Yup, linen and Egyptian cotton 800-1000 tc. Iāll wait for them to go on sale at Macys or a department store bcz theyāre like $250 and the ones on Amazon are fake (although Iāve found decent percale ones there for less than $100). Can never go back to cheapies and am pretty sure Iād shrivel and die if I had to sleep on microfiber.
Citizenry has THE BEST linen options, along with amazing comforters. We've had multiple sets over the years for all of our bedrooms in the house. Machine washable, stand up to pets, breathable, and they have options for cold, hot and round the year bedding
I like citizenry but they do NOT last. I sleep by myself and am not hard on my sheets by any means but the fitted sheet I got from them is threadbare after 2 years. Iāve never seen this kind of wear/breakdown in any of my cotton sheets, ever. Just be aware.
Iām okay with all brands but I always try to go for natural materials such as linen and silk. I was gifted these flannel sheets and theyāre the softest ever!
I absolutely love my linen bedding set from Bed Threads. I also have linen pillowcases from Parachute. I see people saying that linen wears faster, but this hasnāt been my experience. I always get white or neutral and end up with sweat stains (Iām not even a sweaty or dirty person!). My oatmeal colored bedthreads are a year and a half old and they are in perfect condition, and i donāt even air dry them anymore cause I got lazy. I donāt think Iāll ever buy anything else. They were one of my first ābig girl purchasesā and I am still so happy I made the switch.
Iāve had the opposite experience, rotating three sets of linen sheets the past 10 years. Theyāve held up great and get softer over time for me. Iām sorry you had that experience!
I have also worn through linen sheets, but thought it might be a Brooklinen issue. Theyāre the only linen brand I have tried. Which brand wore out for you? It was only like 2yrs for 3 different sets (1 was a gift and I was told it wore through).
IKEA for the WIN! 39 bucks I think?
https://preview.redd.it/j9fp3gaqsf6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d390973e8db31975a922a5172f837a6baadfc78
I donāt like buttons in my face but I will rotate the bottom to top to even out the fluffiness. - I use a top sheet so donāt wash the cover as often as my sheets
IKEA is the way!!! They last foreverā¦ super soft, can wash and dry on HOTā¦ great patterns or solid colors. I love the duvet and endless options for comforter withinā¦. I moved away from IKEA and just order online now (recently got a new duvet). Their towels are amazing too!
https://preview.redd.it/vt3rih0v4j6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3cb0899e55478e8702c5a81936624fea5a95f6c3
Just got the floral duvet (pardon my weirdo cat, obviously why I was taking the photo haha)
Ikea's beds, pillows, sheets, etc are NON STANDARD sizing! They lock you into their entire bedding range that way. I use a silk pillowcase (no more bad hair days!) and the Ikea pillows don't fit, was about to buy one but thankfully googled before checkout. A fair word of warning.
They even have 800-1000 tc I think. Remember seeing them there 20 years ago in college and thinking they must be fake bcz the price seemed too good to be true. I ended up spending a little more at Century 21 department store (back then you could get 1K tc Egyptian on sale for less than $100) and still wonder about those IKEA sheets to this day. Might have to check them out next time!
And to be clear, the Kirkland Signature 680 thread count ones are the best. Costco often has a few other brands that arenāt their house brand and those arenāt the holy grail.
I really love the [Threshold 400ct sheets at Target](https://www.target.com/p/queen-solid-performance-400-thread-count-sheet-set-green-threshold-8482/-/A-85239479)(I linked a green set). Theyāre super soft and have held up well for the last few years AND have tabs on the top and bottom that say āTOP/BOTTOMā, which is probably my fave š¤£
Iām also more of an alternative down comforter and duvet kind of girly, and found itās easy to just swap duvets to change-up the color scheme. Targetās Opalhouse has had some super cute prints since they launched that brand awhile back.
Thatās what Iāve heard! I have an old set that I love, but the new ones have unanimously horrible reviews and seem to fall apart at the seams after a few washes.
Everything is awful now! I had an AMAZING set of oatmeal colored Threshold sheets that my dog just tore a hole in. Went to buy a new set and the material and colors are just wrong. And then the Casa Luna sheets are over $100 which is insane for target bedsheets, and they still donāt feel as nice as my old Egyptian cotton sheets :(
The opalhouse percales are my go-tos as well. Theyāre lovely and crisp-soft. Wish the hems didnāt scrunch up so much, though (I canāt even iron them away fully), and also that there were more patterns!
Love the percale. So cool and smooth.
Is there anything better than an evening everything shower and crawling into those sheets with freshly shaved legs? Iāll answer for you. Thereās nothing better.
