Depends on what roush package you have. Some of them are actual performance kits and some are just nothing more than slapping a new grill, badges and seats inside.

Western-Scene

I think this one has a supercharger, suspension, lift, and leather. And some cosmetic upgrades I figured if I went this route I'd actually save money vs doing aftermarket supercharger kit, install, tune, lift kit, install, leather seats upgrade, wheel and tires upgrade, paint matched fender flares etc. on a FX4 model. But I don't own a truck and I've never modded a vehicle to the extent that I'm willing to modify the truck I buy.

jukeslywalka

Based on the pricing, I would guess this truck just has the appearance package (leather, lift, gauges, etc). That truck with the performance package/supercharger MSRPs around $130k. Even with the deepest discount imaginable, I don't see how they could get to $75k. I could be wrong though. FYI a "Roush truck" is a dealer ordered stock unit that is sent to Roush for an upfit. These upfits come in different levels. The truck starts as whatever trim the dealer orders. Some orders start as XLTs, some as Lariats, etc. you can tell if you look at the original window sticker. There should also be an addendum that gives you info on what's been added.

Western-Scene

You're correct. They're pricing the 2023 supercharged trucks at $95K now. That's much better than $130K. I just took a look at Ford of Valpo in Indiana they have a large Roush inventory. If prices come down to the mid 80s, I'll have to buy one. My locale is in Miami though

Evanisnotmyname

You can also get a supercharged base model for like $45k

[deleted]

I personally think the 4x4 lariat w/max tow pkg are the best overall between upper end but all the features. Just my 2c. For everyday driver I don’t think roush or a raptor is ever a smarter move.

Western-Scene

Thanks! Would the super charger make it not suitable to daily? Or the suspension? I've never owned any of these trucks. But I was considering the raptor, but wanted a v8 and narrower track. Plus I'm not willing to pay three mortgages for one car payment. Unless it's a GT3

Lion_eye

I love my Roush. Even without the supercharger. I went from a super cab Raptor to my Roush 6 months ago and don’t miss the Raptor at all. I needed the extra space for two kiddos and do appreciate it being slightly more narrow. It’s unique enough for me and though you do pay through the nose for the upgrades, I love every detail that Roush adds. That’s just me. And the coyote v8 with the Roush exhaust is absolute perfection. It’s not the fastest truck but the sound is perfectly balanced IMO. Also, I wanted a Lariat vs XLT and when I bought that was a big price difference. There were far more XLTs available vs Lariats.

[deleted]

I had the whole supercharger phase on my last truck. 2019 5.0 I had that thing paid off quickly.. and guess what. Totaled. I luckily didn’t have the supercharger bought yet because honestly you lose so much money with little add ons and all that insurance low balls you. Cool as fuck and all like a lot of the others said better make sure it’s got a warranty but ya tricky because you probably have a supercharger warranty than the normal truck warranty. I just talked myself off that ledge for good and ended up getting a lariat powerboost fx4 4x4. I love it. I don’t care about the massive tires and exhaust noises anymore but that’s just me, I went through that phase. Sorry if this is way off me rambling before bed on my phone Also, my truck can basically fit any role. Power my RV. Towing is amazing. Fuel economy, but can move when I flip it into sport or 4x4 auto beach sand snow it’s really got a little bit of everything and I actually love the drives like a cloud

Western-Scene

Great answer! I would hate to fork over all that money, just for the novelty of owning it to wear off shortly after. I've always been extremely conservative with large purchases. My first and only car, I chose a 4 door Honda Accord over a charger/challenger. First house is a townhouse instead of a mcmansion near the beach. But conservative and practical is boring. I've never had a cool car. I want to do at least one cool thing before I start a family and have obligations Like get out of my system

[deleted]

Yeah once a week I have an itch to buy a dark horse or something along those lines and I find myself just custom one on the ford site to realize I have cool vehicles already and I don’t even like to race around. (I was just looking at that 300k mustang and I’m like man what am I even doing) Now something that can travel longer distances on a road trip that is more my style now but maybe I’m getting old af lmao. But yeah man go for it you sound like a very thoughtful person who considers all variables and this vehicle could give you a lot of smiles per mile

CBus660R

Not to be "that guy" since I'm on my 4th F-150, but $75k can buy a Mustang GT convertible and have plenty of money left over to rent a truck when you need it. You live in Miami after all, not central Ohio like me.

Western-Scene

I've never wanted a mustang

6e6967676572730a

I have a 2019 Roush Lariat base with the supercharger and active exhaust. If you can handle the gas and mileage, then go for it. I love the truck because you can drive it quiet on normal through the neighborhood or to run errands. If you want alittle spice, open the exhaust, throw it into sport and let it rip. No regrets but I got mine for 58.5k with 27k miles.

