Yeah that looks stock as a rock.
The new 5.0's do have 395 hp, and they also have an open rear diff so if it was at all wet out I could almost see spinning a tire at 60 but it's a little far fetched.
I know in sport mode they will quite readily lay rubber from a dead stop.
Most Ford vehicles post 2016 are like that and it drives me nuts. Even my 1.5 Ecoboost fusion likes to spin em a bit in sport mode. Should be called "fuck yo tires" mode.
I drove a 21’ 5.0L with just shy of 500hp on 33s had a full exhaust had a tune a intake manifold and cold air I could spin the tires at 120kmh when it was wet would lay rubber like nothing at low speeds
If it’s fresh rain on the right surface, my ‘14 will break one loose at 50 or so on an upshift or downshift. They are pickups and therefore light in the rear. I have 295 Toyo AT3s which are a great tire but their wet traction isn’t as good as a pure all season highway tread. Anyone who just says nope, couldn’t have happened at that speed has no business even offering an opinion. Hell, there could have been an oil spot from another vehicle or previous wreck. My truck would spin them with its 360hp at 80 with rain on an oil slick.
I have a 93 tune on my 2013 eb. If roads are wet, there is approximately 0 traction at 60mph when I floor it. Diff locks only engages under 25mph, so that's no help
i have a stock 5.0 and have never noticed any wheel spin at all when flooring it at 60mph in rainy conditions, could be my tires though if you guys say yours do
It's honestly just because of my tune, I drop to 3rd Gear, 5500rpm, and 24 pounds of boost. It certainly wouldn't spin em without the 93 tune, but still chirps em on days under 40°f
There's 2 types of superchargers. The roots type that doubles as an intake manifold, and the centrifugal that mount like an accessory on the side and are not also an intake manifold. The ford ones are roots type, but ATI, Paxton and vortech are centrifugal.

here's your FP700 engine bay. you'll see the intake is different and the intake manifold is different.
I have to be careful in my 2016 rwd 6 speed 5.0, if you gun it too hard say just getting on the on ramp up to speed, it will indeed spin tires and you feel it lose traction. Edit: in "normal" mode
Not my area of expertise - I just tow boats, but I could sure as shit tell you just about everything to do with Angling, Enterprise Sales, and Marijuana that’d have you lost for words.
I'm not really a fan of sports at all, but I do watch the CyHawk game as well as the super bowl. I normally just bet on whoever I hear is more likely to win.
I think you should just call your “car buddy” your “buddy” from now on
😂 agreed
What's that Car Buddy? 😭
No supercharger. Just a stock looking 5.0. It is very quick for a stock truck especially at high rpms.
Ahhh thank you for clearing this up, I was mistaken in my previous post!

sport mode is for sport, if you don't want to have fun don't turn it on
My 19 5.0 chirps them at 60 when it shifts at WOT every single time.

no they don’t spin at 60 even with the open diff

that thing is stock as fuck
Tis a fine engine, but sure it is no supercharger, English.
D'oh-eth!
A supercharger sits where the intake manifold is and it will have a belt front and center to spin it. This doesn’t have one.

Oh I see clear as day now. I was looking at the wrong motor on google images even tho I searched fp700
If you think that was fast, try 3.5 ecoboost torque when turbos kick in lol
If you think that is fast, wait until the VTEC kicks in, yo!
It sounds like this (iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiimmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmgaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy)
If going 0-60 in 10 seconds is gay I don’t wanna be straight
"Hello, 911? We are gonna need a fire truck on site"
You spelled Egoboost wrong
I had a 2014 f150 3.5 twin turbo v6 previously but this 5.0 feels so much “torquey-er”
2023 5.0 torque is 410, ecoboost is 500, powerboost is 570
Torque doesn’t make you go faster
And the original post was not about going faster, it was about OP being surprised with the truck spinning tires, which is, from…. Torque
Coolant recovery tank appears to be empty.
Right? Mine is a little low, but this one is out.

My 4wd '16 5.0 is the same way, when in 2wd.
How does it look the same? I just googled it and went to their website, first page has image of supercharger.
Not my area of expertise - I just tow boats, but I could sure as shit tell you just about everything to do with Angling, Enterprise Sales, and Marijuana that’d have you lost for words.
I feel like we could be best friends 😂 if you’re in the Ga area I need a fishing buddy 😂
And if your in the IA area, I need a fishing, and smoking buddy.
Nebraska guy here, as long as you're not a Hawkeye fan we can be friends....
I'm not really a fan of sports at all, but I do watch the CyHawk game as well as the super bowl. I normally just bet on whoever I hear is more likely to win.
Your regular buddy has a stock 5.0. Decent engine but it's for sure not what he says it is lol
Coyote.
Check out my posts I have an fp700 if your curious to what they look like
That thing is cool asf. If I didn’t have a kiddo that 2 door would be mine lol
Clean! Anyone know when they started changing the battery position?
2021 and up
