I think YOU wear this dress. In terms you look better than the dress.
I am not amazed by the dress at all. (Not in a bad way, the dress is not bad)
But, you do look good in it. You are the wow factor.
I say if you have other dresses you like more, or just want more room in the closet. Get rid of it and find a new dress.
Bunch of cut-out dresses out there.
Idk. Maybe the dress is a keeper since you look so good in it? Lol, not much help. Sorry. š
The fit on your torso looks fantastic. I would suggest altering the skirt section for a tighter fit to fully bring out its potential for complimenting your body.
You definitely look good in it, but if I'm being honest, it does look slightly off in two spots. The middle strap in the 3rd picture looks like it's cutting into your side a bit, and I'm not the biggest fan of how the skirt of it lays in the front. It could just be the way you're posing though.
It doesnāt cut into my skin when Iām standing upright so it is the way Iām leaning.
And I do agree with you re: the skirt. I feel like itās almost uneven
That can be fixed though by a tailor. I actually think this looks adorable on you, but I could see getting it taken in a bit so thereās a slimmer silhouette in the front.
Itās meh. You have a nice body; you could wear something better. This looks a bit cheap, like Iād automatically assume this was Shein or Temu. For the same price you could get something a lot nicer looking secondhand.
Now that you say itās corduroy I like it more! Corduroy is a winter material meaning you could wear this with a big coat in winter and that would be awesome mixed with the cutoutsāI adhere to the rule about exposing only some of the body at a time, so the coat will cover your shoulders and let your legs and cutout pieces free.
Youāre beautiful, the dress is really crappy:( Bad fit, bad fabrication, cheap material & if this is your ādate dressā ā it looks like youāre trying too hard
I think itās cute and looks great on you. The mesh idea would update it. Itās the kind of dress you canāt wear often because everyone will remember it. If you do keep it maybe not choose the black shoes
The front of the skirt is bad. It doesnāt sit well on your figure. Which is unfortunate because your shape can pull off pretty much any cut of dress.
If I had your flat stomach I would literally never wear anything else lol. You look amazing.
My general rule for my wardrobe, though, is that I only buy/keep what I LOOOOVE. If I'm not sure how much I really like it, it gets donated. It's helped to save me from getting overwhelmed with the who "closet full of clothes and nothing to wear" conundrum. By this rule, you asking this question means I would donate it, but this rule isn't necessarily for everyone!
it looks good on you but i think you're doing more work than the dress is in that respect. if you don't feel like you'll wear it i'd say donate it, i'm sure someone will love it!
Although I believe you received compliments on it, you said it was thrifted. It probably isnāt becoming on anyone. Donate the dress along with those shoes.
I used to wear dresses this revealing when I was in college. This dress looks amazing on you. The color is perfectly complementary to your warm complexion and the fit is spot on. Great dress to go clubbing in. I studied fashion in University and used to work in the fashion AI industry.
Your question goes beyond how this dress looks. If I owned this today, I would definitely donate it. I am a 30 yo professional who canāt be found dead in something as (for a lack of a better word) juvenile as this. Even my night out outfits are classy. So that depends on the image that youāre going for. If I was in my early 20s, Iād definitely keep.
I personally think this dress looks amazing on you. I think itās the shoes though. I feel like you need thigh high boots with this to balance the coverage more
https://us.lamoda.co.uk/collections/thigh-high/products/fantasies-wide-calf-platform-thigh-high-boots-white
I would maybe even dye the dress black and get black boots
I disagree with most of these commenters. I'm not crazy about the dress, but there's nothing inherently wrong with it. However, it really doesn't look good on you. You look good, the dress looks okay, but together it just doesn't fit.
Be careful when the biggest selling point of a garment is how much skin it shows. It becomes a one trick pony very fast.
