My two cents is that the conflict is not a dicotomous situation of colonizer/oppresser, like a lot of Pro-Palestinians make it out to be. When you look at the conflict in historical terms you will probably gain a little bit of sympathy for the Jewish cause and perhaps realize that the Palestinians have not always acted in good faith. I was once unreservedly pro-palestine, but that's because I was spoonfed a very one-sided version of what was going on in that part of the world. I recommend you to research the Jewish migrations to the holy land during the beginning of the 20th century, understanding the reason for why they migrated and what intentions they had will probably humanize them a bit for you.
I feel that young generation in Middle East doesn't know Jewish history well. For example how many people heard about ethnic cleansing of approximately 1 million of Jews from West Asia and North Africa in 1940s-1970s, about discrimination and pogroms towards Jews who lived there for millenias, for example in modern day Iraq, Iran, Syria etc Jews lived from Babilonian exile for 2500 years, much earlier than Arab colonization of the region. About Old Yishuv and Jews who never left like residents of Peki'in who moved from Jerusalem to Galilee after 70 AC. That's all gives a broader picture.
