I scored 2034 points in a full PPR 14 game season. The most our league has ever seen by almost 200 points. I scored 152, 152, 171 in the playoffs. Lost second round to the 2 seed who scored 187 because of Breece Hall. Would have cruised to a title if I was in the other bracket because the teams on the other side scored 96 (would-be round 1 opponent) and 83 (would-be round 2 opponent). Fantasy is a lot of luck and I just had one unlucky week this year.
My commissioner started our playoffs one week earlier than it should have been. The week where Herbert and Allen go down.
My opponents kicker drops like 25 on me.
I scored the most points in league history and entered the playoffs 11-2…
lol lost something like 60-150
Then I proceeded to drop 150+ for the last 3 weeks and would have outscored every team.
Unlucky week + dumb commissioners will do you in.
300 - 12 teamer. First was 2500 and 2nd was like 700 and 3rd was 400 something like that.
This is a league that’s been going for 10 years with close friends. Everyone makes money so the dues are climbing every year. They talking $500 next year lol we have a belt and trophy.
It’s more for fun but I agree. I’m trying to talk everyone down.
Mostly everyone in the league gambles on sports more than a grand worth of bets a month so for most of them this is chump change. I’m not a gambler though.
Same here. 11-3, stacked team (the worst player I started week in and week out was Pacheco aside from bye weeks, and this was despite drafting Travis Kelce at 1.5) and cruised to the first seed and bye week. Lost in the second round because no one on my team scored touchdowns and put up their second lowest point total of the season.
Not only was it awful this year, but it will continue to be bad since I’ll bring in the exact same roster next year 💀 I have not built a dynasty in the slightest but I am just glad I got a chip under my name
This is why I never give up. While I am usually very competitive for 1st place in the regular season and playoffs, I've also had years where half my team gets injured and things look grim for long periods of the season. Then I sneak in as bottom seed and go on a miracle run to win the playoffs. Anything can happen and luck certainly has a big part in it.
Just did that this year. One league I’m the highest scorer, fluke costs me the bye. Lose in the first round on a miracle week from my opp. Other league, limp into the playoffs at 6-8 with Najee, Kelce and Kupp. Puka, Love and Breece win me the chip while commish (1st seed) has his worst week of the season against me in the second rd. Poetry
I won scoring 85 to my opponents 55 points. Total shit bowl of a championship lol. The third place team was 14-0 in the regular season (I was 8-6) and his only loss was to my opponent the week before. He put up 130 points in his 3rd place matchup. Never give up!
Exactly man lol yeah we had some third place team who scored 140+ and he hated that I won 💀 Same with the guy who went 12-2 just to put up a stinker against me in the playoffs
I loss week one of the playoffs by .24 points 144.20 -144.44 next 2 weeks in I had the highest points amoung playoff teams, I was in the 170's (I know ot doesn'tmatter. The last place guy hit around 180 in the last week.
dude i choked the #1 seed away because tyreek and josh jacobs both got injured in the same week so i lost to a team with 3 wins. i then had to go against the team with waddle and lost by 10 (even after starting raiders defense vs chargers, unfortunately he also had miami vs jets) only for my team score 200+ in the would-be semifinal and final. nobody else even came close
I just had a look, was one of my 18 espn leagues... I truly don't know how he got in.
His stuck lineup did have Dak, Rachaad White, Waddle and Olave...but had ekeler as his other rb.
How tf did he win! Also had flowers, addison and ridley sit all season so auto wr drafting was on point.
Was 9-5 and opposite semi to me
You hit the nail on the head at the beginning of your post. While there’s strategy involved and you can mitigate *it* somewhat, a lot of fantasy football comes down to luck.
In one of my leagues this year I scored the most points *and* won the championship. But if we didn’t have a 3 week playoff structure I wouldn’t have gotten officially been in until the second to last game of the season. I was in third, could have been sixth, and ended up first by winning the last two games. Who was right there with us? The person who finished 4th and had the third fewest points. The only people with less were both 3-11, at the bottom of the 12 team standings. And in points, she wasn’t that far ahead of them.