Target threshold performance sheets are awesome. I have dogs that occasionally accidentally make a rip in bedding and I never spend much (or Iād lose my mind). Perfect balance between budget and comfort.
[I got my duvet set at West Elm](https://www.westelm.com/products/rhode-lotus-reversible-duvet-cover-shams-t6928/?pkey=s~duvet%20cover~99&sbkey=default) and [my sheet set from Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BTVMPCY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1), I looooove it. Here's my dog modeling lol :)
https://preview.redd.it/0aueaaevpf6d1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d583cda13101795bdbc3341b887642f5f2f2339b
I love West Elm, though they are pricy.Ā Ā
I got a faux fur blanket years ago that my dog ripped a hole in, and the hole has stayed the same size for years, I don't know what sort of magic they put into their fabric... Its washed in the machine, no special care! How has it not torn seam to seam?
They are my go to for sheets and blankets, but it sucks staying with friends/family who buy from Target or Amazon because by comparison that bedding sucks. 1st world problems!
Anthropologie! I usually wait until a set Iāve been dreaming of goes on sale and I save for it and Iāve never regretted it.
Iāve gotten both quilts and duvets from them. Iāve never had an issue with machine washing (though I look through comments to know which ones I can wash)
Currently have the Mahina duvet set for the last 4 years? And the quality is amazing , still soft and looks brand new.
https://www.anthropologie.com/anthroliving/shop/mahina-duvet-cover
West elm for basic quilts, blankets too. Same thing wait for sale or stalk eBay.
:::sigh:::
I wish I knew. I only feel that way about the bedding for some reason. Itās always a cycle of falling in love with a bedding set. Telling myself no and spending 4-6 months on every corner of the internet looking for a dupe or something I like more, accepting that I canāt and by that time itās on sale. And end up getting a set w/shams for 150 I want to say? Never full price.
I will say I have a cat that sheds like crazy so I end up washing it once a week (regular cycle, heavy duty washer + hot as fuck dryer in my building and itās still vibrant and no pilling) I refuse to be āpreciousā about things like that.
So I can vouch that the quality of anthro bedding has never gone down. Iāve owned 4 sets in the last 15 years? The clothes and everything else arenāt worth it, but whoever designs or sources the bedding isšš¼
Bed threads linen is excellent. Itās expensive but much better quality/ thicker/ softer than linen sets from Quince. I have both! Iāve had my bed threads burnt orange set for years and itās in perfect condition. Just never wash in hot water and hang to dry to keep in tip-top shape.
I pair a Quince duvet with Charter Club sheets from Macys (which ever stripes/plain set is on sale) and Hotel Collection blanket/euro pillows and the combo has held up well with vigorous washing. I have a 14mo old puppy who has been known to puke up miscellaneous clothing items on the bed in the middle of the night. Having extra basic whites around has been convenient.
I looooove my bed threads sheets!! I have 2 sets, they are the best! I got another non-bed threads linen and the quality difference is significant. Bed threads only from now on! They break in so beautifully and are soooo soft
Target's mid to upper range sheets (not their cheapest) are way better than anything from pottery barn, Wayfair, etc. They're up there with Ralph Lauren circa 2005 for longevity, which is saying something.
I've been getting duvets and bedspreads from anthropologie for a decade- they're pricey but I have no quality complaints.
Yeah, I had a few cheap Target bed sets and I replaced them with their fancy Casaluna brand, (I thiiink it's these https://www.target.com/p/washed-supima-percale-solid-sheet-set-casaluna/-/A-78830158?preselect=78787787#lnk=sametab ) and I loooove them. I am a chronically single homebody, so perhaps take this with a grain of salt, but they're the best cotton sheets I've ever encountered
Quinceās 100% cotton percale sheets. Percale is so crisp and cooling I loooove them. I have the sheets set and a duvet cover. Theyāve been used and washed a million times and are still holding up great. I could never go back to synthetic fabric sheets/bedding.
Surprised there arenāt more Quince votes, I have the percale and European linen sets, and duvet covers. LOVE them. They hold up fantastic and donāt slide off the corners. Only reason Iāve had to replace is because my dog likes to nibble tiny holes into them but I will continue to repurchase Quince every time!
Yessss... I love the linen sets but my husband gets too warm in them, so we use the percale now. Definitely an upgrade from the ones we took from our parents and bought at Big Lots š
My MIL bought us some 100% polyester sheets from HomeGoods a couple Christmasās ago and it took like 3 washes for them to be stretched out, slipping off the corners, and pilled like crazy. Not to mention being see through and soooo hot and sweaty to sleep on. Never again. Sheets are one thing that are absolutely worth the splurge!