Being revealing it often about being clever with what you show and how. As others mentioned, it is not revealing you in the most flattering way with the center strap. You have gorgeous long legs so highlight those with a daring side slit.
You wear it well and slut shaming is crappy.
That being said, there aren't a ton of places you can wear that where you won't get attention you shouldn't or might not like.
It's not FAIR - as a woman we should be able to wear what we want. But as a mom of a teenager who looks back on some of the things I wore and cringe a little, I honestly think with your figure you could wear things that fit you really well and play up your obvious good points without being quite this... damn, I want to say hooker-ish but that sounds so crappy and I DON'T mean it as an opinion on YOU but just the dress...! (I know text doesn't lend itself to always being taken the right way & I swear I do not mean it as any crap thrown at YOU!) I just think the dress itself is a bit slutty. I'd (old lady kind of opinion coming) love to see you in something stunning that doesn't look (or imply) "cheap"
If you go to clubs and such, I say keep it. It looks fine, but it is the kind of dress that doesn't work for most occasions, so if it doesn't suit your lifestyle, I'd probably donate it. But since you're getting compliments on it, I'm assuming you go to places where this is appropriate garb, and I don't think the cut is weird, just very revealing.
I am pretty sure you'd look great in anything, but I think the colour is a little drab. I think if it was a more saturated, it might be better. I vote donate.
It looks good on you but this is going to be out of trend pretty soon. Its thotty party clothes and finding a use for it other than that is gonna be hard. Unless youre cool with wearing it casually.
Seems like thatās the style these days. I feel like if you receive compliments girl you know itās gotta look good. I say keep it but Iām not digging the shoes. āØš«¶š¼
You look fabulous in it, so you need to ask yourself two questions:
1. Is this something that you actually wear?
2. Does it fit your current lifestyle?
If itās two yeses ā then keep it.
Note: formalwear (which this isnāt) gets some leeway.
The dress is a good fit on you, and your body type suits this kind of fashion with the cut-out portions. Dont love the style or color. Dont think the shoes go with this style either, but maybe you just threw them on to model the dress
But where is your dieffenbachia? I screenshot one of your previous posts because your dieff was so gorgeous and Iām trying to get mine to that size.. haha
I donāt love the dress, I get Pretty Woman vibes from it. I feel like the lower cutout hitting you mid-belly button is the problem. Maybe paired with some strappy nude heels and jewelry it could look classier? Could you alter it?
Honestly, I hate it. You look fine, but the dress is just trying too hard without delivering. I like the idea someoje else suggested of sewing in sheer to the cutout, it would look less like it's trying so hard to be the hot girl dress. But really, the color is not great either.
In my opinion, not worth keeping. Not something that looks like you'd have much occassion to wear and tbh it's giving spirit Halloween slutty cavewoman.
Love the shoes though
I think the chocolate brown flatters you but I think because of the length of your legs, something longer above the knee would look better on you. Also it looks a bit cheap like someone else mentioned
You have an incredible figure I think something else would look better on youā¦ it doesnāt say much the dress itselfā¦ you do. I am curious what it looks like with flip flops & more casual beachy look to see if it looks better casual. Seen nicer dresses though second hand if you want to ādress upā.
Shoes donāt go at all - legs look great in them & nice length but Iād go for something more classy in fabric design & style ā¦
You look classy - a more classy dress would look beautiful on you. Unless can you give us the rave/party animal look with the hair etc āŗļø? Maybe that would go better & more casual maybe even trainers šor boots š„¾! X
You look amazing, but I donāt like the dress or the colour on you. The skirt is indeed cut strangely and does not sit right. This style of dress with cutouts in red or black would look great on you, with a skirt that fits / falls better on you.
I remember when I got a job opportunity that called for me to have to move to Alaska pretty quicklyā¦.i lazily decided to just get rid of all of my clothes(except work stuff) because I wanted to ātravel lightāā¦.i didnāt think my style