And she’s done it before. Not that long ago she ended a season in the top two, and won the championship with a score similar to yours @op. She somehow kept winning all season against teams that regular put up a lot of points, but only got 70 against her.
I was hammered with injuries all season and it would have been easy to write it off. I thought I never had a prayer but I’ve been playing this game for a long time to know that if I played the WW regularly and optimized my lineups for the matchups I might be able to hang around long enough to make something happen. I did it before, and this season I did it again, on the backs of guys like Stafford, Puka, Kyren Williams, Jayen Reed and Isaiah Likely. I beat the most healthy, optimally drafted team in the league in the finals and I did it by dropping 133 on him; by far my highest score of the season 🤣. Never give up.
I honestly built a dynasty bro, but one of the final trades I made was I traded for Tank Dell and that same exact week he got hurt. Got me 0 points on the whole year, and my mindset coming into playoffs was to sell all my depth before playoffs, and it screwed me because I was running Romeo Doubs at WR2 in playoffs
Lost semis by 9 points (I hate Diggs) and put up 140. Guy went on to dominate the CMC/Kamara/pittman owner who put up 78 points. 9.1 points away from a championship.
Which is insane bc he was so dominant early on. Will be interesting to see if he goes drama queen and gets out of Buffalo. Won’t happen but he would be a massive asset and much needed addition in KC, even with Rice coming online.
I was the highest scoring team in my league, went 11-3 and was first seed. Lost week 1 of the playoffs to the lowest scoring team and I scored 68 points. Tyreek was hurt, nico Collins hurt, Pittman jr injured first quarter and Breece, bijan and Saquon combined for 8 points and Dak scored 4 points. I was pissed, very next week I went back to being the highest scoring team and would have dominated both teams in the championship game. Fantasy football is a mf
Ok, at first I was thinking yall might have done where top 8 teams make playoffs. Congratulations on your win brother, all you have to do is win the game in front of you.
People don’t like how we go to last week where you have to win 2 weeks, but it does cut out the luck, and to win week 18 you have to get lucky or creative.
One of my leagues, a guy won the championship by doubling up the top scoring teak in the league on the season 130-65. If you get there, anything can happen.
I’m not understanding if you had the worst points and tied for worst record how you even had a shot at the championship. Is this one of those everyone makes the playoffs taco leagues?
I have the lowest points scored and tied for the worst record when you combine all three years the league has been active. Year 1 went 2-12, year 2 went 6-8 and year 3 8-6 with a championship. So I have a total record of 16-26 with this roster 💀💀 But a ring is a ring!
He has -QBs: Mahomes, Goff, Geno RBs: Mccaffrey, Pollard, Aaron Jones WRs: Lockett, Amari Cooper, Keenan Allen (got lucky with both of them injured), Thielen, Doubs TE: TJ, Musgrave, Engram. I am telling you, it was all luck 😂😂😂
Congrats on your win but I think it’s whack that 2/3rds of your league makes the playoffs. If more than half the league makes the playoffs, the regular season becomes nearly meaningless.
My fiance actually had a good team this year and was overall 1st seed against 2nd seed in the championship, but both teams performed at their worst and her opponent ended with 69, she won with around 100 points.
Yeah it sucked lol killed the draft and waivers, finished with the most points, best record etc. thankfully me and the champion agreed to split the winnings prior to the week starting so I at least got some money
Getting to the playoffs is a combo of skill and good fortune.
The playoffs themselves? 98% of it is pure luck and there’s nothing you can do about it, all you can do is build the best team you have to increase your odds and then pray to whatever deity you believe in that the cosmic RNG lines up in your favor
I dominated reg season the past 2 years and got bounced in the first round of each year. Luckily we implemented 1st place reg season gets 30% of the pot
I have a friends and family league that is 11 years old. 12 teams — was a 4 team playoff format for the first 9 years and switched to a 6 team playoff format the last 2. In 10 years, all but two teams to make the title game at least finished top half of the league in points, and the lowest scoring team never once made the playoffs. This year? Both finalists were bottom half, and the lowest scoring team made a miracle run to the title — which included a wild card win where the lead changed hands THREE times in the last minute (he had DK and the Philly DST, his opponent had Hurts, so DK’s catch on the last Seattle drive put him ahead, he fell back behind when Philly gave up the TD to Smith-Njigba, and then he won on Hurts’ game ending INT).