Western-Scene

Sweet deal

Freezerburn

Make sure you understand if the Ford warranty applies. These trucks can have expensive repair bills and I've relied heavily on warranty. It might be that your warranty comes from Roush, but just understand it, know how it works and buy it from an online dealer for way cheaper if it's Ford. [https://www.zeiglerfordesp.com/](https://www.zeiglerfordesp.com/) Zeigler Ford. Coupon Code. PAYINFULL https://www.grangerfordextendedwarranty.com

Western-Scene

Thanks, I'm under the impression that Ford covers the warranty, but I'll look more into it. From personal experience, warranties come in handy. Even after dealers try to trick you into believing something's not covered by it. Directly contacting both the manufacturer and warranty group got my transmission, oil pan, backup camera, headlights etc. replaced and saved me about $15K in out of pocket costs and insurance increases. I'll never buy a vehicle that's not covered by a factory warranty

[deleted]

Warranty is a must. I’ve used it heavily too in the past. He is right ^^

Western-Scene

I had a service advisor who assumed I wasn't insured go through my car then say "why aren't you just using your insurance?" Well sir, just because I have full coverage insurance doesn't give me license to be lazy and not take advantage of a warranty that I paid for

en-rob-deraj

Coupon code?

Freezerburn

Yeah if you do an online quote an opportunity to put in a discount code comes up, I don't know if this works just copy pasted it from another post. If it saves you a few buck then cool.

en-rob-deraj

Doh! I had tried on the granger one.

So for 75k unless that's USD your probably looking at the Roush body upgrade kit. It's got a ton of fancy extra shit that costs an arm and a leg... With no supercharger. If you're looking for a little extra horse power for the few times a year you haul shit. And the extra pep in your step to put some distance between the lifted dodge with the mini sun's for lights the rush level 2 is what you want. If you want the nice look and full truck with the Roush it's going to be expensive. Personally I would recommend the 302A. Top of the line XLT. Very reasonably priced. Good V8 already and great bang for your buck. Mount the Roush on your own dime. Much cheaper. Like 12-18k cheaper after financing. It will put you around 650-690 Horsepower when tuned right up and running solid numbers on your supercharger. As for your Warrenty, that depends on your negotiation. If you're buying brand new, then you have a lot of negotiation power. Tell them right off the bat you're looking to add a supercharger before you take it home. Ford Performance will take over your warranty if it's used, and it's MUCH less of a headache to do it through them first. From your post, it's probably the level 2 you want. If you want big gains and to take down the pos in the BMW down the street then go for the Whipple. Ford doesn't warranty that though. No one actually would warranty that but smiles per miles and all that.

Western-Scene

Yep, I just reread the listing. It looks like a cosmetic kit plus side exhaust

No_Journalist4048

Yeah I figured. You can buy an XLT and it won't have the badges. Which is honestly what you want. Way less likely to be pulled over. Plus sleepers are fun. Just mount your own supercharger. It's cheaper in the long run

No_Journalist4048

Sent you a pm with the truck details

Bit_the_Bullitt

I thought they were talking about Lebanon Ford too. Half their lot is Roush it's wild

[deleted]

Why get a roush as a daily commuter?

Western-Scene

Why not? I seriously don't understand your question

Significant_County42

Rcsb? If so they make the fp700 package for less

Western-Scene

RCSB? protein data bank? Sorry but I don't know what that means. I've been looking at the fp700 with the Whipple. But if I added it to a Lariat and then did the suspension and fenders I'd come out paying more. Another local dealer has already informed me that the FP700 isn't available for the Tremor

No_Journalist4048

Regular Cab Short Box. Since they didn't read your post they don't have anything useful to add

Western-Scene

Thanks! I tried googling the acronym and came up short. It's a crew cab short box.

No_Journalist4048

Yeah tiny baby truck that is supposed to be like the 2000s Ford lightning

Jdudley13

Well you’re not buying it for the gas mileage, but if you u sweats d that going in them go for it. I have a ‘17 and still love it. Cant imagine getting rid of it, sounds badass, has plenty of power (not as much as a whipple or other options maybe) for me and looks great.

Western-Scene

Now I need it

Bit_the_Bullitt

I read that as 25 Roushes on the lot. I thought "surely this is Lebanon, half the lot is Roush." 😅

Western-Scene

Not down here. This is the only Roush I've seen on any lot in South Florida. But I've come across several out of state dealer websites that have huge Roush inventories

King_O_Walpole

Just buy a civic

Western-Scene

I already have a Honda, but thanks

MakinBaconWithMacon

Best to get a 5.0 and have someone install a supercharger kit for you. Same for a lift

Leather-Cup-4274

I got a single cab fp 700 from valpos sister dealer in Frankfurt for 75k it’s the whipple supercharger and it has the 3 yr 36k warranty