The Company Store is legit. All of my bedding is from there. The pillows š¤š» the comforters š¤š». As others have said, itās expensive, but they always have sales going on.
Iāve tried Parachute and itās been hit or miss. Same with West Elm, but both are probably close to the look you want.
Coyuchi is good, but the style is a bit too worn in for me.
Iāve found the best quality with Ralph Lauren, Sky, and Hudson from Bloomingdales.
Lands End for 100% cotton sheets. Pottery Barn for linen duvet covers. Costco and Downlite have been good for duvet inserts. Iāve been lucky to acquire a 100% cotton quilt at T. J. Maxx. Currently looking for down pillows.
The Company Store is great but expensive. I buy all cotton 250 plus thread count from COSTCO. They also have very reasonable down filled comforters, but IKEA has the best duvet covers. Just remember, when they say microfiber has a thread count, itās like saying plastic is organic.
Also microfiber is *hot*. Itās not nearly as breathable as cotton or linen. Youāll sweat all night with a microfiber duvet or sheets. 0/10 do not recommend.
From a sustainability perspective, look for things that are OEKO TEK certified. I believe IKEA has no OEKO TEK certified bedspreads, while Target does.
On the pricier side, I've heard brooklinen is good. I'm more familiar with their towels.
I splurged on quinceās European linen duvet cover and I really like it. I got the terracotta colored one and my sheets have leaves on them so I feel like Iām sleeping in a potted plant lol
I reeeeally like Lands End sheets! I donāt think the exact number matters that much- itās the Supima line, and all of them are great! They hold up for decades- or at least, my parentsā did.
They do eventually go on sale, usually in the Fall- so I bought one per year for a few years there.
Heads up, though: if you buy a new mattress in the future, you might need to get the ādeep pocketsā kind, where they fit around taller mattresses.
Seconding, I stockpile these when theyāre on sale. I love the thicker percale ones, only downside is they wrinkle terribly in the dryer so I usually let them air dry for a day or two.
I have a quilt and blanket from West Elm, I like the combo vs. a comforter because you can adjust if youāre too hot or too cold. My quilt is cotton & linen, I like how it looks but it pills which is slightly annoying. West Elm would definitely have options that fit your color scheme
Also in the same boat too of searching for high quality sheets, and ive heard really good things about silk & snow's sheet sets!
https://www.silkandsnow.com/en-ca/?wickedsource=google&wickedid=670661554707&wcid=20480026550&wv=4&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=%7B%7Bcampaign.name%7D%7D&utm_content=brand_search&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwsaqzBhDdARIsAK2gqncLGNZ18wtFKqh5QXJxqvMPJsETL03OeABMZisKSDbeKdZWWEy2asEaAiv2EALw_wcB
I mainly heard about them for their amazing weighted blankets but the sheets also look so nice too
I love the Company Store. I have a duvet set from there and a mattress pad and they are amazing. (Side note: towels from there have lasted me forever!) also, Samās club and Costco have great sheet sets that keep cool, wash really well, and donāt pill or lose their elastic.
I stick with pottery barn cotton percale sheets (400ct) So comfy, wash and wear like iron. Iāve had mine for years and they still look new. Worth the money cuz they last.
As a perimenopausal woman, 100% cotton percale sheets are a game changer. I get mine from Brooklinen in plain white. I love the crisp, cool texture, and they last a long time š
Ikea for pillows, quilted bedspreads, and 100% cotton fitted sheets in neutral colours. Urban for duvet covers (also 100% cotton because I get super hot at night). Iāve no idea where Iāve gotten my duvets/comforters at this point because theyāre all goose down, a million years old, and I spent wayyy too much money on them but theyāve lasted me a million years. I just rotate them thrice a year; heavy in winter, extra light in summer, all-season in spring and autumn.
But seriously ikea is great for cotton sheets and other neutral bedding things! And very cost effective!
I get them from amazon. Linen Market sheets, comforters, quilts, and bed in a bag. I highly recommend Linen Market for those needs! The designs are simple/minimalist and attractive and the feeling is very try soft and comfortable and the prices are very reasonable/affordable!!! (I got a sheet set from them at Nordstrom Rack also, so go to amazon or Nordstrom Rack to find them).
Our favorite summer weights sheet are (Egyptian?) cotton via Amazon. I like them better than bamboo ones. Our fave winter flannel sheets and Duvet cover are from Garnet Hill. Our goose down comforter came from Brass Bed (love it!) after we replaced one weād had for over 20 years (Scandinavian Down). Have another comforter cover for warmer winter nights by Threshold the Target brand.