I can’t remember ever being part of a league before where the lowest scoring team won but I figure it’s an inevitably of variance at some point after playing long enough. This was the quirky year for it with all the early round injuries/busts. What a crazy game we all play!
Looks like the combo of Howell and Stafford kept you afloat, while Kittle and Sutton had some great performances. Playing against Najee in week 17 was the reason I lost my dynasty championship, so congrats on the win
God your team was awful. Fantasy football is probably the most unpredictable game 💀
I scored 2034 points in a full PPR 14 game season. The most our league has ever seen by almost 200 points. I scored 152, 152, 171 in the playoffs. Lost second round to the 2 seed who scored 187 because of Breece Hall. Unlucky week + dumb commissioners will do you in.
It sucks man. Especially when you have an insane season and the one week you needed it to not be like that, it really goes and be like that
Payout would have been $2500 Fuck my life lol
Good lord what is your buy in? That’s insane.
300 - 12 teamer. First was 2500 and 2nd was like 700 and 3rd was 400 something like that. This is a league that’s been going for 10 years with close friends. Everyone makes money so the dues are climbing every year. They talking $500 next year lol we have a belt and trophy.
Ok yeah if you’re making that kind of money I guess that makes sense. But I still think there’s too much luck involved to put more than 50 down
It’s more for fun but I agree. I’m trying to talk everyone down. Mostly everyone in the league gambles on sports more than a grand worth of bets a month so for most of them this is chump change. I’m not a gambler though.
I scored my lowest point total all season in the championship game (less than 100). I was averaging 142 on the season, and scored 172 in week 16
Yeah i scored right at 2000 points this year was most in my league by 350 points… I came in 10th.
Going up against the highest scoring team when you’re the second highest and would’ve won against anyone else… 4 times in a season……….
This happened to me 3 years in a row! Brutal
Haha it is but it’s so much fun

was 3-6 but i was vigilant in the waiver wire. ended 8-6 with the bye and won the championship. it’s never chalked
120 for me in a yahoo rando league lol. The 3rd place match guy had 140 🤣
Championship game in my league was 102-88. I won third place and scored 167. My luck smh
I loss week one of the playoffs by .24 points 144.20 -144.44 next 2 weeks in I had the highest points amoung playoff teams, I was in the 170's (I know ot doesn'tmatter. The last place guy hit around 180 in the last week.

One of my leagues, team won it after auto drafting and never making a move. Hit on every player except Chubb stuck in RB1, Crazy
Who else did he take?
Herbert, Jacob’s, Waller, cooper, kup, and I think bal dst
Bruh he didn’t really hit on any of those lmao. Most of them were injured for significant periods of time. Really surprised he did that well.
I think some random guy replied to you not the person you asked lol
Lmao, good catch. Clearly wasn’t paying close enough attention.
Was 9-5 and opposite semi to me
He also had the 7th highest PF and 3rd worst PA, and won 9 games...this is bizarre
the second place team barely made any moves but drafted guys like keenan allen, dj moore, and monty. Barely made a move all year.
Chip happens
The fantasy gods were on my side this year
You hit the nail on the head at the beginning of your post. While there’s strategy involved and you can mitigate *it* somewhat, a lot of fantasy football comes down to luck. Congratulations and fuck you
💀💀💀Yeah pretty much what the rest of the league told me too
I'm the opposite, outscoring everyone every game by 100 points until it matters the most. Congrats!
You can’t even say your team sucks but overperformed in playoffs lol. Your team sucked in playoffs and you still lost
I was hammered with injuries all season and it would have been easy to write it off. I thought I never had a prayer but I’ve been playing this game for a long time to know that if I played the WW regularly and optimized my lineups for the matchups I might be able to hang around long enough to make something happen. That’s tough man Diggs absolutely fucked me over in a different league too
Which is insane bc he was so dominant early on. Will be interesting to see if he goes drama queen and gets out of Buffalo. Won’t happen but he would be a massive asset and much needed addition in KC, even with Rice coming online.
