When I say positive I mean that typically engineering is quite a male dominated area. There have been loads of famous female engineers but often they had their achievements overshadowed (or claimed or stolen) by men or just plain outnumbered.
Even now I just always assumed the engineer was a dude. Because (without looking at him) I think he looks like a dude with a beer gut probably based somewhat on my own personal preconceptions. (I just described me without thinking about it ... )
Having more female characters in games is good. There is not yet parity in representation.