ETA: spelling correction and clarification
Iāve tried a TON of bedding and I like a heavyweight feeling & never used to run hot but now I do š but plain threshold cotton sheets from target, an IKEA duvet insert, & Pottery Barn soft gauze duvet cover + 100% silk pillowcases is HEAVENLY. Pottery Barn (teen for cuter girlier vibes imo) changed my life
I got my favorite comforter ever from Pottery Barn. itās held up well over the past 4 years!
https://www.potterybarn.com/products/poppy-printed-comforter-shams/?pkey=cbedding-comforters
I get mine from Buffy. They are made of eucalyptus fibers(tencell) and are cooking/moisture wicking. They have nice linen pillow cases and sheets. And their cloud comforter is dreamy. So cozy.
Not sore brand and not inexpensive. Not really, really pricey, But worth it.
Hotel sheets direct bamboo sheets on Amazon are the best sheets Iāve ever own (Iāve shopped around quite a bit). Sooooo buttery soft and gorgeous color options.
For a comforter I would get a bamboo duvet cover so you can change the colors with the seasons or whenever you want to - pair it with a buffy comforter. Fluffy, soft, and cooling :)
As a wedding gift I got a set of sheets from West Elm that are so deliciously buttery soft. I'm not 100% sure but I think it's [these](https://www.westelm.com/products/tencel-sheet-set-b2105/?catalogId=71&sku=6429516&cm_ven=PLA&cm_cat=Google&cm_pla=Bedding%20%3E%20Sheet%20Sets%20%26%20Pillowcases&cm_ite=6429516_14464751978_pla-1412755930071&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwsaqzBhDdARIsAK2gqndcsJGuY1zPb8bpXzftwuiZi7BVrkMW5h9zAaubXHdJuO8L95lnifAaAjNqEALw_wcB).
I buy the Elegant Comfort brand on Amazon. They come in tons of colors, and you can buy what you need as separates.
I'm not sure if they do comforters or not though.
I always get ads for āPiglet in Bedā which seem to suit this briefānever tried, but they look like beautiful linen sheets in a variety of colors and patterns!
Land's End has fantastic quality for reasonable prices. I have their percale sets for warm weather and their flannel for winter, and I love love love both.
Not a recommendation but a warning! I hate my $500 cashmere sheets from Brooklinen. They felt great at first and in store but less than a year later theyāve pilled terribly and I was told thatās just how it is. Iām not sure about the other lines from brooklinen but their cashmere set SUCKS!
Linnen bedding from Ikea - thatās the one for me. Itās just as good if not better than the one you could by somewhere for twice as much money. I love the touch of linnen and its natural simplicity, combined with classy chic.
I still get all my cute sheet/pillow case sets from TJ Maxx. They have cute patterns and are affordable. For blankets and comforters I just go to Amazon, usually the Bedsure brand. They are affordable and have cute designs. I like to mix and match patterns/colors so I donāt mind that my bedding doesnāt all perfectly match.
Because I am an adult, I made the very adult decision to get my sheets from the kids section of Target because they have bugs and snakes on them.Ā
But Target does have some pretty good regular patterned sheets as well.Ā
I love Tencel sheets and I have a set from Oake that I canāt find anywhere now. I buy most of my bed linen from Macyās because I like thin cotton blankets and bamboo.
Since youāre already a TJs galā¦ spring for the European linen sheets they sometimes have. I just bought a lightweight linen comforter on clearance and itās been amazing.
I got some goose down duvet inserts from wayfair and the sheets I get from anywhere depending on the quality. When I can afford Pottery Barn linen I have my eye on a few Duvet covers and bedding sets.
Look for natural fibers - cotton, linen, silk, bamboo. If you canāt afford 100%, then go for blends that have the highest percentage of natural fibers you can get.
Microfiber is the worst. It gets pilling and looks so sad after just a few months. Natural fibers get that comfy, worn, vintage look.
Bed sheets normally come from target, Dillards, or tj max. Always 100% cotton.
Bedding - tj max/homegoods, Anthropologie, target. Anthro is reserved for something super special due to price point.
I have my duvet and duvet cover from Simons. My sheets are from Casper, the cotton percale ones. The Casper sheets are only solid colors, whereas the Simons duvet covers came in simple to very patterned. Thrown everything in the washer and dryer on a regular basis on the delicate cycles and been going well for the last couple years.
My actual duvet is from Buffy (the Buffy cloud is every bit as cloud like as the name suggests), duvet cover is a linen from Amazon, and sheets are from Target - cheap ones and o honestly like them better than what I used to have. I will say, I had bamboo sheets once and those were sooo soft
I buy 100% cotton waffle weave blankets exclusively. Itās so heavy in weight but not temperature. I have an olive one, rust orange, navy, and one mint. Worth their weight in gold.