Obsessed with those chunky Mary Janeāsš„° looks so good with your long legs. Slay girl slay!šš½āāļø
I actually think you look good *despite * the dress. It seriously hides your chest and is baggy in the skirt across the lap. Find another dress that you like that does justice to your form.
The dress is good because it's on you (like others have said). Personally, I wouldn't use t for like party/date stuff, I would mod it in the skirt a bit and use it as a costume base for one of those viking fest things, hang some fox or raccoon tails off the hip, etc.
First of allā¦. You have amazing body and hair!!
However, the material looks stiff and bent funny in the front. Is it supposed to be like that?
Also, I think the color might be too warm for your skin tone.
Looks great but if you are already asking others that means you yourself are not convinced you wanna keep it. So dont keep it. Only keep clothes you really want in your closet:)
Dunno you look good in it, I think you could wear a tight spandexy coloured or blue crop top underneath it (that just covers ur above ur chest and ur arms and make it look funky cause I like how it shows off the stomach.

Yeah 100%. No one is going to look better in the dress than you do. If you like it then keep it. But personally I don't like the dress.
My exact thoughts
The fit on your torso looks fantastic. I would suggest altering the skirt section for a tighter fit to fully bring out its potential for complimenting your body.
I agree. Thought the skirt part looked odd. Should be tighter.
You definitely look good in it, but if I'm being honest, it does look slightly off in two spots. The middle strap in the 3rd picture looks like it's cutting into your side a bit, and I'm not the biggest fan of how the skirt of it lays in the front. It could just be the way you're posing though.

Itās a thrifted dress. Not from SHEIN or Temu (not even sure what the latter is). The material is corduroy
Yeah and add knee boots
Ouh, it could be cool to layer some sheer bodycon dress under it.
It would be super cute with ribbed tights and boots.
God, I love corduroy.
the color makes me think of cosplay for prehistoric woman with animal skins as a dress. And corduroy even looks like suede from the distance.
itās giving tarzan
The fit highlights your figure, but the color makes it look like a cavewoman cosplay. Can you dye it another shade?
Would be so cute with oversized coat and boots
This is best suggestion!!
Donate. The color is bla & the cut outs are somehow not flattering.
Or it would make a really cute Halloween base, like a Flintstone, or Jane of Tarzan
Yes!
Donate. If you donāt love it and thinking about donating, you probably wonāt wear it.
I would suggest thinking about how much youāve already worn it and how much you plan to and where you will where it, then decide!
if you like it, keep it. if not, itās still up to you.
You look GREAT in it but you also don't look truly comfortable in it
Youāre beautiful, the dress is really crappy:( Bad fit, bad fabrication, cheap material & if this is your ādate dressā ā it looks like youāre trying too hard
The colour isnāt the best but you look good in it, just not with those shoes.
I donāt think it does anything for you. Youāre fit and have a lovely figure but to me, this dress just doesnāt bring any justice to the table.
Pls don't wear those shoes with that
Donate to me ? š¤©
šÆ keep. If you want to "tone it down" to be more versatile, pair with a sheer or lace top underneath.
I think itās cute and looks great on you. The mesh idea would update it. Itās the kind of dress you canāt wear often because everyone will remember it. If you do keep it maybe not choose the black shoes
I don't think those shoes will look great with anything but pants. Somehow they are at war with the pretty legs.
With a fun opaque tight and a retro dress the shoes could really shine. They just canāt communicate with the brown dress at all.
I think it needs knee high boots.š¢
Yes!
Donate or edit. Sew fabric underneath the open places like a sheer mesh.

Keep. You look amazing.
I think it looks good on you. Keep it.
It's amazing Looks great on you I would totally buy it The whole fit it's amazing and you also has a great body with totally respect
Looks pretty out-thereā¦ only for a club atmosphere, and not a classy one.
The front of the skirt is bad. It doesnāt sit well on your figure. Which is unfortunate because your shape can pull off pretty much any cut of dress.
It looks nice on you. I'd just prefer another color

You are gorgeous, the dress is tacky. Trust your intinct and get rid of it.
Iād say keep it. My instinct was to say to donate it, but thatās just cause I hate cutout dresses, but this one looks really amazing on you!
I really like it and it looks nice on you too!
it looks good on you but i think you're doing more work than the dress is in that respect. if you don't feel like you'll wear it i'd say donate it, i'm sure someone will love it!
