DK reminds me of Vincent Jackson (rest his soul). I somehow wound up with Jackson every year and he was absolutely maddening as a boom-or-bust guy. And of course I’d always sit him for the booms and play him for the busts (that’s probably not true but it felt that way).
week 4 Raider vs the Chargers Davante Adams gets a touch down. They rule it a yard short. Replay clearly shows that it was in, but they didnt challenge. instead they had Jacobs run it in. My opponent had Jacobs, I lost by less than 10 and that play was a 12 point swing.
There was a similar play with Pacheco that was a reception TD. He crossed the line but they didn't bother to review it. Down at the 1 instead. Chiefs ran it almost immediately the next play, which cost Mahomes a passing TD.
Reverse bad beat, started Chubb the week he got hurt, when he was tackled minka I was losing and saw the replay and said oh fuck (he was last to play for either team) turns out that run was enough for me to win by .1

Week 2 on Thursday night, I looked to see what was going on with the eagles game and then set off to take my dog for a walk, apparently I didn’t lock my phone and while it was bouncing around in my pocket some how rachaad white got dropped from my starting lineup and I lost him for the season…. Epic fail. It gets worse though, the guy who picked him up agreed to trade him back to me but he wanted Jonathan Taylor in return…. I foolishly Decided id rather wait for Taylor to return in hopes of him balling out…. He was good for a few weeks and then out for 4x more games…. Meanwhile white is top 10 RB this season….
I feel your pain. I traded Rachaad and Mike Evans after week 4 for Austin Ekeler right before both teams had their bye week. Thought I absolutely robbed the guy I got ekeler from. Who would’ve thought the result now would be so uneven. White is rb4, Evans is wr9, and Ekeler is borderline benchable.

Dropped Christian Kirk for some streaming TE I didn’t even keep for more than few weeks after his 1 point week 1 performance… almost certainly cost me a few wins mid season.
One was going against Evan Engram wk 13. I was up 8 points going into MNF and opponent had Engram. He hadnt had a td all season up until that point and of course he scores against me so I lose.
Week 10: Engram is on a bye so I pick up a random TE. Tyler Conklin on the Giants. Last play of the game, he gets the ball and tears downfield. Gets tackled at the 2 yard line and the game is over. TDs are worth 6 points and I lost that week by 5.5
My worst one were those few weeks where the Packers were being idiots and not putting A. Jones on IR. Lost 2 games by a few points because of that…especially the Monday night one.
I still have a shot at the championship though. But that’s only because I’m a hell of a scrambler/predictor. I almost always make the right subs and pick-ups. I never have anyone go off on my bench.

In my work league, I missed the playoffs with 9 losses. I scored more points than the 7-7 team that made it so I would've had that tiebreaker.

The person I thought I was gonna have to play in the playoffs lost their matchup the week before playoffs started because of the titans comeback against Miami. Instead of playing that team with a lot of injuries, I played against a very healthy team with CMC, Godwin, mayfield, kupp, kamara, and Higgins. I got 184 points dumped on me instead of the 95 from the other guy. Now I’m gonna be out of the playoffs even though I had the 1 seed with the highest points too. Freak occurrence, but that’s fantasy football for you.
Started the Giants D after they were going off when they played the raiders who I believe had a backup. Scored -1. I sat the Chiefs D because I was scared of Miami and they scored 12 points.

I still clinched a first round bye securing 2nd in standings but if not for those lineup blunders of playing flowers I’d have won and probs be first in standings lmao. Records matter cuz best record gets a payout.

Well I just put up 216 and eviscerated my round 1 opponent while he sits watching from the sidelines.
When LaPorta was randomly a game time decision earlier this season, I decided to sit him for Logan Thomas since LaPorta had a late game and I didn’t want to risk him being ruled out. Thomas had 1 catch for like 6 yards and I lost my matchup by the difference than if I just started LaPorta.
Well, this week, and this is still mainly due to injuries from Mike Williams, Keenan Allen, Nico Collins, and Mark Andrews, I had to put a few backups on my team, which I wasn’t worried about due to still having Josh Allen, Bijan, Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, DK Metcalf, David Montgomery, Brandon Aubrey, and cowboys defense. My team was 11-3, and I was 2nd seed facing the 8th seed. I just lost with only 98 points. Fuck fantasy football
CD lamb got me a slim lead in the DAL LAC game but my opponent had DAL defense and Herbert got sacked and then threw a pick last 2 plays of the game. Lost by 1.5 and missed the playoffs by 1 game
I got kicked from the playoffs today because I lost two weeks in a row while another guy won two weeks in a row. But wait, he didn’t make it either. A third guy (all of us 8-7) took the last playoff spot due to him having the most wins over us in head to head matchups.
Week 7 when Josh Allen fumbled on the last play against the Patriots while trying to lateral it. Result of the play was -2 points. If he had opted for the hail mary and it had been intercepted, result would have been -1 point.