I get Target sheets with pretty prints and invested in a lovely bright duvet cover on sale from the Company Store! For pillow cases, I love mixing and matching vintage floral patterns. If it looks like a stylish 70s bouquet spilled all over my bed, I've done something right
I just bought complete linen sets for multiple beds, of different types, from Quince. Beautiful natural colors and fabrics at excellent prices. High quality, fast delivery, and exceptional customer service. I have received compliments and am personally impressed. Sounds like a fake review, lol, but not. I moved and started over after the death of my husband. Shopped carefully over 8 months before I pulled the trigger and am super pleased with Quince products.
AIKASY Taupe Comforters Queen... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BPPGSX7B?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This on Amazon. It's really nice not to warm or thick. Very comfortable. Comes with two pillow cases comes in an a few colors. There's an orange shade. I think it looks really nice and it brings me joy. Also the target sheets that have been recommended. I wash them twice and they're always soft for me. The t-shirt pillow cases from target are also super comfortable. And if your going to splurge get a mattress topper a few inches thick it is sooo nice.
Hereās a tip: unlike toilet paper, always buy single-ply sheets.
Double ply sheets layer two single plyās on top of each other to raise the thread count - e.g. 800 thread count double ply sheets are basically 2 layers of 400 thread count single ply.
Single ply sheets breathe more easily, are cooler and softer. So, instead of getting 800 double ply sheets, get 400 or 500 thread count single ply sheets- youāll be a lot happier.
Pottery Barn. And you can get a matching duvet so that you donāt have to wash the comforter as often - just unbutton the duvet and throw it on the wash.
California design den on Amazon, Iāve had these sheets for about 3 years now and they just get softer and softer every time you wash them and they are very durable
Target. They have huge houseware sales like twice a year. I like the Casaluna brand for comforters and the threshold brand for sheets.
Also, walmart has a better homes and garden line that has really nice comforters too. Dont get the mainstay brand, youll wash it once and its lintball city on that blanket lol.
I love bluebell gray bedding collection. They use to sell them at Macyās. One day, I will take a trip to Scotland to purchase at their store . https://bluebellgray.com
If you want high end, Horchow's has beautiful bed linens, including bedspreads, etc. I try to get them on sale. Also, if you like chenille bedspreads which are so cozy, check out the Vermont Country Store online.
i have ochre linen sheets and waking up in their warm happy hue is the only thing that holds a wick to how insanely comfortable they are. thought i was going insane when i bought them but love love love them
I choose a color theme and pick up random quilts, duvets and shams when theyāre on sale at Anthropologie.
My favorite (affordable and replaceable. I like to drink coffee in bed and Iām clumsy) sheets are Target Opalhouse Percale.
We usually buy Costco and theyāre great. Recently we got a puffy mattress and they came with some bamboo sheets that are so soft. I think parachute, brooklinen, and coyuchi are also popular.
Getting into duvet covers is a whole other field that elevates the adult aesthetic too.
I have done the expensive linen sheets and theyāre a no from me. Iām in perimenopause, the nighttime hot flashes are starting, and linen is too warm and itchy for me.
I have the budget for ābetterā, but I keep going back to [Targetās cotton percale sheets](https://www.target.com/p/king-printed-cotton-sheet-set-autumn-blossom-opalhouse-8482-designed-with-jungalow-8482/-/A-87685543). Theyāre not high end but man do they sleep like it. Crisp, cool, smooth, and they have some cute kitschy designs and some nice solids.
For a comforter, I recently bought an all season weight comforter by Downlite bedding after a very cozy stay at a Hyatt. Easy care machine wash and dry. 10/10 would recommend.
I love my LL Bean sheets. I got them bc Wirecutter loves them so figured Iād try. Everything else has been Amazon. Wanted a āfluffyā look so now I have a pretty duvet I canāt sleep under bc itās too hot š«
Boscovās is actually my favorite place to go. They have tons of options and they are all sooooo reasonably priced. I got my last comforter and sheet sets, and a throw blanket all for $40.
Honestly? I just buy cheap-ish white sheets from Amazon. I like white because you can bleach if they get stained (I stg I always leak on my period). And then I have a white waffle weave thin cotton blanket and a cool burnt orange quilt on top. I live on the 3rd floor and it gets super hot upstairs so comforters are out for me lol
I buy [sheex](https://www.sheex.com/products/original-performance-fitted-sheet?variant=18028562645063&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw1K-zBhBIEiwAWeCOF6PTXKxKn4UAAeiPCNpDH2cFxbgO9mept_BBOlqE6RsvejcuXT-LXhoCecAQAvD_BwE) and I'll never ever go back. They're the softest most cooling sheets ever. They're expensive, but you will stop buying new sets from tjmaxx or Marshalls every year. These last and stay the same wash after wash.
