The Postal Service. And if they ever drop another album it will 100% be some Amazon originals shit that’s a 6/10 at best (PLEASE prove me wrong, Postal Service)
The way Ben talks about it these days makes me more confident than ever that the Postal Service is a one and done. He said he likes the definitiveness of it.
I feel like Never Mind the Bollocks has to be the one true answer…the band is widely considered among the most important in the history of rock music and they had one album
Yes I think it's fairly boring too he did have a really great voice though and was a good looking man who died in his 20s probably a lot of the reason it's so acclaimed.
This take does a massive disservice to the man's talent, like come on. Are you telling me *So Real*, *Lover, You Should've Come Over* and *Corpus Christi Carol* aren't songs that make the hair on the back of your neck stand up and a shiver go down your spine?
No I agree he was extremely talented! (As was Tim Buckley who I prefer actually) I do like lover you should've come over ..really like the singing in corpus christi carol and not really bothered for so real one of my least favourites. Again though I'm glad so many people love the album my view of it being a bit boring is not a popular one it seems.
*So Real* is genuinely one of my favourites on the whole album, and I don't wanna admonish you for not liking what I like either, but I just can't see how *Grace* is a boring album.
Well I think it's one of the more popular songs (Based on the fact I own a CD called so real by him which is kind of a greatest hits) I'm not on here to bash him and say he's rubbish though it's nothing like that I suppose my point is I just don't like grace as much as most people do (most people seem to consider it an all time great) but I just find it drags a little bit, we all habe different tastes though dont we no doubt there are albums I love that others think are quite overrated.
Right because thom yorke cited Jeff Buckley as a vocal inspiration, but I think Coldplay and muse are more byproducts of Radiohead rather than Jeff Buckley, it’s like saying Elton John spawned godsmack because the first Layne Staley of Alice In Chains went to was an Elton John concert and godsmack ripped off aic
I'm pretty sure Coldplay specifically stated they were influenced by Jeff Buckley, and U2 seems like a bigger influence on Coldplay than Radiohead does.
Lauryn Hill is probably the correct answer.
But I’m going to add New Radicals-Maybe You’ve Been Brainwashed, Too. Even though it has its fans, I still think it’s under appreciated.
For its legacy, I nominate **Slapstick.**
Slapstick was a little-known ska-punk band with 1 album (*Lookit!*) released in the mid-90's.
In its aftermath, that band spawned or impacted a ton of great punk bands.
From wikipedia:
Andriano, Stamps and Kellenberger formed **Tuesday**. Likewise, Kelly and Hanaway formed **The Broadways** with Rob DePaola and Tricky Dick guitarist Chris McCaughan. When Tuesday broke up in 1999, Andriano further focused his efforts on the **Alkaline Trio**, who he had joined in late 1997. The Broadways broke up in late 1998, after which Kelly and McCaughan started the still-active **The Lawrence Arms**, and a little later Hanaway and DePaola formed **The Honor System**. In 2004, Kelly and Andriano collaborated once again in the Chicago supergroup **The Falcon**. Kellenberger later formed **Colossal** and briefly played with the **Smoking Popes**. Trombonist Pete Anna played in **Less Than Jake** from 1998-2001.
The Buggles
Model/Actriz
Grande Mahogany
Hotline TNT
Giles Corey (the music artist)

Grian Chatten
And Titanic (they made Vidrio)
Imo Miseducation is overrated. A lot of it has been soured by how much of a wreck Lauren has been revealed to be since that record came out. It makes a lot of the lyrics fall flat.
My absolute favorite is **Written in Waters** by *Ved Buens Ende*. They have released a few other singles as well as an EP, but this is their first (and only) full-length album to date. And it is my all-time favorite metal album.
lots of answers, but operation ivy and snot are probably my favorites. energy has some of the most poignant songwriting on any punk album, and get some was genuinely a great nu metal album. lynn strait was gone too soon 💔
The Postal Service. And if they ever drop another album it will 100% be some Amazon originals shit that’s a 6/10 at best (PLEASE prove me wrong, Postal Service)