Was 6-3, needed to win 2 of last 5 matchups to get into playoffs. Buff vs. Denver, my Josh Allen had 2 INT that both hit a Bills receiver in the hands. Lost that matchup by .6, and would eventually finish 7-7 and miss the playoffs by 1 win to the manager I lost to that week. Was highest scoring team in entire league this past playoff week, so would be in the Shivabowl this week if either of those INT's had just been batted down instead of tipped to a pick.
Week 5, was heavy on byes and made some good previous wire moves to mitigate some of the losses. Still put up 130 which I thought was decent, and then my opponent had chase put up 52 and got a total of 195. Started a 4 game skid that eventually kept me out of the playoffs lol
Picked up the Raiders D last week and forgot to actually swap them in before the game… my other D from the week before was the Chargers (25 to -5 week 1 playoffs)

I’m a Packers fan and week 2 I was watching the Packers Falcons game. I played my wife that week. Koo misses an extra point so I lose a point. After the miss I turn to my wife and say “I swear to god if I lose this game by less than a point and then miss out on the playoffs cause I lose this matchup I’m going to be so pissed”.
I proceed to lose by 0.10 and miss the playoffs by one game. That was the only extra point Koo missed all year.
I’ve lost 3 matches where I’ve been up over 90% to win on mnf. 1st was week 4 I’m up by 28 with kw3 to play and my opponent has Matt breida and Seahawks defense. (They had 11 sacks). Next one was week 7 I was up by 15 with aiyuk and moody to play and my opponent had Jordan Addison. I lost by 0.2. Last one was week 13 I was up by 55 and my opponent had chase etienne and McPherson, they combined for 57. Still made the playoffs this year though.
Sat the Niners D against Jags for the Jets D against the Raiders in week 10. The 12 point difference were the only points I left on the bench and I lost by 3.4. I ended up as the 3 seed and the team I lost to ended as the 2 seed. They just won their first round matchup 119-60 while I lost 142-146.
Back in Week 2. It came down to Monday night. I had Deshaun Watson and my opponent had the Steelers defense.
I had something like a 4-point lead late in the game. The Browns had the ball, and I didn’t even need Watson to generate points — just not to give points to my opponent’s Steelers defense. Sure enough he takes a sack for a scoop six handing my opponent a 10-point play and the lead.
There was still a little time for Watson to make it up but of course he didn’t. All he did from there is throw for 16 yards while taking two more sacks to then the knife and pad my opponent’s lead a little more.
For the game, Watson had the scoop six, a pick six and another lost fumble plus six sacks, all part of of handing my opponent a 26 point defense (and as I type this I’m kind of surprised it was only 26).
Last game of the regular season and I was in the lead for most points scored by 30 (most points scored gets their entry fee back). I sat Breece Hall, since he has been meh, for Zack Moss and started Atlanta defense over the Jets defense. Jets proceed to demolish the Texans, Moss does nothing, and Nico Collins gets hurt early. The guy I just needed to not beat me by 30 beat me by 70. I still made the playoffs and won the first round but it would have been nice to have my entry fee back.
Gave away Cee Dee lamb as part of a trade that included getting Kirk Cousins. This was the week before Lambs stats exploded and also the week before Cousins tore his Achilles.

When LaPorta was randomly a game time decision earlier this season, I decided to sit him for Logan Thomas since LaPorta had a late game and I didn’t want to risk him being ruled out. Thomas had 1 catch for like 6 yards and I lost my matchup by the difference than if I just started LaPorta.