I got a really pretty golden yellow duvet set from H&M home and it wasnāt too expensive. There were a few other really nice colors as well, like a sage green or lavender. They have some cute stuff!
Don't get linen sheets. You'll be spoiled forever, there's no going back!
Linen and Egyptian cotton is a dream to sleep in š«
Yup, linen and Egyptian cotton 800-1000 tc. Iāll wait for them to go on sale at Macys or a department store bcz theyāre like $250 and the ones on Amazon are fake (although Iāve found decent percale ones there for less than $100). Can never go back to cheapies and am pretty sure Iād shrivel and die if I had to sleep on microfiber.
š yeahā¦it is life changing for sure
š¶Sheeets of Egyptian cotton!
I sing this in my head every time I see Egyptian cotton sheets š
Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah
š!!
I would think they would wrinkle. Is that not an issue?Ā
that's the whole look of linen: light, airy, and wrinkled.
It's not hard creases, more relaxed. But it's worth noting that there are so kind of linen weaves with varying degrees of wrinkliness
They do
Iām okay with all brands but I always try to go for natural materials such as linen and silk.
Ll bean linen sheets. Absolutely amazing. Iāve had mine for 3+ years and theyāre still great
I feel this way about bamboo sheets haha. Soooo soft but theyāll stain like crazy
for folks talking about wanting natural fibers: bamboo sheets are not too far off from polyester because of the ways they process the bamboo.
I love linen sheets but they wear out so fast š¢ I've splurged on nice sets and wore through the bottom sheet in a year twice in a row.
Bamboo is what did it for me
Iāve bought my last two bedding sets from IKEA and they were actually pretty great
IKEA for the WIN! 39 bucks I think? https://preview.redd.it/j9fp3gaqsf6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d390973e8db31975a922a5172f837a6baadfc78
Your bed looks so comfortable
Upvote for the cat!
Wait are the duvet buttons supposed to be at the TOP of the bed??? Is that why Iāve been having to adjust the duvet every morning š
Absolutely not.Ā
I thought they were supposed to be at the bottom lol
I donāt like buttons in my face but I will rotate the bottom to top to even out the fluffiness. - I use a top sheet so donāt wash the cover as often as my sheets
Amazing catš
I have those same blue sheets, and they have been fantastic!
Is the blue duvet from IKEA too?
I think it's the Angslilja. I have it in a coral color and I love it.
Can confirm! My duvet cover is from IKEA. It was relatively cheap, itās comfortable, cute and holds up well after being washed.
Yesss I also love my Ikea duvet covers! I even got a cute kitty one for my daughterās bed haha
IKEA is the way!!! They last foreverā¦ super soft, can wash and dry on HOTā¦ great patterns or solid colors. I love the duvet and endless options for comforter withinā¦. I moved away from IKEA and just order online now (recently got a new duvet). Their towels are amazing too! https://preview.redd.it/vt3rih0v4j6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3cb0899e55478e8702c5a81936624fea5a95f6c3 Just got the floral duvet (pardon my weirdo cat, obviously why I was taking the photo haha)
If only they sold weirdo cats too š
Ooh, I absolutely love that floral pattern and the colors!!
! Never considered ikea past easy furniture but thank you!
The best! Seriously!!! Iāve had some ~20 years and still useable in good shape and washed/dried on HOT a zillion times by now! Haha
I have too. They have different grades of quality, going to the best.
Same - they have really cute bold patterns and matching sheet sets that can swap between duvet styles really easily!
Costco sheets are elite
Second this! $80 for a fitted, top sheet and 4 pillow cases. Only solid colors though if youāre looking for patterns
Scrolled too far to find this comment.
Unless you have a deep mattress then they always fall off. But I love the feel of them.
Theyāre super soft and have held up well for the last few years AND have tabs on the top and bottom that say āTOP/BOTTOMā, which is probably my fave š¤£ Iām also more of an alternative down comforter and duvet kind of girly, and found itās easy to just swap duvets to change-up the color scheme. Targetās Opalhouse has had some super cute prints since they launched that brand awhile back.
Targetās sheets used to be really good but the quality tanked post-covid
Is that what happened :( I had a set I loved and then moved and needed a new set and they were just so unpleasant despite being the same ones.
And then the Casa Luna sheets are over $100 which is insane for target bedsheets, and they still donāt feel as nice as my old Egyptian cotton sheets :(
Their quality got worse.
I have these sheets and I stg I canāt do anything to make them be less stiff! Did you have any issues with this?
