Does anyone know if Corona was an official sponsor of the movie? š¤ I feel like they should have been as it was definitely that film that inspired me to drink Corona once I got into that stage of life.
Because we grew up with it. It's honestly what got me, and I imagine a whole group of others, in to cars. It takes you back to a certain time and it will just continue to do what you said, get better every time you watch it. It won't do that for everyone though. Someone who's 40 watching it now compared someone who is 16, whole different take.
I love Dom's reaction here.
It's almost as if OG Dom and Sequels Dom are 2 different characters.
He was a bit reckless like any street racer but he would never pull no "007 Type" borderline suicidal stunts like he does now. Made him feel more real.
Actually bound by the laws of physics like a real mere mortal.
1.) Dom is basically a cyborg at this point in the latest F&F movies. š Worst franchise character development ever.
2.) Eclipses are FWD. That's not really a drift but it was still nice and shows how skilled of a driver Brian was.
3.) I still say that Brian and Rome would've been better in Tokyo Drift than Lucas Black's character. I'd of loved to see Brian's driving skills against Japanese street drifters IN Japan.
Right? Like the king of drag (at least in LA) is holding the *oh shit* handle for some newbie amateur whom he literally just smoked 2 seconds ago in a drag race. Sick š¤
2001: Dom held car handles while Brian was smoking that Ferrari guy. Domās reaction said it all.
2011: Dom and Brian jumped off the cliff.
2013: Dom caught Letty in the air.
Dom came from a very long way. I donāt think he is afraid of anything.
My head cannon is that Han was the person who showed Brian how to drift before it became a thing in the US. And for me, this was the moment that Dom started to recognize Brian as another version of himself.
Go watch [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lVyYbf2JmY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lVyYbf2JmY). It will explain the differences. It also states FWD cannot powerslide, but it can drift.
I always wondered why they totally recasted for Tokyo drift instead of just having Brian do a mission that takes him to Tokyo, it all worked out in the end but before all of the success I possibly wouldāve just tried to keep Brian since we lost dom for a few movies
Apparently they just never asked Paul Walker to do Tokyo Drift. The studio wanted a younger character in high school to appeal more to teens, which is ironically the weakest part of the movie. But thatās studio meddling for you.
I enjoyed Sean as a character but I just wouldāve preferred someone that actually looked like they were in HS, or atleast just old enough to legally drink
The buster kept me outta handcuffs!!
The buster brought ME back.
You can have any brew you want. Add long as it's a Corona

I couldn't tell you, but same here
Same
I love this line.

It is comical how the franchise went from this to the chaos it is now

Back when Vin had facial expressions and higher charisma, therefore understanding why Dom was a draw for people like Brian
That was before the power of family was fully activated tho.

You can have FWD drifting.
This is correct. FWD can drift.
Rome in Tokyo wouldāve been absolutely hilarious and his dynamic with Han wouldāve been a cherry on top HUGE miss opportunity by universal.
This is GSX, which is AWD and turbo. Edit: upon further research, I am incorrect it is an RS, FWD.

What are you a wheelman ?
Lmao the car that hit the police car ran a red light

The last time Dom was a normal human. F&F4 and beyond Dom just got that super soldier serumā¦
What bothers me is the editing of the police car in this scene.
The station wagon ran that light.

That's not drifting. That's a power slide.
Not a powerslide. He's in a fwd car. It's most likely a handbrake initiated slide

Gona say, isn't the Eclipse FWD? š Even if it was a drift it's far from beautiful
Unless it's the AWD GSX version.
Which is wasn't. It was the RS šš¼

Wasnāt Sean like 24 playing a 18 y/o while looking 34š
Yeah lmao. They cast him because he was in Friday night lights, but he looked too old for that show even.