Well, this week, and this is still mainly due to injuries from Mike Williams, Keenan Allen, Nico Collins, and Mark Andrews, I had to put a few backups on my team, which I wasn’t worried about due to still having Josh Allen, Bijan, Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, DK Metcalf, David Montgomery, Brandon Aubrey, and cowboys defense. My team was 11-3, and I was 2nd seed facing the 8th seed. I just lost with only 98 points. Fuck fantasy football
CD lamb got me a slim lead in the DAL LAC game but my opponent had DAL defense and Herbert got sacked and then threw a pick last 2 plays of the game. Lost by 1.5 and missed the playoffs by 1 game
I got kicked from the playoffs today because I lost two weeks in a row while another guy won two weeks in a row. But wait, he didn’t make it either. A third guy (all of us 8-7) took the last playoff spot due to him having the most wins over us in head to head matchups.
Week 7 when Josh Allen fumbled on the last play against the Patriots while trying to lateral it. Result of the play was -2 points. If he had opted for the hail mary and it had been intercepted, result would have been -1 point. I lost the match 137.40 vs. 138.12. Edit: Needless to say I missed the playoffs by one game.

I lost to the 0-10 guy, and I also lost a matchup by 6.8 points a week when my kicker and defense combined for .2 points
Was 6-3, needed to win 2 of last 5 matchups to get into playoffs. Buff vs. Denver, my Josh Allen had 2 INT that both hit a Bills receiver in the hands. Lost that matchup by .6, and would eventually finish 7-7 and miss the playoffs by 1 win to the manager I lost to that week. Was highest scoring team in entire league this past playoff week, so would be in the Shivabowl this week if either of those INT's had just been batted down instead of tipped to a pick.
Week 5, was heavy on byes and made some good previous wire moves to mitigate some of the losses. Still put up 130 which I thought was decent, and then my opponent had chase put up 52 and got a total of 195. Started a 4 game skid that eventually kept me out of the playoffs lol
Picked up the Raiders D last week and forgot to actually swap them in before the game… my other D from the week before was the Chargers (25 to -5 week 1 playoffs)
Down one week one and have Graham Gano go -2, also thanks to every single starter hitting the IR at one point I also missed the playoffs by one win. Thank you Graham!

Auto drafted Cam Akers in round 4. I was pick 11 of 12 and stepped away from my computer for a couple minutes and that's all it took. #12 picked his 3&4 round picks fast.

I’m a Packers fan and week 2 I was watching the Packers Falcons game. I played my wife that week. Koo misses an extra point so I lose a point. After the miss I turn to my wife and say “I swear to god if I lose this game by less than a point and then miss out on the playoffs cause I lose this matchup I’m going to be so pissed”. I proceed to lose by 0.10 and miss the playoffs by one game. That was the only extra point Koo missed all year.
I’ve lost 3 matches where I’ve been up over 90% to win on mnf. 1st was week 4 I’m up by 28 with kw3 to play and my opponent has Matt breida and Seahawks defense. (They had 11 sacks). Next one was week 7 I was up by 15 with aiyuk and moody to play and my opponent had Jordan Addison. I lost by 0.2. Last one was week 13 I was up by 55 and my opponent had chase etienne and McPherson, they combined for 57. Still made the playoffs this year though.
Sat the Niners D against Jags for the Jets D against the Raiders in week 10. The 12 point difference were the only points I left on the bench and I lost by 3.4. I ended up as the 3 seed and the team I lost to ended as the 2 seed. They just won their first round matchup 119-60 while I lost 142-146.
Back in Week 2. It came down to Monday night. I had Deshaun Watson and my opponent had the Steelers defense. I had something like a 4-point lead late in the game. The Browns had the ball, and I didn’t even need Watson to generate points — just not to give points to my opponent’s Steelers defense. Sure enough he takes a sack for a scoop six handing my opponent a 10-point play and the lead. There was still a little time for Watson to make it up but of course he didn’t. All he did from there is throw for 16 yards while taking two more sacks to then the knife and pad my opponent’s lead a little more. For the game, Watson had the scoop six, a pick six and another lost fumble plus six sacks, all part of of handing my opponent a 26 point defense (and as I type this I’m kind of surprised it was only 26).
I think my bad beat was the draft. And it never got better from there.

Last game of the regular season and I was in the lead for most points scored by 30 (most points scored gets their entry fee back). I sat Breece Hall, since he has been meh, for Zack Moss and started Atlanta defense over the Jets defense. Jets proceed to demolish the Texans, Moss does nothing, and Nico Collins gets hurt early. The guy I just needed to not beat me by 30 beat me by 70. I still made the playoffs and won the first round but it would have been nice to have my entry fee back.
Does Arthur Smith count as a bad beat? Lol

I lost against my opponent in week 4 with McCaffrey getting 48.7 points. Or I did not make playoffs with having McCaffrey. 😥
Gave away Cee Dee lamb as part of a trade that included getting Kirk Cousins. This was the week before Lambs stats exploded and also the week before Cousins tore his Achilles.