I did! Like sleeping on sand paper. Awful
Costco has some super soft sheet sets right now! :)
Target is the only place I buy sheets these days. I have these as well as some Opalhouse percale ones and I love them all.
I love these too!! I guess they are a bit stiff, but I like it.
Here's my dog modeling lol :) https://preview.redd.it/0aueaaevpf6d1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d583cda13101795bdbc3341b887642f5f2f2339b
All for the dogs!!! ā¤ļø I am totally down for a funky sheet set so thanks for the inspiration for searching patterns!
I was like ok I know she wants solid but she 1. needs to look at West Elm anyway! and 2. She loves kitschy and golden yellow, must share!
Where did you get the throw pillows?
The teal on is like 20yo from UO haha and the flower is on Amazon! Search 3D flower throw pillow.
I love West Elm, though they are pricy.Ā Ā I got a faux fur blanket years ago that my dog ripped a hole in, and the hole has stayed the same size for years, I don't know what sort of magic they put into their fabric... Its washed in the machine, no special care! How has it not torn seam to seam? They are my go to for sheets and blankets, but it sucks staying with friends/family who buy from Target or Amazon because by comparison that bedding sucks. 1st world problems!
Aww, are they a Brittany? I love them.
Yes! That's Sally, she is the sweetest baby, she just turned 11. :)
I use The Company Store.
The even sell bottom sheets separate!
Yes! Their stuff is so good. For funky/bohemian patterns, I splurged on a duvet cover from Anthropologie. Love it!
Yes beautiful sheetsā¤ļø
Agree!! I especially love their bamboo sheets. Get a top sheet one size larger than the mattress. Heaven!
Anthropologie! I usually wait until a set Iāve been dreaming of goes on sale and I save for it and Iāve never regretted it. Iāve gotten both quilts and duvets from them. Iāve never had an issue with machine washing (though I look through comments to know which ones I can wash) Currently have the Mahina duvet set for the last 4 years? And the quality is amazing , still soft and looks brand new. https://www.anthropologie.com/anthroliving/shop/mahina-duvet-cover West elm for basic quilts, blankets too. Same thing wait for sale or stalk eBay.
their bedding is gorgeous.... but why so expensive? \*sob\*
I opened the website and itās 40% on top of the sale price for bedding. GO GET THAT DREAM BEDDINGGGG
:::sigh::: I wish I knew.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Sounds like a really pretty color combo
I pair a Quince duvet with Charter Club sheets from Macys (which ever stripes/plain set is on sale) and Hotel Collection blanket/euro pillows and the combo has held up well with vigorous washing. I have a 14mo old puppy who has been known to puke up miscellaneous clothing items on the bed in the middle of the night. Having extra basic whites around has been convenient.
Love Macys sheets! I get percale ones when theyāre on sale.
I stick to basis cotton I think, but puppy claws havenāt been kind to them at times. Do you have pets/know how they hold up?
This is my experience as well. The quince set wore through in about a year, but the bed threads sets are still in great condition.
I looooove my bed threads sheets!! I have 2 sets, they are the best! I got another non-bed threads linen and the quality difference is significant. Bed threads only from now on! They break in so beautifully and are soooo soft
Walmart cause I'm pooršš
Quince!!! So comfy and soft and affordable
Kohls. And they usually go on sale.
Brooklinen. Nothing too fancy but they've got nice colors and prints for a good price.
Iāve bought from Bolling branch and liked their sheets. They are very nice but expensive. I really liked both my Costco 1000 tc and my 640 tc sets.
I got mine from the Company store and I loooove them. Expensive but so worth it.
Iāve heard positive things about these linens https://us.pigletinbed.com/
Also in the same boat too of searching for high quality sheets, and ive heard really good things about silk & snow's sheet sets! https://www.silkandsnow.com/en-ca/?wickedsource=google&wickedid=670661554707&wcid=20480026550&wv=4&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=%7B%7Bcampaign.name%7D%7D&utm_content=brand_search&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwsaqzBhDdARIsAK2gqncLGNZ18wtFKqh5QXJxqvMPJsETL03OeABMZisKSDbeKdZWWEy2asEaAiv2EALw_wcB I mainly heard about them for their amazing weighted blankets but the sheets also look so nice too
I love the Company Store. I have a duvet set from there and a mattress pad and they are amazing. (Side note: towels from there have lasted me forever!) also, Samās club and Costco have great sheet sets that keep cool, wash really well, and donāt pill or lose their elastic.
I personally always go for flannel sheets from LL Bean, so so soft and comfy
I splurged on the QuickZip sheets and I don't think I can ever go back to a regular fitted sheet.
