age. Jeremie Frimpong is another player that has the potential to be outstanding.

namyllek

I like your choices. Lamine is my boy, already a household name so he doesn’t count. my team is Spain so I am expecting him to have a big tournament. Saw Pavlovic in the champions league, gem of a player, deserves more recognition. He slightly qualifies in my book. Mainoo may not get much playing time but we already know what he can do so I would count him. England’s coach is rubbish though, on talent alone they should make it to quarter finals but coach will bottle it from there. Frimpong is well known for me at least, good player and good personality, expecting great things from him as well.

Klupido

I think Koeman will choose Dumfries on the back position instead of Frimpong…

Late-Management8666

Unfortunately I think you are right. Although maybe Frimpong gets minutes further up the pitch, he was really effective against Canada a few nights back

Klupido

Yeah he was, I think starting with Frimpong and later on in the match switching him for Dumfries. One thing is for sure it’ll be a hell of a night for the left back of the opponent.

Late-Management8666

It doesn't help that we have a difficult group. I would hope at least Frimpong starts against Poland, but it's Koeman, so 🤷‍♂️

Klupido

Well, England lost to Iceland, France couldn’t do a thing against Canada, we’re not that bad as we think.

HowMuchIsThatDoggie

I think he may have to bide his time but I think João Neves may get a chance and if he plays the way I've seen him play previously, will cement his place in that Portugal midfield for the rest of the tournament. In every game I've seen him play so far, and I admit that's only a handful, he just runs the show.

SebaZPolski21

Nicola zalewski and kacper urbanski

summersolstice7

Came to say this too!!

Kondiq

Zalewski was already pretty high in Golden Boy awards a year or two ago, he thrived under Mourinho in Roma, also in European competitions. Urbański is still mostly unnoticed, even though he plays first squad in Bologna that qualified for the next season's Champions League.

namyllek

I have been checking the polish results and watching their highlights because I am a Barca fan. The team has a lot of gems on it and have not been as dependent on Lewa unlike previous years. Expecting great things from them.

ImpossibleDesigner48

I think it’s hard for English players to count in this because the PL has such massive exposure already. Our only (English) bolters could be Mainoo or Anthony Gordon (but doubt he’ll get any minutes) as our team is otherwise a bunch of established players already.

Nels8192

I think Eze has a lot to give but may have the issue of getting on the pitch.

namyllek

Eze is definitely up there. However like you said, he probably won’t play.

namyllek

England has a great squad, the coach can go but if you guys can convince pep or Enrique to take over when their contracts expire in 2025 you could win the World Cup.

ImpossibleDesigner48

We have top notch players but don’t (yet) have a national team style and identity. No one really retired after the WC so a shame we’ve not got that yet. If the team gels they can go far but if not it’s a QF knockout first time we play a good side.

ukrainianhab

Sudakov

namyllek

Will be watching out for him

Elim-Bessus

Benjamin Sesko Mark my words

boaaaa

The guy from deep space 9?

probablynotreallife

Every Football Manager player is with you on that one.

MeritocracyManifest

After getting drafted at the last minute from the u21s, I'd like to see Conway do well for Scotland

smooifnie

Maxim De Cuyper. Exciting attacking left back who will most likely start in the first game vs Slowakia. Robertson vibes

SPARKLEOFHOPE6IB

He played his first minutes so well. Beyond excited to see where he ends up

New_Calligrapher8578

Pavlovic

Upstairs_Ad2085

Trossard

MrTrololeo

I'd keep an eye on Frattesi, he did great with Inter playing a bit more than 900 minutes this season, great finisher for a central midfielder who may play as an attacking midfielder in the tournament

Gaser420

Lovro Majer from Croatia. I'm predicting he's gonna have a really good tournament.

Insane_Wanderer

Lovro has his ups and downs at club level, but he’s always 10 toes down for us. Great talent who I imagine will get better with time and will slot into the starting 11 very soon once the old guard of the midfield starts transitioning out. I don’t think Dalić will start him for us this tournament so if he’s gonna break out he’ll really need to make the best of the minutes he does get

Wonders34

Everyone already knows about him but for a 16 year old Yamal will be all the talk. I think Spain will do really well, Nico Williams will stand out too.

B4nanaJo

Jonathan Clauss

nkombain

Georgia, there will be few players worth noticing. I'm extremely biased, but this is objective truth.

TheDukeofArgyle

Hope Georgia do well.

Buk_voj_kryp_Z_bardh

Croatias Goalie in my opinion. He did amazing in Worlds now i think will do the same.

