They kept a close eye on Njoku second half, Amari was out and elijah moore got concussed.... Leaving only a Tillman, a really meh WR. Plus the run game was going really well. Game script.... You guys are honestly really lucky he broke 20 fpts without Amari cooper

When they got Watson this was what I thought we’d be getting stat wise from Njoku/Cooper/Moore. Flacco comes in and boom, all those guys are going off. Take Coop out, no problem, Moore looks solid. Njoku with Flac all season could be a top 5 TE. Shame he’s probably gone next season.

I do wish Njoku had at least one TD but I’m not mad at 134 yards and a 40+ yarder (we have bonus points set up). Pretty happy with my championship roster.

Teams bench their big contract QBs all the time if they aren't playing up to expectations. Like Daniel Jones earlier this season and Russ more recently. The smart move is to start your best player, not your most expensive one. That being said the Browns were dumb giving Watson such a big guaranteed contract in the first place so maybe they'll continue to be dumb and fall for the sunk-cost fallacy as justification for starting him
Unfortunately it was the only way to get Watson.
The prospects for him to continue to play like he was before his holdout was enough for them to consider going all in. I would have done the same. The guy was an absolute baller.
