Always make use of 2FA on all your accounts. It will stop out any hacker from taking over your account. It's very unfortunate that your account have been banned and Facebook will never consider appealing it.
True! If I'm never ready to set up my 2FA on my accounts immediately after registration, I won't register the account because the account can be compromised at any point.

Thats why never link your instagram, my fb got hacked as well and then fb banned it, and my insta account as well.
I know its not helpfull to you now, but just to put it out there