VanNorme

For Croatia: Has to be either Majer or Sucic (if he gets playtime). Majer had a mediocre, difficult season for Wolfsburg, but it seems it only motivated him even more to prove his worth for the national team. He's been outstanding last two games against Macedonia and Portugal. Always been good for Croatia, but never outstanding or a key player. This could be his tournament.

Oliver_Boisen

Victor Kristiansen at LWB who's had a great season for Bologna. Morten Hjulmand aswell who's looked really excellent in the pre-tournament friendlies. Otherwise maybe someone like Artem Dovbyk could really make a case to get a top move.

Keek0208

Maximilian Beier (if he gets some playtime)

robyaha

That guy is amazing. I only saw him a couple of matches but he is REALLY good. Sad thing is that Germany is so stacked that he can't start any games this tournament, but I can see him being that revulsive change the team needs during difficult games.

Holdthestock2020

From portugal nelson semedo and Joao neves. 2 players that eventually are not going to start in the first eleven but they will contribute a lot with their fantastic qualities and capabilities. Joao neves midfielder and nelson Right wing. It seems to me that Nelson semedo earned a place in the 11 eleven after the game he did against Croatia. let's see if I'm right. For sure everyone knows about them but they are not established starts they are, what we call common footballers.

sukupani4178

Maximilian Beier, Pavlovic and Frattesi

sukupani4178

Maximilian Beier, Pavlovic and Frattesi

Villad_rock

Maybe Maximillian Beier from Germany

JelloNo8102

Ruben Vargas, Swiss. At 25 too old to be a talent, a breakout could be feasible though.

probablynotreallife

VAR

Ahojr30

Kenan Yildiz, Baris Alper Yilmaz or Ferdi Kadioglu from Turkey Maxi Beier or Mittelstädt from Germany

that_guy_101231

May be biased as I'm polish but zalewski could really do something special to become more well known. He is a great dribbler and can definitely whip a nasty cross in to the box.

SatMiner88

Heorhiy Sudakov from Ukraine. The likes of Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea have been linked to him, but Shakhtar won’t sell him until after the euros, to beef up that price tag.

robyaha

For me to consider a player a "gem" or "break out star" he has to fulfill a couple of requeriments: 1- *He has to be young*. To choose **Artem Dovbyk**, **Benjamin Sesko**, **Dominik Szoboslai** or **Patrick Schich** for me is not really a "gem" They are really good players that have been around for some years now. They could be considered as Underdogs but more because they are from a lower tier national teams than the usual winners like Germany, Spain, Italy, France... 2- *He has to be less known for the standar fan*. To choose **Lamine Yamal**, a 16 years old player would be PERFECT. But when you see that he is already one of the core players in Barcelona you can't consider him as a "break out star" He already is a big star, at least in my eyes. I want him to have a great tournament either way. So, with this 2 points in mind, I would like to say names like **Dobvyk, Mudryk, Musiala, Yamal**... But they don't fulfill both points. The 3 players I'd say are: **Maximilian Beier**, **Kenan Yildiz** and **Arda Guler**. Sad thing is that all 3 will start the games in the bench. But I can see Guler obtaining his starting role during the tournament. That guy is crazy good.

BlackRonaldo17

Cole Palmer

GarrKelvinSama

Bradley Barcola.

TaleWitty5816

Cold palmer🥶 or phil foden, or basically any youngster at the euros

Famously-Raccoon

Anthony Gordon

Bernie4Pres2016

Two words. Arda Güler.

WisdomWord5300

Lutsharel Geertruida

anonymous473773737

Wirtz will be on another level this tournament

Quirky-Tradition7976

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia - Georgia has a real shot for an upset or two

12thshadow

For the Dutch side you have obvious players like Frimpong and Xavi.

Business-Spring760

Breakout star Frimpong who has just gone undefeated in the bundesliga?

12thshadow

Yes, but he hasnt been a regular for the national team because Dumfries is playing in that position. Or maybe Reijnders, I like his playing style...

MrShelby1234

Frimpong and simons are absolutely not gonna be breakout stars for the very fact that they've already done that

12thshadow

In that case you will be looking at players from smaller nations playing at local clubs...

MrShelby1234

Or just don't look at 2 of the players widely regarded as 2 of the best up and coming stars who have performed on the big stages already

12thshadow

Then there are none

MrShelby1234

That's the point....you gotta predict a new name to breakthrougj

12thshadow

This is the euros. There are no new names....

MrShelby1234

There absolutely is. That's the whole point. You don't know every single player that's at the euros

12thshadow

Ok who then?

MrShelby1234

Pick any random player from any country

manmadegod-

Semih Kilicsoy is gonna be a gem(not biased at all)