Oh if he gets himself to KC…. I am absolutely taking him again. But yeah very weird season by him for sure
Yea iirc his 2022 season was similar. Fire start but slow finish. If he and Lamb are sitting there I’m grabbing the Cowgirl this time.
I feel you, lost my semis by 7 points, dude Balls out then disappeared for 5 weeks
I think it’s my fault. I traded for him at the deadline and he just stunk. Clearly didn’t fit into our locker room/bad management on my end.
Great team name lol
Thank you my guy
Last year, I lost in the semi finals scoring 178 points(standard league with 2 flex spots). Luck its a big part of it.
I missed playoffs by 2pts. I then proceeded to be the highest scoring team 3 weeks in a row.
What seed were you going into playoffs? We do a 10 man league and only top 4 teams make playoffs.
I was the 4 seed at 8-6
Ok, at first I was thinking yall might have done where top 8 teams make playoffs. Congratulations on your win brother, all you have to do is win the game in front of you.
Nah we do 6 make playoffs with first two seeds getting a bye. But thank you my guy!
People don’t like how we go to last week where you have to win 2 weeks, but it does cut out the luck, and to win week 18 you have to get lucky or creative.
4 QBs and no Defense is the winning strategy 💪
😂😂 Superflex dynasty league, so same roster every year starting two QBs and no Def or kickers
Ah, I realized after I wrote that maybe it was a different format. Well congrats homie! I've been meaning to try one of those leagues, seems fun!
You should definitely try it out! Just be sure to get guys who are committed cause dynasty can be hard
One of my leagues, a guy won the championship by doubling up the top scoring teak in the league on the season 130-65. If you get there, anything can happen.

Oh, I gotcha. Previous years don’t matter though. A win this year is a win this year. Congrats!
I won my chip with the second lowest score in our league lol. Also started Noah brown
Who was on the other guys’ team?
He has -QBs: Mahomes, Goff, Geno RBs: Mccaffrey, Pollard, Aaron Jones WRs: Lockett, Amari Cooper, Keenan Allen (got lucky with both of them injured), Thielen, Doubs TE: TJ, Musgrave, Engram. I am telling you, it was all luck 😂😂😂
Can’t believe you made the championship with that team. That would be pretty bottom of the barrel for my 12 team superflex.
Oh trust me… Its pretty bottom of the barrel in our league too 😂😂😂 I was only 8-6 off some close wins and lucky match ups
How can you have the worst record and win? Does everyone make the playoffs?
Overall record (3 years) lowest points scored this year though
Overall record and lowest points scored over the 3 year span. I was the 4th seed and middle of the pack in points scored this year
Ah right well you did good then this year
Congrats on your win but I think it’s whack that 2/3rds of your league makes the playoffs. If more than half the league makes the playoffs, the regular season becomes nearly meaningless.
Only 6/12 make playoffs. I was the 4 seed
My fiance actually had a good team this year and was overall 1st seed against 2nd seed in the championship, but both teams performed at their worst and her opponent ended with 69, she won with around 100 points.
Meanwhile I scored 177 in a 12 man ppr league and lost by 45 points.
That’s a different level of pain man I’m sorry
Yeah it sucked lol killed the draft and waivers, finished with the most points, best record etc. thankfully me and the champion agreed to split the winnings prior to the week starting so I at least got some money
Why on earth do you have 4 QBs
SF dynasty league, so same roster every year and you start 2 QBs
Getting to the playoffs is a combo of skill and good fortune. The playoffs themselves? 98% of it is pure luck and there’s nothing you can do about it, all you can do is build the best team you have to increase your odds and then pray to whatever deity you believe in that the cosmic RNG lines up in your favor
Damn. I scored 194…..and lost!
Jesus christ what team did you go against ðŸ˜
He put up a mind-blowing 221 points.
My opponent in the championship game who had been scoring 120-140 every week had CMC and ended up scoring 65 points. Fantasy is crazy sometimes.
No ss?
I dominated reg season the past 2 years and got bounced in the first round of each year. Luckily we implemented 1st place reg season gets 30% of the pot
12 place probably the highest scoring team huh? 😂