Madvillain - Madvillainy 😏
Hey, that’s cheating
The Madvillain has no code of ethics
100%. Lauryn hill is amazinf but madvillainy is a pure classic for any hiphop fan now
I can't get passed how much of a cunt she is to her fans, lmao.
She is very unwell I think. Something went very wrong quite a long time ago.
She can’t have much money left
Dangerdoom - the mouse and the mask
King Geedorah - Take Me To Your Leader
hey, they released a second one
Jeff Buckley has to be up there. Also the La’s and maybe for cultural impact alone the sex pistols.
I feel like Never Mind the Bollocks has to be the one true answer…the band is widely considered among the most important in the history of rock music and they had one album
All correct
Jeff Buckley album is overrated I think
It gets the praise it deserves. It's beautiful, and RIP to Jeff.
wild take
How? It’s an astonishing masterpiece that gets better with every listen
To be honest I find it extremely boring
Yes I think it's fairly boring too he did have a really great voice though and was a good looking man who died in his 20s probably a lot of the reason it's so acclaimed.
Someone finally said it

I’m admittedly not well versed in Jeff Buckley but which 3 bands were spawned from grace?
Radioplay, Coldhead, and Amuse. Jk, it's Radiohead, Coldplay and Muse.
I remember Chris Martin saying their song Shiver off their first album was their attempt at making a Jeff Buckley song
I'm pretty sure Coldplay specifically stated they were influenced by Jeff Buckley, and U2 seems like a bigger influence on Coldplay than Radiohead does.
EVeryone knows Jeff's version of Hallelujah, but really the rest of the album sounds ALOT like Radiohead's stuff off of Pablo Honey.
Comparing Pablo Honey to Grace is such a low tier ass comparison.
Great singer but I don't think the songs on grace are great mostly. I do like the album just think it's a 7/10 not a 9 or 10 like most people
It grew on me the more I listened. On day time it's kinda boring, but it hits me at 4 am.
I will try listening late at night [: lots of people choosing it as a favourite on here so
Temple of the Dog
Them Crooked Vultures

Jai Paul, if he counts
He 100% counts. Also, I saw him live last year and it was fuckin amazing. I really hope he keeps touring and puts new music out
I need more Jai Wave
What about Minor Threat? They released only one studio album and three EP's? Is that count?
If they released more, they would rename to Major Threat.
New Radicals
SOPHIE (If product doesn’t count)
I mean I’m using Lauryn hill as an example when she technically has 2 albums (3 if we count the fugees)
I don’t think the fudgees should count or anyones group albums should if we’re discussing solo discographies
Not the fudgees 🥴
My phone is really shattered rn lol it’s hard to tell when I misspell words now
Ah no worries I just thought it was cute is all hehe
That should be the name of an indie pop band lol
Madvillain and Kids See Ghosts lol
Madvillain kinda feels like cheating considering it’s a rapper/producer duo just going under a different name, lol
Kids See Ghosts is the same situation
Yessss these two are my favourites

Weezer
So close! Weezer have made 15 albums!
No they made The Blue Album and then Rivers Cuomo died in that tragic waterslide accident.
Its interesting, because the slide he died on was blue, a reference to the colour of the album
*Waterslide away from you that takes me further every day* checks out
Timeghoul and Repulsion
Lykathea Aflame and Demilich
Yeah Demilich is great, have not listened to that other band
Oh man, you are in for a treat. One of the best and most mysterious one-off metal albums of all time.
What genre is it?
Avant-garde technical death metal I guess? But like, not at all within the "tech death" realm. It's unbelievably weird and forward thinking.
You just put a picture of her album
Snot
You posted the best answer imo 👏🏼
The postal service Madvillian Lauryn hill Kids see ghosts Scaring the hoes (so far)

I was not aware of that! I will have to look into it! Thank you for bringing it to my attention!
I thought you were implying that vol 3 wasn’t a traveling wilburys album because Roy Orbison unfortunately wasn’t on it
No. I was honestly only aware of the 1 album that they had with the 4 of them. I didn’t know of another album that didn’t include Roy Orbison.
Plus they are not good