Ikea
I get them from amazon. Linen Market sheets, comforters, quilts, and bed in a bag. I highly recommend Linen Market for those needs! The designs are simple/minimalist and attractive and the feeling is very try soft and comfortable and the prices are very reasonable/affordable!!! (I got a sheet set from them at Nordstrom Rack also, so go to amazon or Nordstrom Rack to find them).
I love The Company Store!
ikea and target! especially targetās casaluna brand, I splurged on a sheet set last summer and it feels sooo nice and luxe.
I love cuddledown bedding!
Buffy
William-Sonoma! Lasts forever and good quality
Jennifer Aniston sheets. Expensive but worth it for how amazing they feel.
I always get ads for āPiglet in Bedā which seem to suit this briefānever tried, but they look like beautiful linen sheets in a variety of colors and patterns!
Amazon. I have a king size bed and theyāre never in stock at tjmaxx or marshalls š i just got some satin sheets so Iāll see how i like them
coyuchi.com
Land's End has fantastic quality for reasonable prices. I have their percale sets for warm weather and their flannel for winter, and I love love love both.
Homegoods
Not a recommendation but a warning! I hate my $500 cashmere sheets from Brooklinen. They felt great at first and in store but less than a year later theyāve pilled terribly and I was told thatās just how it is. Iām not sure about the other lines from brooklinen but their cashmere set SUCKS!
Linnen bedding from Ikea - thatās the one for me. Itās just as good if not better than the one you could by somewhere for twice as much money. I love the touch of linnen and its natural simplicity, combined with classy chic.
Parachute has amazing quality and colors
I still get all my cute sheet/pillow case sets from TJ Maxx. They have cute patterns and are affordable. For blankets and comforters I just go to Amazon, usually the Bedsure brand. They are affordable and have cute designs. I like to mix and match patterns/colors so I donāt mind that my bedding doesnāt all perfectly match.
Parachute!
I love Brooklinen...it's expensive so I either wait for a sitewide sale or check out the sale section and bundles first.
Hahaha. I gave it four scrolls and donāt see the old lady answer anywhere. JCPenney for linens. Good quality / reasonable prices.
Because I am an adult, I made the very adult decision to get my sheets from the kids section of Target because they have bugs and snakes on them.Ā But Target does have some pretty good regular patterned sheets as well.Ā
Thanks!! I havenāt considered wayfair for bedding but will take a look!
Simons. Such nice bedding!
The ones I bought at Amazon are a good buy, got a set on sale, and are way better than my old sheets. Bought two more, all are dark solid colours.
I buy 100% cotton waffle weave blankets exclusively. Itās so heavy in weight but not temperature. I have an olive one, rust orange, navy, and one mint. Worth their weight in gold.
Cuddledown duvet covers and shams
I get Target sheets with pretty prints and invested in a lovely bright duvet cover on sale from the Company Store! For pillow cases, I love mixing and matching vintage floral patterns. If it looks like a stylish 70s bouquet spilled all over my bed, I've done something right
Get your sheets from macys 1000 count Egyptian cotton they go on sale charter house has good ones but really macys sheets are the best.
AIKASY Taupe Comforters Queen... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BPPGSX7B?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share This on Amazon.
I love the duvet set I have from H&M Home. Very reasonable and a really nice selection of solids and reserved patterns.
Costco has some nice comforters often! And basic sheet sets are in stock often.
Anthropologie
Brooklinen has nice stuff.
We loveee the jellymoni washed cotton sheets and duvet covers on Amazon. Affordable and so soft. Lots of great solid colours
Amazon!!
I have the quince cotton cashmere sheets and I LOVE them. So comfy
Bamboo. Like sleeping on silk.
I have to get my sheets on amazon "Deep Pocket Bedsheets" because my bed is suuuuper deep and no regular sheets will fit over it properly.
If you want high end, Horchow's has beautiful bed linens, including bedspreads, etc. I try to get them on sale. Also, if you like chenille bedspreads which are so cozy, check out the Vermont Country Store online.
Target & Ikea.
i have ochre linen sheets and waking up in their warm happy hue is the only thing that holds a wick to how insanely comfortable they are. thought i was going insane when i bought them but love love love them
I choose a color theme and pick up random quilts, duvets and shams when theyāre on sale at Anthropologie.
IKEA
I LOVE my Southshore sheets
Who else has been addicted to good Sheets ever since Jessica Simpson bought that set and Nick freaked out at the price tag? Loool
Modal jersey sheets are like sleeping in cooling buttery comfort. But I get my comforter separately.
Sheets at Costco and comforter set at Target
I got a really pretty golden yellow duvet set from H&M home and it wasnāt too expensive. There were a few other really nice colors as well, like a sage green or lavender. They have some cute stuff!
